Seem to remember a lot of our fans being happy for him to move on in the summer. Imagine how screwed we would be if he had.

I mean it turns out Thiago doesnt exist so that sort of changes the situation a bit.

Its daft that you can name a 25 man squad and when players are out for the season you can't name a replacement.

Need an IL like they have in baseball, ability to move somebody off the 25 man squad onto an injured list to replace them with somebody else.

Might be worth making Phillips first choice along with Matip so we can push Fabinho back into midfield, at least until we get some players back.

Thought he had another good game today.

Who exactly are we replacing injured players with? We have no one else and no special baseball list is gonna change that

Maybe it's time to cover lack of midfield with 3 at the back? Fabinho in the middle of Matip and Williams/Philips. Means he can step forward too.

Can't play on the CL.

I think we should play 4231. Hendo and Gini in the middle and the front four.

Scathing comments from the players after yesterday's game.

Klopp may have been a bit OTT but you can fully understand his frustration. What an unbelievably difficult season this has been so far.

I've never been one believe in conspiracy theories but I do think there is an agenda against us. Whether its the FA wanting a more competitive league or project big picture annoyance. We are literally up against 12 men every game.

Don't believe there's a conspiracy. Simply s victim of rotten luck on the VAR front. Having VAR hasn't solved the problem of inept referees it's just highlighted their ineptitude.

Injuries are ridiculous, muscle injuries are hugely up this season from last by 40 odd percent, but we've lost massive players to players trying to injure them (VVD, Thiago) on top of it.

It will be a struggle for a few weeks. I've written off this season tbh. Not enjoyable at all.

Honestly this forum is just boring now.

Klopp and the players are making the same argument that other players, managers and fans have made of every team on the past few years.

But the ridiculous tribal nature of this board means suddenly VAR is the saving grace of football and we should just play youth players if we need to rest players, because that's what the broadcasters spend billions to show.

Does feel like whenever there is a 50:50 decision they are always going against us.

Particularly hard to take when VAR decides not to even bother reviewing opposition players breaking our players legs. The Mane offside against Everton was an absolute disgrace as well.

My issue is still with the people operating the technology. I’m sorry but they are just imbeciles, every single one of them.

Classic example yesterday in the Everton game. Easy decision to give offside in this case but it’s just proof of the kind of idiots we are dealing with. Correctly draw the line from James’ shoulder as that is the most advanced part of the body he can score with, but bizarrely then decide to draw the offside defensive line from the Leeds players feet, despite clearly the rest of his body being further back.

Honestly you have to laugh, or you will cry.

Just proves to me that they are looking for reasons to rule goals out, exactly what fans don't want.

Don't know if anyone else saw this yesterday about where they drew the lines for the Salah goal, but I'm likewise struggling to understand it.

Didn't take long to be called 'victims'. Still angers me to this day that it seems to be completely acceptable to use a Hillsborough themed insult on this forum.

I’m not sure they are trying to rule goals out on purpose, however for me it proves that there is absolutely zero consistency in making these offside calls from week to week.

Two identical situations can lead to either a goal being called as half a yard onside or a half a yard offside, purely as they choose/decide on the day.

If that’s not blatantly laying the foundations for bias and corruption, I don’t know what is.

VAR needs to get in the bin. The system should work well but we have absolute morons operating it and hence it is has been an utter shambles.

That’s before you even consider it is killing the excitement. I was barely able to properly celebrate any of our goals yesterday because of the fear of being ruled out and I was right on two occasions. How tragic is that? How many of you lot generally celebrated those goals yesterday?

They need to do it like they're doing it in Holland, have the lines be 10cm and if they overlap at any point then you stick with the onfield decision by the lino, or tweak it to benefit the attacking team.

Salah is scoring that goal yesterday regardless of his foot being offside or not.
