Stuart Hall's not commentating it is he?!!
No, but QPR are playing their Joker...

I think this might be the last time we're invited to Wembley
Gorgeous George will play him like a fiddle.
I'd like us to start like Hull and finish like Arsenal.....

Bit late on this one but for me:
Bryson
Thorne
Hendrick
As others have said, these three have the energy and strength to deal with the likes of The Last Samurai (Barton), Kranjcar and Morrison, but still offer something going forward.
I think it will be like a 7-a-side match in the midfield, with everyone attacking with the ball, but every man behind it without. I don't think Hughes has the legs or physical presence for that. Let the others soften them up then send him on for another sublime finish, or two!
I'd go with Bryson on the bench. I just think the Hughsy has the skill to unlock their defence and keep our tempo high He was on fire against Brightion and we need that level of performance to win it. Hughsy earned his place, don't change the side that produced the best performance of the season.
Took the rest of yesterday off to celebrate / appease Mrs A after the stresses of Sat am.
I go with the general concensus (?) that Hughes will start on the bench, but there's a f@g (sorry admin) paper in it !
Ultimate faith in Steve to know the right combination and also the players with the temperament & character to perform on the day on the big stage !
My take on it for what it's worth is that Thorne is a shoe-in to start. The truth is I really don't mind which combination that SM plays we will be to mobile for them. Wembley is a wide pitch and we will do something Wigan failed to do, get in behind them.
Have no fear, this Derby team has too much pace and movement for QPR, roll on Saturday.
Come on you Rams, make us proud.
For me, it’s Thorne and Bryson + 1, and I would probably go with Hendrick over Hughes.
The way QPR will likely set themselves up, the extra energy is vital for me. It’s tough on the boy Hughes, but it’s a tough business.
Thorne has a good range of passing, and I think this is why McClaren has been happy to leave Hughes on the bench so much in the run-in. We aren’t as desperate for Hughes’ passing ability in the side, as we are with Eustace in the holding role.
As others have said, whichever way McClaren goes, it’s great that we find ourselves in a position to debate this ahead of a big game. Too often over the past few years, the team has picked itself, and it’s a sign of how far this team has evolved under McClaren.
It is a great problem to have and you have to go back a while to when the team was so settled. Hard to call but I just feel Hughes over Bryson, he really got his mojo back last week, added bonus that if he has a mare of a game then no one will want to buy him!
..............Eustace.................
.......Bailey.........Coutts..........
That is not a bad MF in my opinion
Bit early to be on the sauce Wellies?!
Thorne, Hendrick, Bryson, for sure.
Hughes will come on last 30. Fresh legs. His time will come to start. Too be an occasion for such a young lad, even though he's 'mature'.
Baz, I still think most Championship teams wouldn't turn a nose up at that MF, maybe not for this game though, save it for the Premier
It's looking very much like the 606 ers of Derby have chosen Thorne,Bryson and Hendrick to start and Hughsey to finish em off!!! 6 days!!!!
Now for the voice of reason
Bryson has been the consistent force bringing so much of our attacking flare together. Thorne has proved to have the highest pass completion ratio of the first team. So it's down to Hughes and Hendrick for me.
Hughes has had a tendency to be Mr inconsistent over the year and does struggle with the more physical of opposition where Hendrick relishes that, so for Hendo gets the nod.
Hughes will get his chance sure.
Thorne, Bryson & Hendrick have got to start for me. Hughes will have a big part to play in he latter part of the game.
Isolate Austin & blunt Barton's presence & Derby have a good chance.......
I think Harry will set his team up to stifle Derby and it will take special skill not endurance to break them down so Hughes,Hendricks and Georgie boy for me.
Thorne is a dead cert, he's been majestic since taking his chance!
I have to say, I was out of Hendrick and Hughes to play alongside Bryso, but not now. He, too, has been superb since taking his chance and is bang in form scoring goals also...and literally covers every blade of grass. His strength is key too!
So, there's 2. Now for the final place
If I was Steve, I'd be sleeping on this Friday night and wouldn't make my decision until he gets his gut feeling Saturday morning. That is however unless he does his team selection the night before, I don't know. I really could start either it is that close but at a push my gut feeling is saying Bryso!!
Our player of the year, our 16 goal man, our driving force and main man in the middle of the park. He's one of if not the biggest reasons we are involved in this occasion. Big pitch, we need his mileage and goal threat bursting past defenders into the box. After all of that, he MUST be 100% fit. And he has to be totally honest with himself and the team because ultimately it will come down to his opinion. We can't afford any passengers on the biggest stage of all.
Hughesy....massive arm round the shoulder and a word in your ear saying 'make yourself the hero coming off the bench' ! Whether we need a goal, or not, he's going to be key when he comes on either to keep the ball for us or win us the game!
Either way and whatever Mac decides, we will be strong as ever in there
