Choke and win nothing?

Isn't that standard for England at major tournaments?

wellbeck could be our saurez
If it was on Europe, i would agree with him. Not in South America though. We need to take te bits we can but adapt them.
I think everybody agrees with Scholesy
or mr rooney could stup up to the plate
putting all club biast aside id rather we go out all guns blazing than the usual disjointed crap surrender of recent times

Very true, Rooney is a good player but he isn't Suarez and isn't capable of working/playing to his standard that is key to Liverpool's success.
Saying that though I'm all for putting in as many Liverpool players into the front England 6. I think as many club partnerships combinations as possible but I can't think of any other than the Liverpool front 4.
We need to be like City not Liverpool. That much is obvious.
How many England players were in the city team though?
We don't have Yaya or Kompany. We have Henderson, Wilshire and Jagelka.
Not resy to replicate where as we have numerous Liverpool players in the squad.

That would be useful if City actually started many English players, we can't field Kompany, Toure and Aguero.
Playing the Liverpool tempo in South America would be suicide for me. The players, yes. Need to adapt the tactics though.
we dont have 5/6 man city players in the squad who are use to playing the same system
if it was some random team like fulham ( no offence) who had smashed in a shed load of goals, played entertaining footy and just fell short of winnig the league and the above named players where theres, there would be no arguments. imho
why not use that and have a right good go maybe shock a few and get to the quarters

I'm not entirely sure where our games are being held other than the Amazon for the Italy game but not all locations will be blistering hot with high humidity. It can work in the right conditions, I'm just not sure if we are playing in any of them like Argentina are.
Well Liverpool's style took them to second place. If England can achieve that it will be quite a surprise.
Barry would be a better option than Carrick.
with the 'partnerships' thing we could have played Chelsea's backline of Terry-Cahill-Cole and thrown as many Liverpool players in front of that

It can, if it were in Europe I'd be tempted to use it. I just don't think at international level, playing with that high a tempo is a good idea. It relies on the understanding that comes from playing week in week out like Liverpool do (which is why they have kicked on so much this year).
I would play as many Liverpool players as possible, just tone their style down a bit.
England players never see the better option.
They all want to be the hero and forget what football is all about

Totally agree, I can't see us replicating Liverpool's play but just having the same players from the same team will help IMO. Just a shame there aren't any other club English partnerships we can use. I can think of Terry and Cahill but that one ain't happening.

If the England players all wanted to be the hero then surely they'd actually try things that would make them a hero?
I think the reality is closer to being paralysed by fear of messing up and the inevitable media castigation.
The media won't castigate Scouse players
Henderson is Liverpools engine. He runs like Forest. I can't see him doing that in the Brazilian heat
