That point in the second half where arsenal tried to press him and he just dropped the shoulder and strode into midfield
That was our best performance in quite a while, almost perfect apart from the error for their goal. You know it’s good when oppo fans have to resort to nitpicking over refs decisions. Early days, but I reckon the signs are there that we’ve actually improved. A scary thought for everyone else.

Pranks is unusually quiet on all things FF this morning
Jota looks like he’s constantly able to find a yard of space, which is huge for us as another option. Minamino is looking much improved this season as a rotation option as well.
Throw Thiago in the mix and Hendo too, boy we are looking strong.

Guess I was proven wrong about Alisson after all after his save against Lacazette. Saves like that which win matches.
Impressive performance overall. I liked Jota's impact from the bench, seems a positive start and glad he got his goal. Only criticism is I've been a touch disappointed with Firmino recently, doesn't seem to be doing as much as he once was. Maybe I'm being a bit critical again.
I’ve been dissapointed with his use of the ball when he’s had it, used to such higher standards. He did press like a maniac yesterday though.
Yeah I will give him that, his pressing game was good yesterday. Just somewhat disappointed with his ball work in comparison to what he has shown he is capable of doing. We all know he wasn't netting 20+ a season, but used to get into double figures, doesn't seem to hit the net as often no more.

Yeah I will give him that, his pressing game was good yesterday. Just somewhat disappointed with his ball work in comparison to what he has shown he is capable of doing. We all know he wasn't netting 20+ a season, but used to get into double figures, doesn't seem to hit the net as often no more.

Yeah his goal return has been heading in the wrong direction for a while now.
His main problem is he just doesn’t have that goal scorers instinct a proper no.9 has. You see the full backs flash it across the six yard area and often all it needs is a tap in, but often there is nobody there.
If he had that awareness he would score so many more than he does currently.
Jota scored so many of those types of goals for Wolves last season and for me its not a coincidence he had 3 goal scoring chances in about 10 minutes. He won’t take all of them obviously but he’s in the right positions to take advantage.
