Would it be harsh to say City should have to forfeit the game? Leyton Orient had to against Spurs when they likewise had a big Covid outbreak.

It sounds like they can't even train so will likely have further postponements.

Good luck to City in making up these fixtures. They already have a semi final and another PL fixture to make up.

Could have 3 games in hand already by the weekend if that's called off as well.

No idea where they'll fit those in.

They’ll have plenty of free midweeks come April time.

Chance our game against Newcastle may be postponed
Because they were in contact with City players apparently.

Shouldn’t be problem as long as they test negative id imagine.

---------------

Yes it would be harsh.

The Leyton Orient game was in a different competition.

Different competition, same virus. Whilst in no way do I think City should forfeit any match, I would imagine Orient are feeling pretty hard done by.

The rules were laid out right from the start with the CC. The early rounds were also packed in weekly. There was no space in the early calendar to reschedule any game postponed. The league has to be played for obvious reasons and potentially there is another 5 months to fit j a one off game.

Ah ok, get it. I’d imagine Orient are still feeling hard done by, whatever the rules state. I don’t mean unfairly treated, more about missing out on the chance to play Spurs.

I can’t believe I’m saying it but I feel for Everton. They’ll have to schedule in another game in an already packed season.

League 1 & 2 clubs I’d understand not able to field an Xi with a few subs on the bench but there is no excuse for a PL team. City have the biggest squad in the league and an array of promising youngsters to choose from. I hope our neighbours across the park find some sort of discrepancy in the PL and are rightly awarded a 3-0 win

Yeah, would probably have been televised too so they'd have got a decent payday even without fans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But had it been postponed due to bad weather, they could've rescheduled.

Iago Aspas is apparently a football genius:

“ Think of him as a kind of Galician Leo, only on fast forward: wilder, more feral, more open and a lot more loquacious. A wound-up version, thrusting that chest out, everywhere and in everyone's face. The kind of man who can pass, run, score, assist and start a fight in an empty house.”
