Does feel like whenever there is a 50:50 decision they are always going against us.

Particularly hard to take when VAR decides not to even bother reviewing opposition players breaking our players legs. The Mane offside against Everton was an absolute disgrace as well.

My issue is still with the people operating the technology. I’m sorry but they are just imbeciles, every single one of them.

Classic example yesterday in the Everton game. Easy decision to give offside in this case but it’s just proof of the kind of idiots we are dealing with. Correctly draw the line from James’ shoulder as that is the most advanced part of the body he can score with, but bizarrely then decide to draw the offside defensive line from the Leeds players feet, despite clearly the rest of his body being further back.

Honestly you have to laugh, or you will cry.

Just proves to me that they are looking for reasons to rule goals out, exactly what fans don't want.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not sure they are trying to rule goals out on purpose, however for me it proves that there is absolutely zero consistency in making these offside calls from week to week.

Two identical situations can lead to either a goal being called as half a yard onside or a half a yard offside, purely as they choose/decide on the day.

If that’s not blatantly laying the foundations for bias and corruption, I don’t know what is.

VAR needs to get in the bin. The system should work well but we have absolute morons operating it and hence it is has been an utter shambles.

That’s before you even consider it is killing the excitement. I was barely able to properly celebrate any of our goals yesterday because of the fear of being ruled out and I was right on two occasions. How tragic is that? How many of you lot generally celebrated those goals yesterday?

Jota's goal and Salah's goal yes, because I still believe then were both legitimate.

Don't know if anyone else saw this yesterday about where they drew the lines for the Salah goal, but I'm likewise struggling to understand it.

That is just ridiculous.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That doesn't really show anything to be fair. I thought salah was offside. No issues with anything from yesterday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem I have with that is they’ve taken the line from his right foot, surely his left shoulder is the point!

Mane was miles offside and had a huge advantage being offside in a freekick situation. However can anyone say Salah would have missed if he was an inch further back? If you need to do a forensic analysis then it's not offside. Go back to no lines, look at a replay, if you still think it's clearly offside go for it. If you can't tell still, advantage goes to forward.

Still think it should be done on a review basis to stop some of these ridiculously close decisions going to VAR for 2 or 3 minutes only to be even more controversial than before VAR.

The Spurs fans on here will have a different tone when they get some longterm injuries today

Let’s see how they cope with just one injury, without Alderweireld, today.

Be interesting to see just how much PL clubs are spending on injured players' salaries.

This season is a write off for me. It’s plain to see that Klopp’s style of football cannot be successfully achieved without a full preseason to get the players up to speed and conditioned.
Top 4 is all I’m expecting. Any sort of silverware would be a bonus with how injuries and officiating has affected us.

I personally still fancy us for the league. It's a wide open season and I think once the likes of Thiago and Trent are back we will kick on. Could definitely do with one or two additions in January though.

If we’re within a win or 2 from top spot come January we’ll be in good shape. Unfortunately with us playing Wednesday then early Saturday 3 more times between now and Xmas I see us dropping more points and players

What is Klopp style of football now? Its certainly not the gegen high pressing for 90mins he was known for and what we were doing early on. We have multiple styles in this squad.

The VVD long pass has been taken out but if we ever get Thiago on the pitch that would be a new dimension.

I can’t us doing it personally.

We’ve coped admirably but the injury crisis is starting to catch up with us now and won’t be easing any time soon and can see it continuing to get worse. Injuries means the fit group get overworked which means more injuries. Vicious circle that we are unlikely to get out of at any point this season.

Couple that with VAR facking us over most weeks it’s going to be too difficult I feel.

I’m more optimistic in the CL, hopefully we qualify from the group and be able to field a strongish 11 for the knockout stages and then we see how we go from there.

I've found it weird how many people are saying that our injuries are to do with Klopp's high intensity pressing game, as if they haven't watched us for two years.

I wouldn't be to so down and out yet, it's a tough season for everyone and I'd be sure Spurs' players will start suffering from fatigue and injuries as we head into December where points are there to be won/lost over a short period of time. Not all hope is lost, but the injury crisis is making a huge difference.

The next couple of months are crucial.

Exactly very lazy punditry like its still 2016

Do people think that because other teams haven’t suffered like us with injuries thus far, then they’re not going to all season?

Hopefully at the turn of the year we’ll have most of our players back, and maybe it’ll be the turn of some of the other teams to suffer. I think we’ve managed it as well as we could have, I wonder how Spurs would cope in our position......

Honestly, it could be anyone challenging. The state of this season with fixture congestion, players dropping like flies and the state var is leaving the game in leaves a totally unpredictable season.

I wonder how many gols have been ruled out by microscopic VAR 'decisions' in the leagues that use it.

I thort the authorities wanted more gols?
