It's weird that we've just lost to Everton and I don't actually feel all that bothered. This season is so strange that it's taken it all away from me.

Think most fans feel out of touch with their teams due to not being able to go to the games. Not a fan of all these staggered PL games too. Surely they can keep Saturday 3pm games and spread 3/4 games across Sky, BT, BBC and Prime video?

Yep 100% this.

Football is nothing without the fans and it never will be. They support the team through thick and thin, put money into following and supporting the club, and will be there in 30,40,50 years time. Players can get paid millions of pounds but at the end of the day, the fans are what makes the club what it is.

I know it was a wum article just posted, but out of interest does anyone actually still want the title parade to happen this summer? I really hope it doesn't, after the way we have given up our title, it would cement us as the biggest banter club in football history to celebrate a title after finishing 10th.

Thought TAA was our best player.

Alisson 5 - couldn't do anything about the first goal, second goal shouldn't have been a penalty but got close to it despite it being right in the corner.

TAA 7 - was our best attacking threat and also did well offensively.

Henderson 5 - did well for the short time he was on the pitch

Kabak 3 - kept misjudging high balls, although in difficult circumstances

Robertson 6 - did well offensively and defensively.

Wijnaldum 5 - didn't do much, held onto the ball and passed it.

Thiago 5 - as above.

Jones 5 - as above

Salah 5 - didn't get into good positions and going down too easily

Firmino 3 - why does he keep passing it to the keeper or ballooning shots?

Mane 5 - tried his heart out but ineffective

The only chance we have in the CL is if VVD gets fit. We are defensively not good enough to take the best of Europe. Bayern or PSG will win it.

Trent did have that delicious cross that 99% of centre forwards would have made the the run for and tapped into the net.

Unfortunately we have a centre forward that doesn’t score goals.

We have to start scoring before being concerned about the defence.

The moment the ball is played to Trent then Firmino should have made the run to the near or back post for a tap in. Firmino hasn't this natural instinct.

Firmino shouldn’t be an automatic starter for us, he’s just not consistently good enough imo. I think Klopp knows this, hence why Jota was starting more games than Bobby. Then the bloody injury happened....

I really wish we would get our best players back in the midfield, but playing them out of position we aren't just missing our three best centre backs, but our two best midfielders who provide a lot of cover to the defence, winning the ball back in midfield and allowing our attackers to get on the front foot.

By playing them deep, and training them to remain deep we have a weaker defence, midfield and a lessened attack, the full backs can't be as attack minded and we are spending a year teaching two of the best midfielders in the league to play at centre back.. the longer they are away from the midfield the less specialised they will become.

Phillips isn't terrible, I'd rather see him/kablak/Davies with a strong midfield ahead of them, than a weak midfield and a weak backline.
