Not a fan of Kessie and Bissouma is accused of being a cex offender so Zakaria who is European looks a better fit to me.

Agree with this, would really like to lower our reliance on African players.

Which is why I've said before that ACON should be done outside the European season!

How many games has Keita missed since his latest injury?

Just give up on the bloke to be honest. I'd sell him in the summer but we wouldn't get anything for him anyway, just waiting for his contract to run down now.

13 apparently.

It's a shame because he's played well when available.

Keita is a good player, hope we keep him as when he has played he's been decent.

He may well get better injury wise as Ox has.

Weren't Ox's injuries impact causing ones as a result of bad tackles?

Keita's injuries are never ending muscular ones, hamstring, groin, calf. You never shake those.

Every club has one.

I imagine Chelsea would like to see a lot more than Pulisic for example.

Thing with Keita is he is playing less every season. I'm a big fan but he is struggling for sure.

From Pulisic*

Bissouma has shown his quality in the league, don’t really know much about Kessie or Zikaria. Definitely agree on the limiting the over reliance on African players though, half the team would be off in January.

Taffarel joins our coaching staff but he's not replacing Achterberg and instead he gets Alisson exclusively.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
WTF??

So is Achterberg just gonna collect the balls?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's got Karius which is a full time job alone
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I forgot he was at the club!!

Team selection for tonight surely just a formality? (assuming everyone is fit)

Alisson
TAA Konate VVD Robertson
Henderson Fabinho Thiago
Salah Jota Mane

Konate or Matip the only questionable one really.

I think Matip is a must tonight

I’d go Matip

Yeah Konate looked a bit suspect against Southampton, and against a Rafa team I feel Matip has to start!

Would be a bit harsh to drop Konate after Southampton, don't think he made any more mistakes than say Thiago did. Tonight will be a physical game which I think would suit him more than Matip.

Although I'm not fussed either way, as long as Van Dijk knocks Pickford out

I'd be tempted to go Ox over Thiago, just because Thiago is likely to receive a few crunching challenges where players can't get near him.

Also Matip over Konate, just for the aerial prowess as much as I like Konate.

So to save Thiago you will put in a even more injury prone player just incase they get a crunching tackle?

Because Thiago is going to be way more important going forward; and I think Ox is less likely to frustrate the opposition in a way that would draw that kind of tackle.

See Richarlison last year.

Still think that is OTT. The one on Thiago was naughty but no way Pickford intended to catch VvD like that. And I doubt Anchelotti has ever sent a team out in his life with the instructions of hurting opposition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Everton mouth breathers don't need instruction. Forget Goodison though, the even more disgraceful scenes were in Anfield. No fight, no revenge tackles for what they did, capitulated to them and Firmino even sucked off Richarlison on Instagram.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not everyone is bitter and twisted 👍

You can’t pick teams based on the fact that you think the opposition may try and injure them. If teams think you’re likely to do that then what do you think they’re going to do? They’ll target players even more. Not to mention the negative psychological effects on our own players. Ox thinking he’s getting picked because Klopp would rather him get injured than Thiago would be great for dressing room morale….
