because they work in tandem or you/they expect them to work in tandem by staying in the PL and even offering spots to the ESL through CL/league positions?

why dont you read the proposals, you say you understand but you clearly havent a clue on the plans that so disgust you.

Bizarre to feel so strongly against something you dont understand. I dont support it with no relegation, but any relegation/promotion would come from other international competitions. not domestic leagues.

The status quo will see the spanish and italian leagues collapse in the next few years, and any clubs owed money by Real, Barca or Juve will have severe financial repercussions

Football was ruined by money more than 20 years ago, look at spiralling player wages and agent fees, ridiculous fees.

City just splashed 100m on someone who i dont even see in their first team, after a year of no fans... How?! unless something drastic is done to stabilise wages, transfer fees and agents wages its a matter of time untill the whole system collapses.

the ESL sought to address that, albeit in a way im not completely on board with

Love how many oppo fans follow our thread

Of that £225m how much was already budgeted for? With their expensive squad salaries, how much lost through win bonuses?

I reckon there about £50m left, and empty stadiums to consider, dunno why City fans get so tetchy about the fact they buy competitions, and the competitions are extremely lopsided due to their spending, it's not even a debatable fact at this point.

There's a reason the two oil clubs dropped out of the ESL first. They like the status quo

yeah i agree with all that but i just dont think its gonna be as easy as everyone else rolling over for the ESL clubs. Even with some Spanish judge quashing the fines.

Also its not that i favour CL over ESL i have no love for Uefa its more where i fear down the line if ESL is successful where it will head. And the fact the owners who came up with the idea, ours being one of the main ones. They will never have fans interests at heart first and foremost. So yeah ofc i have my concerns over it.

They’ve done well.

They’re also after ward-Prowse. Not the most flashy of names but he’ll add a set piece threat and is another tidy midfield player to further strengthen their squad.

They’ve very quietly assembled a strong premier league squad over the past couple seasons.

Sounds like a good deal for that price.

Daka scored today and won a penalty. Looked good, movements great and hes got a bit of pace and eye for goal. That 23’m will look a bargain i reckon.

posted on 31/7/21

I think Daka will be very streaky this season. He'll score 4 or 5 goals in 8 matches then won't score for 10 games.

Next season he'll start to produce more consistently imo.

I've always rated JWP and he is a bit Milner like where he can also play full back and combative. He is always available and won't be the worst Gini replacement.

posted on 1/8/21

I like him too but I’d only want him as a milner replacement, not a Gini one.

Need a little bit more quality for Gini replacement
