Wem-ber-ly! Wem-ber-ly!!

You lot should have jumped at the leicester and arsenal tickets.

You’d have been in the ballot for tickets to the final.

Matip was having a poor game by his recent standards. No wonder he was hooked.

Konate was excellent when he came on.

You mean just buy them so you can get into the ballot and not attend the actual games?

Thought Taki looked really good when came on too.

He's a bit unfortunate that he's never going to get a run of games due to who's ahead of him, but if he's happy to be nothing more than a sub then I don't think we could find much better.

If couldn’t make it to games could distribute them to others.

Trent really needs to be mentioned in the same breath as your Mbappes and Haalands. Legend in the making.

Really really happy with that Jones performance. Still needs to release the ball quicker but we used to say the same thing about Wijnaldum too.

The guy is world class. The responsibilities on his young shoulders and to step up is simply amazing.

They wax lyrical about Cancelo all season but his stats don't even compare with Trent. He is the best.

Still glad Southgate is dumb enough not to pick him. It gives Trent rest time.

Klopp confirms that Matip is not injured and Ox is running again but needs a training session.

I don't think he'll ever be mentioned in the same breath as them due to being a RB and also being a RB that specifically functions in how our team is set up. You put Mbappe and Haaland in most teams and they'll still score a lot of goals be huge attacking threats. You put TAA in a lot of teams and his numbers will be nothing like what he produces for us. Long may it continue but I'll be really interested to see how he evolves when Klopp goes and we maybe change how we currently play with a new manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he'd be a midfielder under most managers.

Tbh you take anyone out of this setup bar maybe Van Dijk, Alisson and Fabinho...they all suffer to an extent. Even Salah's numbers drop imo

Trent is at his best when he's got time and space on the ball to pick passes which he will get the most of in a full back position. Also getting forward in wide positions because his final ball in those areas is the best in the world.

I don't think he'll ever be nearly as effective in a central midfield position where he is receiving the ball under pressure with back to goal and having to turn. I remember him playing there in a game for England against ordinary opposition and he didn't look comfortable at all. Only one game I know but it just looked to take away the opportunity to do things he is strong at.

The current system will always be the best for him I think, starting at right back with the freedom to venture into those central positions. It will always rely on us having a disciplined Henderson type in midfield on that right side of the midfield three however, as the defensive work he does in covering the space Trent leaves behind is so important.

14 goals from Jota this season, maybe Salah isn't irreplaceable

Well yeah because he won't have Trent & Robbo providing all those pinpoint crosses for one.

Jota was such a good signing. When we do sign players, as rare as that is compared to other clubs, we do so often get it right.

He's another one that was picked out purely for statistics on his involvement.

He was 4th arguably 5th choice at wolves for three positions when we came calling. He had very similar career stats to mane prior to his transfer here actually, I was reading about it a few days ago.

We bought Jota when Adama had the better season which is now looking like a masterclass
