Firmino was injured a lot last season. His first season with injuries so I would discount the 10 starting appearences because it would have been a lot more if fit.

This basically. I would like to keep him for footballing reasons but he isn't part of our future really and would not start the majority of games.

I'm pretty sure if I looked hard enough that ala Mane I could find plenty of posts saying Firmino was in decline, that he couldn't finish and that we should look elsewhere moving forward.

It'll give Carvalho more chances and although it's probably not the best decision THIS season, it could well be in the future ones and as said I don't think it would be any surprise that Firmino actually wants to leave.

We almost did a quad last season because we had strength in depth. Carvalho yes nice touches and flicks in pre season but he is not ready for the elite stuff. All 5 forwards last season played their part at some point and to not replace Bobby (still a IF) would be a mistake for me.

In the second half of the season, yeah. Diaz made his debut on the 10th Feb.

Expecting us to compete for the quad again is just setting yourself up for huge disappointment tbh

Bobby did drop off in form massively at one point, he wasnt even offering the one thing hes good at for the team, the energy/pressing was half arrsed. I remember a lot pinning it on burnout.

For me hes one of the most frustrating players we've ever had but i love him as annoying as it is watching him fail to complete 10 simple 5 yard passes in a row only to try and fail with no look flick on the 11th like hes been on fire and nailed every pass prior.

Nah i'm not a fan. If Titty gets banned for one his outbursts then he can't get back on. Plus others like Lamcam who's Hendo hate can be entertaining especially when he plays well.

I've wondered whether it's worth creating a sock account specifically for the thread, then we can control who is filtered / one match banned independently from our own accounts.

Can also use filter rather than one match ban that way, so it's not permanent.

You don't expect the quad because even our 2 cups were 0-0 (pens) but its more the level we were playing at. We could afford to have Salah not at his usual level because others were stepping in.

Yes another reason. With Bobby being injured we were able to cope with the 4 rotating.

So we'll miss injured Firmino? I don't think that adds up.

Not being funny but a lot of what you are writing seems a bit erroneous at best.

Saying things like Jesus was a reserve and Sterling didn't start when they both started the majority of games and then saying we will miss Firmino because we didn't struggle when he was injured a lot seems to have a willful amount of spin.

Now you are making things up. Losing Mane trumps anything City are losing and to add Bobby in the mix makes it a rebuild for us.

Firmino played his part early on in the season. He was outstanding against United at OT and we know we can rely on him. He bring something completely different to the forward line and to casually say a kid who had the same stats as Harry Wilson last season is enough is lunacy.

Bobby goes then owners/Klopp need to spend. Simple as that.

You wanted Mane out 12 months ago. I thought you'd be happy.

As long as new account stuck to this thread, I'd be fine.

I'd make the rule rigid to avoid chaos (well more chaos)
