Yeah I think the game against Southampton proves Henderson has to be in that right central spot and if that means playing Williams or Phillips, so be it.

Hopefully in training they are trialing a deeper line because Williams and Phillips make Maguire look like Usain Bolt.

Depends on the system. If Thiago starts in midfield, maybe playing higher could be the best option as a midfield of Henderson, Thiago and Wijnaldum will retain good positions and possession well throughout the game.
It will also make it a really compact central area with them 3 in the midfield so making it tough for the likes of Fernandes or Pogba to break through the lines of midfield.

That's true about the front 3, but I also think they haven't benefitted from Wijnaldum, Thiago and Henderson in midfield, which would be the preferred trio I think at the moment.
As much as I rate Jones and I think players like Milner, Ox, Shaqiri etc can do a good job in the midfield, they don't consistently have the same impact as Henderson, Thiago and Wijnaldum in midfield and I believe the latter 3 also have more discipline to make it much tougher in the middle third for United during transitions and when they have the ball.

Even if we win does anyone believe we will keep key players fit or go on a run? Nothing gone for us this season apart from somehow staying top or near the top despite bs decisions injuries and absolute dog sheite performances vs relegation fodder when we could have gained a nice point cushion lead.

We are in the mix already thats the only positive atm. Everything else has been sheite as i said. And there will be a load of teams in the mix as there is now i imagine. Weird season, sheite covid footy just aint the same and its taken a back seat for me already anyway.
Ill just be happy if we can keep thiago fit for his career with us. And watching jones come through. And Elliott on loan. Theyre the highlights for me this season.
