Elliott is getting less minutes for Villa than he got for us. Does the loan clause have appearences on it?
posted 6 days, 15 hours ago
I read the obligation becomes active if he makes 10 appearances in all comps including off the bench. Others say it’s 10 starts.
I wonder even with that if there is the option for the two clubs to cancel the move. I’d have him back.

It's like Sancho last season everyone thought he would be Chelseas no matter what but they took the 5m fine and sent him back. Guess we don't know the hidden clauses

I’d absolutely have him back. Having him and Wirtz behind the CF would work nicely.
Based on the current scores Arsenal truly are going to walk the league this season. City still aren’t at it. I think it’s finally their time.

Only the fact that if he makes so many they have to buy him.

Weird all round. Made sense for him to leave to get minutes, but if Emery doesn't want him he might as well come back and sit on our bench instead.

Seemed a strange choice at the time. Villa have a crazy number of players in those attacking midfield positions.

Arsenal will likely win it because their defence is unreal but their set piece reliance must surely run out at some point right?
Could be they've already won the league when it does but 3 of their last 4 wins have all been from a set piece.
I don't see how that's sustainable across a whole season.

When their closest challengers are this poor it should be more than enough.
posted 6 days, 13 hours ago
They have bottled it before but it will be hard to stop Arsenal

They are so boring to watch. I was flicking from City to Wolves game.

I look forward to the "they've only won the league because everyone else was crap" shouts that we got last year

Arteta as a premier league winning manager just sounds wrong. I guess I’ve got 7 months to get used to it. City are too inconsistent and even if we find form, we’ll be too far off the pace.

Arsenal attacking play is so poor. I think we have played the harder games and we are still within a chance to win it if we fix the defensive issues.

I think we should go all in on the CL imo whilst still finishing top 4

Unless we have fixed them by the next time we play in the league and Arsenal have an injury meltdown the league is done.

Arsenal are 17th in goals scored in open play. This stat gives me a bit of confidence.

Couldn't believe that stat when I saw it.
They'd deserve it but it's absolutely mental if they win the league playing this way.

I'm watching Spurs scoring two set piece goals. Arsenal Villa and Bournemouth scored their goals from corners and a free kick today. This is becoming a set piece orientated league at the moment.

Yeah just gonna say the same. Everton scored from one too but ruled out. Set pieces and long throws galore.
