Don't be an агse, they weren't asking for £400k pw, plus Salah, Mane et al get huge goal bonuses.
Salah's current basic of 200kpw is supplemented with bonuses worth up to £8m pa (or roughly £160k pw). If he's asking to double his salary that's approx £36m pa including bonuses (roughly £720k pw) over 4 years that equates to £144m. I can see why FSG might balk at that.

why do we have to go over this every time? it is what it is, Klopp knows it thats why he says we can't operate like other clubs, he accepts the owners position which is clear to see. Self-sustained club we spend what we earn and not a penny until the funds are earnt. Or if we do we cut back for a few windows until sales cover it or w.e.
As for wages, yh we are up there as tio 4/5 in the prem, but our wage to turnover theres only 5 or 6 with a better %.

Good decision to postpone last week it looks like then
and of the top 6 only utd cause their turnover is so big (gaps closed each year recently) and spurs who pay pennies in wages (again gaps closing, especially as they spend more and if they wanna keep their top players) Son Kane etc now on 200k. Their stadium will help but still their wage bills gonna keep growing at a faster rate than the rest of the top 6.
It's like wanting to be taller when you've stopped growing. You can't.

If he wants investment the owners arent willing to change the model for and Klopps decided hes happy to follow. Then i don't think we can blame Salah. Don't think any of us would blame him if as one of the best in the world he wants one of the best pay packets in the world either.

There have been murmurings of this being a big summer of spending for us so we'll see how it pans out. A bit of talk of Bellingham being Edwards's parting gift. He's definitely going to do something big before he goes.
