You are the one whining, about a weather advisory that doesn't affect you.. heat is relative, I walk about it shorts and t-shirt right through the winter, even in the snow.. so how do you think a temperature 30 degrees higher than I find comfortable will affect me?

And I'm guessing your friend is US based? Somewhere where perhaps it doesn't get as cold as here during the winter? It's called acclimatisation, look it up

Other colleagues love this heat, but as a lot of outdoors workers will tell you, you end up having to hydrate a hell of a lot more, and chances are you won't have handy toilets to use every hour.

And that's before you start factoring in other reasons for the health advisory such as sunstroke and heat exhaustion.

It's amazingly ironic that you posted a whinge, then complain a completely reasonable response is a whinge and hold up your anecdotal evidence of your mate from Texas also your use of the term "Dirt work"
