There was a moment in the game when Mane had a 1v1 with Rudiger and he was beaten. Mane is out of forms since he came back from covid.

There is no doubt we will come stronger next season when all the players are fit and we can add more quality players to this squad. Time for Origi to move on, Gini will leave on a free and Phillips is not good enough so we need to add a quality CB who can play in a high line system.

I agree with you. Kabak looked more confident than in the previous games.

The problem we have is the lack of pressing in midfield which leads to time on the ball for the opposition to pick a pass or switch play to the other side.

The midfield were all over the place last night. I don't think pressing was the issue, they weren't a unit. It was crazy the amount of times all three were in completely different areas of the pitch both on the ball and off it, easily bypassed on the counter and not offering support to the full backs when they received in wide in their own half, resulting in punts up the pitch. Midfield was awful, as a unit.

Mane got outpaced by Christianson at one point and he's not even quick. Is this the decline or burnout for Mane. Hard to say.

What good luck? VAR was slightly positive to us, as in a net decisions in favour of +1. A one in a 100 year pandemic almost robbed us of the title. Any time we have been at the summit our luck has been comically bad, be it the captain slipping or being a pixel away from scoring an equalising goal against City that would have seen us win the league 2 years ago. We are owed 10 titles with the luck we have had these last 30 years.
