Fabregas Odds

Would take the reported odds with a pinch of salt, as Skybet have suspended betting previously on transfers which have never happened (or were even close to happening).

I think the odds shifting were a lot to do with that punter putting 50k on Fabregas to join Chelsea.

Having said that odds of 1/2 means that someone knows something.

Looking at all the info I can get my hands on I'd say that Cesc to Chelsea looks very likely at this stage.

Agree with Stuart as sometimes as I'm a betting man myself however there is no smoke without fire and there must be something more to this particular transfer.

I can't motivate myself to get excited at this moment in time.

Which is bad cos when I was 18 and 19 i'd get reasonably excited when we got linked with a big star on 'Team Talk Headlines' on Teletext

Skybets the biggest rigged betting site around

Sky release a story saying Fabregas might join Chelsea loads of people bet on it with Skybet and his odds go well down

Agree. Just seems a strange one as there is certainly no love loss between Cesc and Mourinho.

IMO there should be more severe regulation as there is most certainly a conflict of interest between SkySports and Skybet.

I meant to say as sometimes bookies odds are just plain false.

skybet had united 1/6 to sign Kroos

posted on 3/6/14

Earl, I myself thought Kroos was a cert to go to United regardless of bookies odds. Difference is though Fabregas is definitely leaving Barca where as Kroos openly said he wants to stay at Bayern... Fabregas' odds have dropped further now 2/5.

Skybet suspended betting last season on Higuaín joining Arsenal. Whether Cesc joins Chelsea are not remains to be seen but wouldn't read too much into Skybet's pricing.

It's not just the betting odds it's the sudden Reports from both England and Spain regarding Cesc that have for me believing.

Best ever was when I looked on Teletext and we'd signed Gullit

I remember seeing that we'd sacked Vialli on Teletext.

The story didn't originally come from Sky though. It came from multiple sources.

Even the Telegraph are reporting it:

Yeah but percentage wise papers get these stories right maybe 25% of the time. Higuain was reported to be an Arsenal player by most papers. Willian was a Liverpool player. Hazard was all but wrapped up a Utd player. You get my drift.

Why have odds then? Cesc is on his way to The Bridge. You know it.

seriously, if we dont go in for him, I hope you lot sign him...purely to see the meltdown on the arsenal board.
You would swear that he never walked out on them and that he was still their player

Skybet just want to make money, although I honk Fabregas will join Chelsea.

Skybet changing their odds is no different to the Sum reporting something though
