Simeone is way too stressed, I've never seen him sit in the dugout in my life. He's animated, always dishing out instructions to his player.

Guardiola is exactly the same.

Busby, that Atletico side out there only cost 41m euro's though. That is amazing, they wrapped up the league and got to the CL final whilst the guy was only in the job for 2 and a half years. That Atleti side is so efficient and it's down to him. Real have spent £1b to win the CL since 12 years ago!

He was one minute from a glorious double. Trust me a smile would set off most people let alone someone like him who wears his heart on his sleeve.

His track record is undeniable. He will win everywhere he goes and coming from united fans who have had the bitterest of managers in Fergie, its a bit too rich.

These managers are always underrated and never considered to be the 'best' simply because they aren't at the biggest clubs.

He has done amazingly well but they have very good players that harry, press, chase and run all day and are very good technically. I can see them challenging again next season even if Costa and one of their FBs leave.

Petty site Klopp did similar.

He hasn't won everywhere he's been you know, other than titles with River Plate and Estudientes he's not done very well at all.

Don't get me wrong, he's done well to win the league and his side play with a spirit not many managers can boast about, but I'm not sure his style will work at a big club.

Klopp is a great manager, I'm not discrediting him. But so is Simeone, he's going to have a top career in management. 4 trophies in 2.5 years is no mean feat, especially with a club like Atleti and their financial restrictions.

I agree, but whether his style works at a club like Madrid, Utd, Barca ect remains to be seen. It's a lot easier being the underdog.

Not exactly a great achievement real winning it for the first time in around 12 yrs. I would expect us to be there or thereabouts if we had a near 200m forward line. They are the most expensive team and squad ever assembled. The 14 players they used last night cost over 300m

Never know, if he's offered a bigger budget at a different club he might alter his philosophy.

Don't see why it wouldn't work at a bigger club.
He has players wanting to run through brick walls for him. It depends on the club and how much importance they place on a more adventurous, open attacking style as a prerequisite.
I think 5 or 6 of that team at least would get in the United side right now !

It could have cost £1b and they could still have lost. At the end of the day it's 11 vs 11 and the winner deserves it.

Yes it is 11 vs 11 but it's a lot easier when you have a bottomless pit. Look where city were before they had money. Likewise PSG and Monaco

Would love Koke and Felipe Luis from that Atleti side.

Using money to measure success/failure by the pound is to simple a way to look at things.

Why aren't City winning CL titles? They gave the highest wage bill in sport...

If he had any class he would have stood there and laughed like Moyes did after every defeat.
