Hulk da Souza--------Christian Atsu
---------------Di Natale---------------
Karius, Hutton, Delph, Kagawa, Weimann, Villa, Keita
Brum at home, we will go for it, no point holding back, Bender is out so will have a slow midfield and one we can have a go at
In goal Casillas a good Goalkeeper, a fantastic shot stopper and a keeper that instills confidence in the back four. leads by example from the back, shouting instructions to his defenders. Out quickly to shut down strikers and close there shooting angles down. Punches clear what he cant catch from high balls and likes to release early to set up quick counters. He is a bit mad but sopmetimes a good thing for a GK.
Vlaar and Van Dijk are a solid pairing at CB, on this occassion Van Dijk will man mark the CF, quick and skillfull for a CB, with great marking abilities, will keep the CF away from goal and be on to him quickly as he comes forward so he can intercept any though he has of going for goal. When in possession he will carry the ball out and start attacks from the back. Vlaar alongside will mark any big men that come up for corners etc and make sure he is strong enough to get the ball away from danger, will help out Van Dijk if needed.
Richards and Juan Jesus at fullback, when we attack Richards goes meaning Jesus will sit in creating 3 at the back. When Richards attacks I want him bombing down the wing over lapping Hulk to allow him to cut inside and support Di Natale, quick passing between the two to get them passed the opposition fullback, which will see Richards drive towards the bye line to get a quick cross in. If its not a cross then look for Hulk inside to play a quick pass back to them so they can drive into the box. Defending both will have to be vigilant and always mindful of the tricks the opposite winger can do. Be onto them quickly not allowing them the time to get going, push them out wide and stop them becoming a threat.
Gareth barry comes in as my DM, I want him to focus on the defensivwe side today allowing others to attack, his job simply is to sit in front of the two CBs taking care of there AM and to not allow him the time or space to become a danger. Loook to close him down early even when we are in possession keep a watchful eye over him.
Ramires and Sneijder ahead, Ramires is box to box and will be up and down the pitch supporting both defence and aatack, will mark the 2nd most advance midfielder they have and keep him quiet, but in attack with Barry sitting in and Sneijder just behind I want him to drive into space to suppprt di Natale and look to get into dangerous positions in a kinda 2 up top. Sneijder and Barry can both control the game, Sneijder from a slightly more advance position. look to pick up the ball and spray it about looking to thread the ball into gaps fro the front 4 and Richards to chase onto, always makes himself available for a quick one two with the wingers to get them into the box or beyond the fullback. Sit in a 3 when defending
Hulk and Atsu are both quick and powerful players, I want them to take on the defence today, wether they knock it passed them (fullbacks) and drive on or simple a quick turn, and there away driving into the box. Hulk will have Richards supporting him so this allows him to pass and cut inside where he is very useful. Give and go, wait for the return and go for goal, or look to drive into the box in support of Di Natale. Atsu is skillful and will take his man on looking to beat him time after time, looks for the pass inside so he can make the move to get him passed his marker. Both very dangerous, we will be a danger out wide. When defending look to get back and stop there defenders becoming a threat.
Di Natale is a natural goalscorer, two good feet, good in the air, will look to get into positions that he will become dangerous a real poacher, who will thrive on the chances been given. Always on the shoulder of the last defender ready to pounce. A great eye for goal and given the chance hopefully he will stick it in the back of the net.

In goal Neuer, for me the best Goalkeeper there is, a fantastic shot stopper and a keeper that instills confidence in the back four, leads by example from the back, shouting instructions to hos defenders. Out quickly to shut down strikers and close there shooting angles down. Punches clear what he cant catch from high balls and likes to release early to set up quick counters.
Zouma and Bonucci are a solid pairing at CB, on this occassion Bonucci will man mark the CF, quick and skillfull for a CB, with great marking abilities, will keep the CF away from goal and be on to him quickly as he comes forward so he can intercept any though he has of going for goal. When in possession he will carry the ball out and start attacks from the back. Zouma alongside will mark any big men that come up for corners etc and make sure he is strong enough to get the ball away from danger, will help out Varane if needed.
Ricardo and Sciglio at fullback, when we attack one goes at a time, the other sits back. When they attack I want them bombing down the wing over lapping the winger to allow them to cut inside, quick passing between the two to get them passed the opposition fullback, which will see the fullback drive towards the bye line to get a quick cross in. If its not a cross then look for the winger inside to play a quick pass back to them so they can drive into the box. Defending both will have to be vigilant and always mindful of the tricks the opposite winger can do. Be onto them quickly not allowing them the time to get going, push them out wide and stop them becoming a threat.
Pirlo is my playmaker, he controls the game with his, at time simplistict passing, not the quickest player Pirlo leaves that sort of exertion to his youthful midfield partners Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba. Instead, patrolling an area not much more extensive than the centre circle, he sits in front of his back four, firing out quarterback-type passes, occasionally ambling forward to take a free-kick. Although not lightning quick he is very difficult to get the ball from. At times he just takes a touch and makes the opposition look very silly. This gives him the time to ping the passes about with time and ease. His style will frustrate the opposition they will begin to fly in with rash tackles which he will merely walk away from, with ball at feet. Defending he will be aided by Pogba and Vidal who will do the marking job on the two most advanced midfielders. Both extremely hard working lads who will get up and down the pitch helping both defence and attack. They sit as a three with Pogba picking up the AM, Vidal taking care of business on the other player. They will break up play and get it moving forward, most likely Vidal to burst forward to assist Benzema. His goal record for a CM is fantastic and can score from varous angles/ranges, he is a very dynamic player with great stamina, one who never gives up. He thrives with Pirlo/Pogba in the midfield trio and they will be no pushovers for anyone this season. Pogba is sort of mix of the two, can pass the ball about, defend the lines and also break forward. A very cool head for such a young lad. Look to pcik up from Pirlo and drive forward looking for more advanced passing to those in front of him or push forward with the ball with Vidal sitting jsut a bit behind.
Sanchez and Neymar are class. Both lightning quick with nimble feet which more often than not takes them passed the fullback, wether they knock it passed them and drive on or simple a quick turn, and there away. Will have fullbacks supporting them so this allows them to pass and cut inside where both are very useful. Give and go, wait for the return and go for goal, or look to drive into the box in support of Benzema. Neymar focusses more on the ttricks and twists to see him passed, whereas Sanchez likes to make the pass that gives him time to look for space for him to drive into and wait for the return. Both very dangerous and with support from there respective fullbacks we will be a danger out wide. When defending look to get back and stop there defenders becoming a threat.
Benzema is the prefect striker, two good feet, good in the air, will look to get into positions that he will become dangerous, in fact my front three are a danger and there movement will be a serious concern for the other team. Pace and movement from them, can all play CF or drift wide so when the winger comes in Benzema will be looking to drag the CB away freeing up room for the other two to drive into. With Vidal also supporting we are a huge goal threat to anyone. Benzema for high balls needs to leap early to get above the CB, and with his back to goal look to set up others who are driving in.

Not a great start to the season, and we cannot afford any more slip ups. We feel WBA are there for the taking therefore we will be positive in our play. We line in a familiar 4-2-3-1, giving Silva his first start of the season. He will be eager to prove that he has a place in the team.
In today's game, we look to add more width and pace to our team. When needed we will sit in an absorb pressure pouncing on any opportunity to counter attack with or deadly trio up front.(madrid style) We also look to use the full length of the pitch therefore Reus and Ronaldo will play as wingers and will also be provided support from the full backs. When defending we will be disciplined, at times having everybody behind the ball and then wait for the opportunity to use our pace and power on a counter attack. We will not be afraid to play it out from the back, everybody is comfortable on the ball.
Generally we want to take the game to the opposition and look for that early goal, putting the opposition under pressure.
Hart will be quick off his line for one on ones and crosses into the box. I want him to be vocal in his box maintaining communication with his centre halves. Comfortable with the ball at his feet he will play it both short to my centre backs and long to my attackers who look to break at speed.
Lahm and Gibbs two natural full backs. I want them upon and down the pitch providing options for our attack. Also I want them to defend responsibly and not risk being caught out. They mark man for man and force the opposition inwards into a packed midfield.
Kompany and Laporte, A good mix of power, pace, aerial ability and composure on the ball, allows us to be commanding at the back and limit the amount of opportunities for the opposition. Both will control the back four and make sure everybody is doing their job correctly by using their excellent leadership skills. Kompany and Laporte will stay close to each other not allowing the opposition to open up space. Laporte looks to defend the first ball coming towards our defence, using his reading of the game to get there before the striker and clear, he'll use his great tackling to shut him down around the area and then look to get the ball back Kompany stays in position when Laporte does this covering the remaining space, he will be able to clear the second ball if it gets beyond Laporte.
Busquets and Herrera will be our two deepest central midfielders. As usual Busquets holds while Herrera plays box to box. Herrera uses his amazing energy to track down opposition in pressing while also making late runs intothe box. Busquets helps us tick over.
Silva - Sits in a free role between midfield and striker. Using his dribbling and vision will pick up possession and drive forward to play incisive passes. Will consistently pass and move to be in strong positions to effectively receive and distribute the ball, once he has done so he will use his strong dribbling abilities to hold possession and enable team mates to forge attacking runs beyond him then getting his head up to read these runs push forwards and play the decisive pass into attacking positions.
Ronaldo + Reus: Both quick, direct, tricky and strong, they'll pull the opposition defence all over the place. They are both creative playmakers as well as wingers and will look to play balls in to Aguero's feet for the one-two, but they're also quick and have great energy so can get round the back of the WBA defence and drill in low balls and cutbacks, or they can drive at the defence and cause them problems. They'll be allowed to switch at will.
Up front is Aguero, he should always look to make runs in behind and hold his own when possible holding the ball up and getting others involved whilst occasionally coming deeper to dictate the player whilst they go on beyond.

Subs: Baumann, Yedlin, Naughton, Ince, Cerci, Nolan, Rondon,
Tactics: Fast counter attack and hard pressing in our area. We are to crowd out and pressurise the central midfield of Chelsea's and will even have CB's to come forward and block the midfield. We want to crowd out the midfield of Chelsea and give them absolutely no space whatsoever. The pace of passing we will do will be quick and nothing will be slow. We shall play it short and simple until it gets to our wingers who willl have bags of space to play with so we go at them hard and with pace. It is essential that we play with a high tempo as anything slower will play at Chelsea's hands. We are not trying to invite pressure but we are inviting them to commit players and them we crowd them out and chase them in packs before we get the ball and use it quick and effectively. We are here to win and show everyone that we can do it again.
Defence
Diego Alves to be aware of the threat of attackers and he has to be focussed and away of his bearings. He has to be aggressive on set-pieces and have the fullbacks on the line for corners.
We may look we have three CBs but Rio will play as a sweeper and essential another DM which he will be helping Fellaini and Illa facing the threat of the midfield and getting into the faces of the Chelsea lot. We know they will not like us getting in their faces and therefore we will dojust that. We will be aggressive and organised and the full-backs will be supported so they are not isolated. Our defence will win all the goal kicks and corners.
Midfield
Fellaini and Illa will be up for this and show the likes of Vidal and co that they will not have their own way but dictating play. Our central midfielders will be snapping at their heels and not giving them any respect of their ability as we want to get that ball and distribute it fast and very simple. Quick interchanging passes and making them run after the ball. Lallana and Salah will be playing just in our area and very wide so when we attack, we attack their full-backs and their both have to be direct and run at them. Defensively they will press and help Fellaini and Co with the harrassment and we have strength in numbers.
Forwards
Negredo may look like a lonely figure up top but he will be busy by making and creating space and staying on the last defender. He is lethal 1v1 and know he is reliable to get the goals for us he will be supported by Lallana and Salah.
Subs: Cerci on for Lallana 75mins
Manchester United vs Southampton, Old Trafford
Following a couple weeks of poor results in the league, at home today we go with an attacking side, that is going all out for the win. Attacking 4-3-3.
We play with width and a high tempo. Stretching the game over our home turf. Create space for our central trio to dictate the tempo of the game and dominate possession.

We will look to defend high up the pitch, playing a high pressing game. This coupled with a midfield trio that will dominate possession, will make it extremley difficult for Soton to get at us.
With a high line, we feel we can isolate their striker, making it difficult for their attacking midfielders and striker to link.
The formation is rigid in defence, fluid in attack. The fbs overlap, providing width on each wing. This will allow our wide players to come inside if they wish.
The wgs are free to switch sides as they wish. In the final third we have players that can create something from nothing, for this reason we give them creative freedom.
Generally though we will be patient in possession. The defence will always look to take the pass short from the keeper, and build attacks from the back.
Defence.
Control the space. When they do have possession, ensure it’s in areas that can’t hurt us. When they do get into our half, then we get numbers back and behind the ball.
The first point of defence should be in in the opposition half, as we look to play a high pressing game. We allow the opposition CBs and GK time on the ball in the final third. But close down midfielders coming deep in this area, pushing our team forward and playing a slightly higher line. Limit their options.
Force them to go long or take risks. We want to catch them out, winning possession in areas we can hurt them.
As soon as they move the ball out of the first third, to the middle section of the park we want to press.
Keeping the 4-3-3 shape at this point, Balotelli and the closest winger will look to close down the opposition depending where the opposition are. The winger on the opposite flank comes in narrow, ensuring there is no space in the centre.
Although we press high up the park, the defence will ensure that as Soton advance further up the park, the line drops deep so there is no space in behind. As Soton advance into higher areas of the park and into our half, our shape will resemble a 4-1-4-1, with the two wingers dropping deep, ensuring our fbs have cover in front of them.
Khedira drops in between defence and midfield, sweeping in between the lines. His energy and reading will be best utilised in this position. Cesc and Rakitic in cm. This shape ensures that when one of our midfielders do press we will still always have 4 midfielders behind, to cover, particularly in the important central areas.
We always want at least one more defender than Soton has attacker. So generally we expect two cbs, with Khedira just in front. If they have two left up top, then one fb stays. This ensures we have plenty of cover.
Our fb’s up against their quick wide forwards are to drop off more so they can bide their time, waiting for the right time to make the tackle and not diving in.
Show him down the line to block the cross. If he does manage to get past you, there’s a chance to stop the cross.
Attack
Passing simple in our own third. Playing short and on the deck where possible. If we go long, look to find our wingers, using their pace to get in behind.
We always want at least two of the front three staying up top, looking for gaps, and space in between and behind the opposition defenders. One can come deep to get involved in the build up play. One of Rakitic/Cesc looks to get into an advanced central role looking to get in between the Soton defence and midfield, from where they can play the killer ball.
With the pace of the attacking trio, and the creativity of Cesc and Rakitic in the middle, the opposition will constantly be on the back foot. This will allow us to push high up the pitch and throw players forward.

Tactics
Nothing overly cultured about how we are going to play, a defensive 4-5-1, set to frustrate the arsenal team and break quickly on the counter using the pace from out wide and taking advantage of any set pieces we get in attacking areas.
Keeper
When distributing the ball, he should look to keep it simple and play the percentage pass. At crosses and set pieces, should look to punch rather than catch.
Full Backs
Their primary job will be to defend today, so they should look to stay tightly to their centre back, not let any balls be played between them, only going wide when a cross is looking to be put in. When on the ball, lump the ball upfront to Valencia, unless a quick pass can be made to their winger.
Centre Backs
Alex will compete for any aerial balls, with Mustafi looking to collect the 2nd ball, when the ball is being played on the floor, the onus is on keeping their shape with the full backs watching out for the quick one touch football and blocking the ball with every legal part of their body. When on the ball, if the opposition are giving you space to come out with the ball, go and take that chance, if not, just look to play it simple to a man in space and keep possesion.
Defensive Midfielder
Garcia will be on Silva all game, keeping tight enough to him he could find out if he was Jewish, making sure he cant turn on the ball and tracking every little move he makes. When he is on the ball, look for a pass out wide.
Central Midfielders
When on the ball, they should be looking to get the ball out wide to launch the quick counters, or play it into the feet of Valencia. When defending, they will stay in the centre of the pitch, sitting in front of the centre backs, not allowing themselves to get dragged out of that area, lucking to cut the space in the final third and really frustrate the Arsenal attack.
Wingers
From an attacking standpoint their job is to simply get up and down the pitch working with Valencia to launch the counter attacks, this means using their pace to either run infield and create chances for themselves, or sticking out wide and getting a cross in for the big man. When defending, they will play just infront and wider of the full backs, essentially playing a back 6 with the aim of keeping their full backs playing infront of them and not giving them many chances to get crosses in.
Striker
Stay upfront all game, there will be periods of time when he will be isolated but should always be on his toes always around the last defender back or the halfway line, preparing for a counter attack, if he gets the ball, is job will be to hold it up and rely on our wingers outpacing the opposition players that are tracking them back and laying it off to one of them, then he should be heading into the box with the dual intention of preparing for a cross if our wingers are staying wide, or making a run to take one of their players with him.
Set Pieces
Corners - Sahin takes the corners, the 2 CB's go into the box, Garcia and the full backs stay back to prevent counters, the CB's and Valencia work in a group to make little blacks and cross-runs to lose a marker so one can attack the ball, Dyer looks to block the keepers movement around the 6 yard box, Herrera and Gaitan take positions just outside the box to pick up any weak defensive headers or knockdowns.
Free Kicks - For direct FK's Gaitan will shoot. For Indirect FKs, follow the same directives for Corners
Penalties - Sahin is the designated taker.
Subs
If Winning
70 mins - Medel For Herrera - Even more defensive frustrations for them, slots in between the CBs
80 mins - Giroud and Chadli for Gaitan and Valencia - Fresh legs and renewed pace for counter attacks against tired defenders aswell as the element of time wasting.
If Losing
75 mins - Giroud, Chadli and Naismith for Sahin, Dyer and Gaitan - A narrow 4-2-2-2 with balls being lumped up to the big 2 upfront.

Tactical Overview
The aim of the 4-2-3-1 today is for the full backs to defend first, the 2 CMs to sit infront of the back 4 and get the ball out quickly for quick transitions to attack, and the front 4 to drift around and draw their markers out of poisition so 1 of the others can exploit that space.
Keeper
When distributing the ball, he should look to keep it simple and play the percentage pass. At crosses and set pieces, should look to punch rather than flap at pressurised catches.
Full Backs
Defensively the objective is to sit back and tuck in slightly, Limiting space for balls to be played between them, but then to push the opposition winger out as wide as possible to limit their opportunity to get a good cross in.
When on the ball they should look to play it upfield to whichever player in occupying their side of the pitch.
Centre Backs
Rojo will compete with the striker for the aerial balls played up to him, with Subotic looking to win the 2nd ball. When the ball is on the floor, Rojo will be the defender who looks to meet the striker looking to stifle his space and rush his decisions, with Subotic making the covering run. When on the ball, if the opposition are giving them space to come out with the ball, then they should look to take it forward, if not, keep it simple and play it to a man in space and retain possession.
Centre Mids
Pjanic will look to create himself little pockets of space so he can get on the ball and keep the game ticking over whilst not afraid to get forward as an extra attacking option, but with the knowledge tat he has to get back quickly to aid the defensive display, Strootman will be playing more of a holding role today, sitting back to limit the space on advancing playmakers, but then when he gets on the ball, should be looking to release it quickly to one of he front 4.
Wingers
When they are off the ball, the emphasis for both wingers will be to drift around combining with the other attackers to get little areas of space to take advantage of the quick transitions from defence to attack. then when they are on the ball the emphasis will be more on cutting inside with the occasional long shot to test the keeper, and only occasionally putting in crosses, getting involved in a fast intricate style of passing with Mata and Suarez, as defenders will be extra cautious to not make a rash tackle and give away a free kick or penalty. When the opposite winger has the ball, the winger without the ball should look to find space between the CB and full back to add an extra body for any crosses or capitalise on any defensive errors.
When defending, they should be blocking the passing lines to the full backs as well as tracking their movement when they go forward.
Attacking Midfielder
Mata should be looking to make himself available for a pass as much as possible, when we have the ball in the middle of the pitch, he shouldn't be afraid to come a bit deeper to get the ball and take on players himself or look to make an attacking pass. he should also look to be making late runs into the box as an attacking option when we have the ball out wide. when defending, he should be looking to occupy the defensive pivot, stop him being an out ball for the opposition.
Striker
When attacking, he will look to play a high energy game by being a willing runner down the channels and constantly drift around the defenders looking to get himself a bit of space enough for him to face the defenders and take them on. He should also use his knack of anticipating what the defenders are going to try and get the ball to fend them off and gain the crucial advantage to create a chance for himself or others. When defending, he will be the first line of defence, using his high energy game to pressurise the defenders into making quick decisions.
Set Pieces
Corners - Mata takes the corners, the 2 CB's go into the box, the FB's stay back to prevent counters, the CB's, Suarez and Muniain work in a group to make little blocks and cross-runs to lose a marker so one can attack the ball, Iturbe looks to annoy the opposition keeper looking to limit his ability to move around the 6 yard box. Strootman and Pjanic take positions just outside the box to pick up any weak defensive headers or knockdowns.
Free Kicks - Suarez takes Direct FK's, with Mata occasionally taking them as the 2nd option.
For Indirect FK's, follow the same directives for Corners
Penalties - Suarez is the designated taker.
Subs
If Winning
72 mins - Henderson for Mata - The wingers tuck back, but with the knowledge to get out quickly for the front 3 to try and counter if the opposition over-commit for a route back into the game.
Henderson slots in.
85 + 87 Mins - Callejon for Iturbe and De Jong for Mata - Fresh legs with the added element of running down the clock.
If Losing
71 Mins - Ginter + Higuain for Uchida + Davies - switch to a 3-5-2 with emphasis on the wings backs acting as wingers and we go all out attacking for a way to get back into the game.
83 Mins - Callejon for Iturbe - a more direct option.
If Drawing

GAME PLAN
I want my team to play counter attacking football. We have the players to play that way and we have the potential danger of harming our opposition. We want to play a pressing game where we shall play one DM and one box to box midfielder. Schwein will be the box to box midfielder but he shall be playing as a DM when we are off the ball. The two holding midfielders will both press at different times but would prefer Schwein to press most of all. Our full backs and wingers shall press as well. Our team will be aiming to obtain the ball as soon as possible and then punish the opposition with swift attacks. We want to play a deep defensive line and keep things tight on the pitch. Therefore we shall aim to keep our defence behind the centre circle off the ball bar our full backs who will be invited to move forward. We want to reduce the amount of freedom the opposition has on the ball. Our players will keep close to the opposition’s men and push them back. We want to force errors out of them and push off the ball. Our two centre backs will stick together, whether that is when we are off the ball or when we are up for set pieces. The full backs shall cover the goal area during these set pieces. Our full backs shall be keeping our defensive line tight when we are off the ball, sticking in a line with our centre backs. However on the ball I want them moving forward and helping form the attacks. Our two defensive midfielders will be looking to slow down play, hold the ball and create opportunities by moving the ball forward as quick as possible. Defensively this will force the game to be tight and cancel out the opposition. On the ball it should free up space for our attackers and move forward as quickly as possible.
Our attacking play will be fast and neat. Our two holding midfielders will be breaking up play, holding on to the ball and then setting our wingers free. This means we want to play with plenty of pace. Out of our 2 wingers Lavezzi is our fastest and we are likely to get some space in this area. Our wingers and number 10 shall be integrating with each other’s play and therefore we will have plenty of options during our attacks. All of our attackers will be looking to work their way into space using physical and skilful football. Our full backs will also be there during attacks so our wingers can cut inside more as well.
POSITIONAL TACTICS
Piszczek should play as a wing back. I want him to move forward during our attacks. He should stay out wide to create a crossing option. I want him to create space for our wingers. While defending Piszczek should try and push the player back. If he can’t do that he should push him out wide to a position where he has to kick the ball off. Bernat should play the same way.
Cahill should use his height and strength to keep the striker(s) out of the game. I want him to keep with that attacker at all times or keep him offside. He should try and header every ball out of the box or kick it away preferably to the wingers. He should only go up for corners/free kicks. Moreno should play the same way as Cahill.
Inler will be the DM. He should look to disrupt their attacking play and reduce the space around their playmaker. He should hold his position and not get caught up field. I want him to control the style of the game we play. While acting as cover for our defence he should also separate the midfield from the defence by keeping hold of the ball and form attacks.
Schwein will be our box-box midfielder. I want him to identify spaces up the pitch. He should take hold of the ball and supply it to any of the front 3 ahead and try to exploit any space. When we’re attacking I want him to move up and stay in space. When off the ball he should be a ball winning player.
I want Willian to use his skill and pace and make runs into the box. He must use his pace to outrun the full back but also his quality control of the ball to dribble round him. When we’re off the ball I want him help Piszczek cover their full back. I would like Lavezzi to do the same.
Di Maria should use his pace and strength to make runs into the box and opening up space for Lacazette. He will look to supply the ball to the wingers as well. Try and force their defensive midfielder to move out of position and allow our wingers to use that space by running into the centre. Off the ball he should drop back and play deeper therefore he will be able to use more of his trickery to open up games during a counter attack.
I would like Di Maria, Willian and Lavezzi to intersect and change positions.
Lacazette must use his pace and skill to open up spaces for the wingers and central players to run into. I want him to stay inside the box so that he remains an option in the middle. However he should drop deeper to bring the defenders forward and open up space behind them. He should look to overpower their defenders with his pace and strength and height. He should constantly look to move into space to create himself as an option for the defence. When we’re defending he should mark the player at the edge of the box.

Tough game against Liverpool today, we know what they will bring to the table but they wont know what we have planned, their fullbacks are weakened today with Azpilicueta injured so a lot of our success today depends on how well Bernard and Mirallas expolit this. Play a fast paced game, they will be expecting us to contain and counter attack, but we will be going right at them with our front four, and with Clasie providing passes we should cause them problems. Play a semi-high line, while paying attention to Griezmann. The high line will minimise the impact of Cavani and Rooney, but could give Griezmann opportunities. Manquillo will have to be very alert to track any runs made by Griezmann. Enjoy yourselves, the longer the game goes with Liverpool not winning, the crowd will become restless and put them under even more pressure. Play to win.
Schmeichel - Distribute from the back to the fullbacks/CM's, stay in communication with your defence throughout, be wary of long range efforts and ensure you stay big for any one on ones. On occasion go long for Llorente.
Obgonna/Skrtel - Skrtel to mark Cavani, force him high up the pitch thus limiting his impact close to goal, and Ogbonna to be the spare man, be first to the second ball and prevent Rooney making runs from midfield. When in possession bring the ball out of defence and use the midfielders ahead of you to help us play out from the back. Both of you go forward for setpieces.
Manquillo/Criscito - Manquillo probably up against Griezmann, utilise your pace to prevent him from having fun today, force him wide and then ensure he cannot simply run past you. Criscito to force whoever plays RW out wide, do not allow him to come inside as this will cause more problems for our midfield. They will want to cut inside so force them outside and block their crosses at source. They will try to create problems infield so its vital you only show them down the wing. When we have possession, push forward and support Bernard/Mirallas as they will try to run inside the fullback and you will provide the overlap to either create space or supply crosses into the area for Llorente and link with Thauvin. You will need to track back very quickly to ensure we don't get caught on the break.
Carvalho/Clasie - Carvalho the enforcer in midfield, assist Ogbonna in dealing with Rooney who will drift from CF to AM all day, when he is near you make life uncomfortable for him, Rooney has a short fuse so try and provoke him with a series of blocks, digs and whatever it takes to annoy him. Be first to any loose balls and in possession look for the attackers and pass rather than bring the ball out. Clasie is the passer, also able to assist at DM but with more creativity, link the play between defence and attack, and be prepared to help out the fullbacks in dealing with the Liverpool wingers, specifically Griezmann if he is able to cut inside as he can be dangerous. Remain composed throughout.
Thauvin - Playing the AM role, with the ball I want you to drift left and right, drag Matic and/or Matuidi out of position as they will be assigned to track your runs, swap with Mirallas and Bernard on occasion to create confusion and leave space for your teammates to run into. Link with Mirallas, Bernard, Llorente and Clasie, look for Llorente on the last defender for a through ball and also shoot if you get the opportunity. Get yourself between Matic/Matuidi and the ball, make them go through you and foul you to stop you, thus creating setpiece chances for us.
Mirallas/Bernard - Both playing out wide and both have the pace and trickery to beat the Liverpool fullbacks and get crosses in, but both of you will also have our fullback overlapping giving you the chance to cut inside and get shots in. Look to supply Llorente with chances and also provide yourselves with chances. Link up with Thauvin, and capitalise on the space Llorente's presence will create for you. Without the ball I expect you two to track back and assist your fullback.
Llorente - you will be expected to occupy the Liverpool centrebacks, hold up possession and look to turn the defender and shoot. If they double mark you, drop wide and swap with Mirallas to leave him unmarked and near the goal. Be strong in the air and look for your teammates trying to pick you out from deep. Shoot on sight. Stay on the last defender's shoulder for any passes in behind.
Subs 70 mins:
If winning: Thauvin and Llorente off, Song and Doumbia on. Song partners Carvalho and Clasie in midfield, more defensively minded and switch to 4-5-1 with Mirallas and Bernard playing deeper. Doumbia with the pace to hang on the last defender/halfway line to punish them on the break.
If drawing: Mirallas and Llorente off, Lennon and Doumbia on. Same system, big injection of pace against the tiring Liverpool fullbacks. Look to get the winner on the break as they push to get the winner against us.
If losing: Mirallas and Carvalho off, Lennon and Doumbia on. Switch from 4-2-3-1 to 4-1-3-2 with attacking fullbacks, Lennon to RW, Doumbia with Llorente upfront. Manquillo and Criscito will be overlapping so utilise them and their runs. Bombard Liverpool's defence and get crosses into the area. Push for goals.

Game plan:
This week, we are playing an attacking 4-1-4-1 formation with a view to blowing the opposition away with a high tempo, incisive forward line. In particular, we will be looking to set up in a similar style to the Man Utd side of recent that has destroyed teams in the first 20 minutes of the game. Therefore, we will be implementing a high octane pressing game in order to lessen the amount of time the opposition have on the ball and we will be looking to get the ball on the floor and utilise the pace in our line up to move the ball up the pitch quickly and with purpose.
Defence:
Our pressing game for this encounter is heavily influenced by the 6-second rule implemented by Guardiola's Barcelona during their most recent period of domination. The system is dissected in to 3 stages: Compressing, Compacting and Controlling.
In stage 1, we look to push our front players forward to close down the opposition player on the ball whilst the ranks behind also move forward to cover gaps behind them. This narrows down the options for the opposition playmaker - he has the choice to pass the ball backwards, thus ruining the chance to attack quickly, or he can chance it and run at our defence our attempt a long ball. This pressing game is particularly effective with this Southampton line up because of the pace and stamina on display.
If, after 6 seconds of high tempo pressing, we do not have the ball - we move to the second stage: Compacting. The Compacting stage is where we look to flood certain danger areas with bodies so that the opposition does not have a clear pass to cause us major trouble. These danger areas will usually be the flanks but will also, occasionally be the centre of the park. The front 3 of Huntelaar, Mertens and Farfan are still pressing the ball in this stage but the midfield trio of Tiote, Asamoah and Biglia have moved back to cover gaps in our formation - this could be slotting in to the defence or crowding out the opposition midfield/wings dependant on the opposition attack. The back 4 also drop in to deeper defensive positions and are on high alert for runs in behind the line.
If it is clear that the opposition are in a sustained period of possession, the team moves on the Stage 3: Controlling. This final stage is where we aim to form 3 solid lines that dissect the opposition formation and make it harder for them to pass the ball up the field. The demonstration shows the forward patrolling between the midfield and defence thus cutting off that outlet and forcing the opposition forward. It also displays the midfield looking to block off runs from theMU full backs and central midfielders whilst the defence looks to man mark and force MU's attack out of the game. The intention with this style is to dictate where and when MUs can play the ball and to nullify their attacking intentions.
Attack:
Our attack, as has been mentioned, has been influenced by MUs dynamic attacking displays of recent. We have 3 players behind the main centre forward who are quick and like to run at the defence and these 3 will be constantly switching positions with each other in order to fully test the opposition’s defensive capabilities. Our 2 central midfielders will look to push up the pitch, forcing the opposition midfield to cover their positions – thus creating space on the wings and in between their midfield and defence which our players can exploit. Our full backs will also look to push forward, sitting deep and hugging the line so that they can stretch MUs structure across the pitch and to provide an out ball so we can keep possession.
Individual game plan:
Ospina: It is important for him to remain vocal at all times and to marshal the team from his vantage point. Keep spirits high and keep motivating the team.
Baines & Lichtsteiner: Very good attacking full backs who have decent pace and great stamina which makes them perfect for this dual role. They will push forward whenever possible but make sure to keep an eye out for potential counter attacks. Only push forward if it's safe to do so. One player to look out for is Jovetic – do not give him time on the ball.
Fazio & Matip: Fazio will be looking to win any aerial duels due to his sheer size and strength. He will be expected to put his body on the line and block any shots on goal with his huge frame. Matip will drop behind Fazio, sweeping up any loose balls and being wary of runs in behind.
Biglia & Asamoah: Biglia will look to play the holding role, breaking up play through the middle, keeping the ball ticking over in possession and generally being an anchor in front of the defence. Asamoah will be moving around the pitch, pressing as much as possible, breaking up play on the flanks and pushing forward at all possibilities. Tiote will play B2B and help supprt defence and attack with constant movement and running
Mertens & Farfan: 2 pacey attackers who will be difficult to handle. They will be switching positions with each other all game and will be looking to run directly at the defence, looking for gaps. They will also be looking to defende from the front.
Huntelaar: He will do whatever he can to get the ball in to the net; trying to use strength to his advantage on the ground and in the air. He will be aiming to keep on the shoulder of the last man and shoot whenever the ball falls to him in the box. Close down the centre backs and keeper whenever they are in possession.
Substitutions:
If Winning:
70 minutes: Isla for Farfan: Isla drops deep to make a a RWB,
80 minutes: Stambouli for Tiote: Stambouli will be looking to operate just in front of the defence with Bigia and Asamoah, looking to hold that midfield area as much as possible.
85 minutes: Lovren for Asamoah: Lovren drops to the defence, 541
If Losing/Drawing:
70 minutes: Valbuena for Tiote: Valbuena will look to play just off the shoulder of Huntelaar and will be a bit more adventurous than Tiote
80 minutes: Cardozo for Huntelaar: Fresher legs and stronger in the air. If necessary, we will look to hit the ball high in to the box for him to knock it down.
85 minutes: Isla for Biglia: Isla and Asamoah push forward a lot more – providing two extra bodies to the attack.

Derby day and we look to stamp our authority on this game from the off, using our energy and pace to swarm all over them, penning them back in their half and creating the conditions for our offensive players to do their job. We will squeeze space and player in order to keep them pegged back and compact the pitch to stop quick counter attacks.
http://sharemytactics.com/26303/
The front four close down with intense pressure, stopping the opposition back line being able to play the ball out into midfield, force them back to the keeper and long or wide to the FBs. Rooney and Cavani close on the CBs whilst the two wide attacking midfielders squeeze inside and block the route to the midfield. FBs push up to force wingers back, if there are none one FB drops in line with CBs to cover extra CF. If they do get it forward quickly, Matic and Matuidi cover the wide areas.
http://sharemytactics.com/26304/
Defend the area of the pitch the ball has been played to by compacting the side. If we have forced them wide we move to defend this horizontal area of the pitch in numbers, the FB and wide attacker been the two to press the players, with the forwards and one CM coming across to squeeze the space and step in if the other two are beaten, give them no way of playing the ball centrally, if they push it forward we have the CBs and DM in position to step in and break up play. If they move it across we have the players on the opposite side in position to slow play down whilst we reorganise.
http://sharemytactics.com/26305/
If from stage one they get the ball central we set up with two banks of four and the two strikers dropping in to press the deeper midfielders, if the midfielders get beyond those two they will have Matic and Matuidi to get through. We squeeze the space in the midfield, keep the lines compact with the two wide attackers moving out to stop the FBs if they overlap and they contract if Swansea get numbers central. Keeping the lines tight allows us to squeeze the ball if they get it to the striker. If they are really pushing us back, fall to defend the 18 yard box, FBs tuck in alongside the CBs to give us to compact banks of four, only pushing wide if Everton do.
We want to be on the front foot, putting their defence under pressure from the off so we will go and attack with pace, power and imagination. We want lots of movement in the final third, pushing the FBs forward to stretch things, especially if its WBs we face, we will look to double up down the flanks and then allow the opposite winger to come infield, providing someone to occupy their spare CB. We want quick transitions from defence to attack, working the ball where we have numbers deeper and then spreading play wide where we can get more space, from these wide areas both FBs will be high up the field, ready to get to the byeline and cross or ready to make clever runs infield and into the channels, stretching the CBs and allowing our CFs to find space. We will have plenty of movement in the front four two, with the wide attacking midfielders free license to roam, getting into the positions where we are causing most danger and working them, either doubling up out wide or central movements in and around the strikers to allow us to link up quickly. The CFs will work off each other, when one drops deeper, the other pulls off looking to open up space, with an AM/FB then looking to run into the channel, giving us the possibility of the deeper striker flicking the ball through for the runners with the other CF waiting for the final ball. We will likely see more possession so we must use it well, at pace always with lots of movement, letting players run at the opposition in order to open up more space, the CMs also allowed to do this to drive us forward. We always have a counter attacking threat, so if we win the ball deeper we look to either get it into the forwards who can then push the ball wide and allow us to break, or we immediately play it wide if there is space.
Individual:
Courtois commands his area, collecting crosses and distributing quickly.
FBs get forward when we attack, providing underlaps and overlaps. When defending they stand up to the wingers never diving in, defending with energy higher up the field, but staying close to the CBs in our final third, only pushing out to stop crosses.
Terry and Howedes there to battle the striker(s), give them a physical challenge, standing up to them and forcing them back, deal with every long ball. Don’t allow them to have time and space to control the ball and link up.
Matic and Matuidi provide us with a platform to control the game, winning the midfield battle, keeping the ball moving at speed, looking for the gaps in their defence. Step in a break up play when needed, provide energy.
Griezzman and Lamela give us to direct, creative players. Both want to run at the opposition and open up space which we will allow, Lamela using his creativity to find his team mates, whilst Griezzman looks to get into goalscoring positions, can cut inside and go at the CBs.
Rooney and Cavani need lots of movement, especially if its a back 3, we want them moving off each other to drag players about, as well as running the channels, Cavani getting down the sides of the defenders where is lethal and Rooney looking to drop back at times and be the one to find the final ball.
Subs:
If Winning: Nainngolan for Lamela 65’, more solid option and will help us keep the ball. Garcia and Nkoulou for Rooney and Corchia 75’, Garcia into midfield to help us win the battle and outnumber them, keep the ball moving, don’t let them get on the front foot. Howedes across to RB.
If Drawing: Nainngolan for Matuidi 70’, comes on to add extra creativity. Bakkali and Garcia for Lamela and Rooney 75’, Bakkali run at them non stop, Garcia support Cavani, make a nuisance in the box, win all the long balls, don’t be afraid now launch it into the area if thats effective.
If Losing: 3-5-2 with Moreno and Crochia replaced by Nkoulou and Nainngolan 60’, Nainngolan extra source of creativity. Garcia for Matuidi 75’, moves to AM, gets amongst the back 4.
Red Cards:
For Us:
GK - Ryan replaces Lamela, Rooney LM, Griezzman RM 4-4-1
RB - Nkoulou replaces Lamela, Howedes RB, Rooney RM 4-4-1
CB - As above without Howedes to RB.
LB - Same as RB, Howedes goes RB.
CM - Nainngolan for Lamela, Rooney RM 4-4-1
Wingers - Rooney drops into the 4.
Striker - 4-4-1
We will play deeper, look to make sure there is no space to be gained for the opposition from being a man down, use likes of Matic, Matuidi, Griezzman, Cavani to drive us forward on the counter.
For Them:
If we are winning the game Nainngolan and Tielemans will replace Matuidi and Lamela, allow us to keep hold of the ball better and tire them out chasing us, two players who will find the gaps.
If we aren’t winning: we make our if losing changes straight away and push them hard.

E.Hazard --------------------------- F.Ribery
-------------------- C.Bacca -------------------
------------------ R.Van Persie -----------------
Subs : Caballero, Luiz, Nagatomo, Fletcher, Wilshere, Pastore, Kane
-------------------
Subs:
Luiz > Bacca - 70th minute (Luiz CM - 4-3-3) - We'll look to dominate in midfield with Luiz also providing a quick transition from defence to attack.
Pastore > Ribery - 70th minute - (Pastore RW, Hazard LW) Pastore use his pace and drive to get at them as others feed off him.
Fletcher > Tiago - 80th+ min (if winning) - Fresh legs in midfield look to work in tandem to ride out the game.
-----------
Game plan:
We stick with a 4-2-3-1 as we've had an excellent start to the season and we want to sustain that form for as long as possible. No underestimating the opposition we need to be on top of our game and play to our full potential.
We've packed the side with real physical presence as I feel we have the players to stop them playing. We keep it tight and allow them as little fluency in their play as possible, breaking up play and dictating the game.
Ribery and Hazard need to be very direct and I want them penetrating the back line on a constant basis. We must win as much set-pieces as possible today so we can get our CB's (+ De Rossi, RVP, Bacca etc) up attacking the deliveries.
In defence we look to defend deep as we feel this suits our CB’s best in looking to cut off any supply to their striker. We’ll look to dominate physically looking to bully off the ball showing whose boss. Ivanovic and Dante must dominate from the outset and their experience should come to the fore. In midfield De Rossi and Tiago must maintain the pressure and look to disrupt the play.
FB's have a major part to play so we can give wingers the freedom to play their games. The FB's should keep the width and provide an outlet on the overlap allowing our wingers to cut in and cause havoc.
Subs will ensure we have a firm grip on the game as we look to control the tempo to our needs.
-----------------------
Individual:
De Gea has strong competition for his place so must be on his toes, I want him to command his area, very vocal, quick off his feet and distribution swift and on point.
FB’s both very solid defensively and must look to keep it simple today, we need to present from the outset that it will take an almost striking effort to get past these two, I want us to get as physical as possible looking to muscle them off the ball and generally looking to use a bullying demeanour. Our wingers need to assist them as much as possible doubling up on the opposition’s and not giving an inch so we can prevent them cutting inside and imposing themselves.
Ivanovic and Dante add additional layers to our defensive solidarity, Dante is as committed as they come and should look to lead the line. He’s responsible for marking their main striker today and should firmly look to get stuck in going toe to toe with every challenge and pushing him back as much as possible, I want us to suck as much confidence out of their striker as possible due to his limited involvement so he makes fewer runs and worth ethic is questioned. Ivanovic partners Dante and is entirely in his comfort zone. He should look to keep an eye on second runners and look to keep everything in check generally staying alert to any danger.
De Rossi and Tiago add force and bite to our midfield, De Rossi is the powerhouse and should look to flex his muscles and get snapping at heels. He must work tirelessly for the full 90 setting the perfect example to others as we work collectively to keep them out. Tiago partners as he has great experience in playing in a well organised and compact system, very experienced and will run his socks off. I want him getting stuck in so we can retrieve the ball back as quickly as possible and start our own attacks.
Bacca starts today as he adds a great physical presence to our side and will provide the support that our wingers and RVP need. He is strong and can handle his own so we want to get it into his feet so he can hold up play and get others involved incisively. He’s also very clinical in front of goal and will give their defenders a run for their money thus freeing up RVP to play his natural game. Ribery and Hazard add pace and width to our side. I want Hazard influencing the play as much as possible as he looks to cut in side and become a more central figure looking to glide past players and playing quick snappy passes linking with others and creating real space. Ribery provides the more natural width looking to get one on one with his FB as much as possible and looking to whip the ball into the box.
RVP is the perfect foil for us up top today, v well experienced at playing such a role and will defiantly get the better of defenders as he is strong. The burden is off him today so we want him to play freely looking to get into good goal scoring positions and being his usual clinical self.

Here’s how the team will set out: http://sharemytactics.com/26337/
Villa’s set-up will be reminiscent to the Dutch team in the 2014 World Cup. A back three, two central midfielders, 2 wing backs, a 10 and two centre forwards. Villa’s back three can situationally morph into a back five with the wing backs dropping into the defensive line. Villa’s 3-2 defensive block will allow easy circulation of the ball in the defensive area due to the natural positioning of the players in this system. This team will be one that presses in defensive phase, one which moves the ball quickly in transition phase and one which circulates the ball to open spaces. The 3 up front will look to take up good positions and cover space, reducing possible passes for the opposition team. The ball will be moved quickly when Villa regain possession to take advantage of opened up space with the opposition not in their normal defensive structure. Both forwards need to make sure they run into wide areas where the full backs are probably missing and get a 1v1 with the centre halves where one could put the ball in and while the other gets into the box, link up with full backs when they come forward as well. The centre midfielder and the number 10 will get up to support the attack. Defending the 18 yard line is the main aim and will limit the opposition to long shots. All players stick to positions and won’t be dragged out of position. If the opposition want to play fancy passing and have 90% possession, let them, but our team will be compact not allowing anything to get into the 18 yard box.
Navas:
Claim crosses if possible. Always clear lines, and hoof up the pitch towards the strikers whenever possible. The ball must stay clear of the 18 yard box at all times. Communication is key with centre halves to avoid confusion when deciding who claims a loose ball / cross.
Toprak and Koscielny:
Deals with opposition attackers. Koscielny keeps an eye on their attacking midfielder when he gets close to the 18 yard line. Koscielny will also mark their striker closely not allowing him space to turn. Koscielny or Fernandinho will deal with knock-downs to their supporting player depending on who is closer. Toprak will try and win headers when long balls are played towards the back line. Toprak will not be as aggressive but step up to attack players that come down his side. Koscielny will be the centre half who steps up and clears up balls before it reaches their attackers, but must only go if he’s 100% sure he’ll get it. Both will protect the central centre half to the best of their abilities. Go up for corners.
Knoche:
Sits in line with the other two centre halves, he is not a sweeper. Will try and win headers when long balls are played towards the back line. Will also clean up any balls / players who manage to get through the other two centre halves. Go up for corners.
Zabaleta and Shaw:
Will both go forwards and support the attack. Will also act as extra bodies in midfield to help with holding onto the ball. Can drop into a back 5 if necessary. Main aim is to provide width and thump in crosses at every opportunity. Shoot if there is a clear sight of goal. Stays back for corners. Must not commit to tackles otherwise wingers will skip past them, just stay close, limit their space and show them onto their weaker foot.
Fernandinho and Koke:
Sits deep, breaks up play and snap at their heels. Fernandinho is an engine that can cover a lot of ground when defending. Fernandinho will hardly ever go past the half-way line. Koke will buzz around and dictate play, bursting forwards at times to provide an extra body in attack. Koke will be a bit ahead of Fernandinho to be more involved in exchanging passes with full backs / Kroos, even going level with Kroos at times to use his incredible vision to find teammates. Fernandinho stays close to the centre halves. Both sprays balls wide to wing backs and directly to the front 3. Fernandinho stays back for corners. Will not allow the opposition any time on the ball in front of centre halves. Fernandinho sticks to position when wing backs fly forwards, providing cover if needed. Koke will stand outside the box during set pieces to smack in rebounds if not taking a set piece.
Kroos:
Will constantly hit balls towards both strikers and if not possible, to the wing backs flying forwards. The number 10 will press the opposition along with the the other midfielders when without the ball. Will stand outside the box if not taking a set piece to hit a rebound.
Sturridge and Benteke:
Holds up play for the support midfielders and spray the ball wide to wing backs when they come forward, if not then they will pull wide to exploit attacking space. Get into the box at every opportunity when their partner pulls out to wide areas. Both should be able to play quick one-twos with each other if they happen to be close to each other. Both will play on the shoulder of the opposition defence and will attempt at times to get in the space between centre halves and full backs, if there isn’t a lot of space. Benteke will allow long balls to be launched to him and to bring others into play.
SUBS:
Winning/Drawing:
75 mins: Kroos OFF Gerrard ON
Gerrard replaces Kroos and will slot into centre midfield to shore up the midfield and to help keep the ball better in order to close the game out.
Losing:
75 mins: Fernandinho OFF Destro ON
Essentially going 3-4-3 where Kroos will drop back into centre midfield and Destro will go up front. Will be more attacking.
Manchester United vs Arsenal.
Balacned 4-2-3-1. We have an attacking side, one that will take the game to Arsenal. More importantly however, we have a team that can defend, in numbers and close down the Arsenal players not giving them the time or space needed.
We have been encouraged by Arsenal’s injuries and believe we can win the midfield battle and stretch their side and defence. Make it difficult for them to link defence and attack. When they do attack, we defend deep, not allowing any space in behind.
This is a big game we want to win to outline our credentials as top 4 contenders. We can’t fall down in these games this season.
We have elected to use Cesc as a false 9 and moved Tevez into the number 10 role to help us build attacks. We feel Cesc in the position he has had such success in for Spain will help us create meaningful attacks, while we wanted an attacking midfiled trio that would be able to support our forward, joining him quickly and getting beyond and at the Arsenal defence.
We will play with plenty of width, stretching the opposition midfield. In particular we want to get Robben on the ball, he’s the danger man as always. And we also feel we can expose their fbs defensively.
------------ G.Buffon
D.Alves – Pepe – Vertonghen – Filipe
------ S.Khedira – Rakitic
Navas ------ C.Tevez -------- Robben
------------- Fabregas
Subs. Zieler, Schneiderlin, Telles, Vilhena, Oscar, Cazorla, Balotelli
Attacking 4-2-3-1. Playing with plenty of width. We have fantastic pace down the wings to stretch the opposition, creating gaps in their formation. We are also confident that Busquets will be a big miss for the opposition and that we can come out on top in the centre of the park in terms of energy and quality.
When we lose possession, Cesc and the nearest of the attacking trio will look to close down immediately, pressing high up the pitch. This will allow us to get 9 players behind the ball in deep positions. Cesc and the AM will then drop into their normal positions, and we defend in our usual 4-1-4-1 shape, albeit deeper.
The formation is rigid in defence, fluid in attack. Navas keeps the width on the right, but we encourage Robben, Cesc and Tevez to interchange, pop-up in different positions, drag opposition defenders out of position, and create openings for team-mates.
We feel our team has a naturally high work rate, and this will allow us to play a high pressing game in deep areas of the park.
We will be direct and attack with pace. Our attacking four will really stretch the opposition with their movement, this should open up the opposition.
A further tactic we will employ today is tactical fouling high up the park when all else fails. We don’t want to allow Ronaldo or Reus to run at us, and so we will stop them however possible.
Defence.
Control the space. When they do have possession, ensure it’s in areas that can’t hurt us. I.e no where near our goal.
The first point of defence should be in in the opposition half, as we look to play a high pressing game. We allow the opposition defence time on the ball in their own half. But close down midfielders coming deep in this area. With two players always seeking to close down their midfielder on the ball, and 9 players behind them, we will ensure there is no space.
Force them to go long or take risks. We want to catch them out, winning possession in areas we can hurt them.
When there midfielders come deep to get the ball, Cesc and one of WGs/AM shut out the space in front of them, force them back to their defenders as our other four midfielders and fb’s will pick up their midfielders.
Although we press high up the park, the defence will ensure that as Everton advance further up the park, the line drops deep so there is no space in behind.
As Arsenal enter our half, our shape will resemble a 4-1-4-1. Only leave one man up top, this will rotate between Cesc, Robben and Tevez.
Khedira drops in between defence and midfield, sweeping in between the lines. His energy and reading will be best utilised in this position. This shape ensures that when one of our midfielders do press we will still always have 4 midfielders behind, to cover, particularly in the important central areas.
We always want at least one more defender than Arsenal has attacker. One full backs get forward at a time. The other stays in line with Khedira, ready to break forward. Guarding against counters, allows us to get players back if possession changes quickly.
Generally direct going forward, in the opposition half we will always look to go forward and stretch the opposition where possible. Navas keeps the width on the right, allowing the tireless Alves to run inside him and beyond.
Robben has more freedom to find space in central areas. Filipe is tasked with keeping the width when he gets down the left. The pace of Navas & Robben will be a real asset down the wings and will help to stretch the opposition, forcing them deep. This will create space in the centre of the park, giving time to our central players.
We give Cesc freedom up top. This gives him the freedom to get involved in everything in attacking areas. And more importantly means we have Tevez behind, who will join the attack quickly ensuring we are able to build meaningful offences.
Subs.
If winning after 70 mins bring on Oscar for Navas.
If winning after 75 mins bring on Balotelli for Cesc. As game opens up, and Arsenal push to get a goal back, hit them with pace up front. Catch them out.
If winning after 80 mins bring on Schneiderlin for Tevez. Fresh energy in middle of park, Rakitic to am.
If drawing after 70 mins bring on Balotelli for Cesc. As Arsenal push for a winner, hit their tired legs with pace up front.
If drawing after 75 mins bring on Oscar for Tevez.
If drawing after 80 mins bring on Vilhena for Rakitic. More energy in the middle, give us something special.
If losing after 60 mins bring on Balotelli for Rakitic. Cesc drops to CM.
If losing after 65 mins bring on Telles for Filipe. More attacking, and fresh lb. Attack their rb.
If losing after 70 mins bring on Cazorla for Navas.
EVERTON v Leicester
Injuries: Kyle Walker, Martin Skrtel, Nathan Redmond, Josip Drmic
------------------Schmeichel
Manquillo - Lovren - Ogbonna - Criscito
---------------Carvalho - Inler
----------Hulk - Firmino - Bernard
--------------------Llorente
Subs: Pantilimon, Kaboul, Song, Van Ginkel, Lennon, Thauvin, Doumbia
Schmeichel - Distribute from the back to the fullbacks/CM's, stay in communication with your defence throughout, be wary of long range efforts and ensure you stay big for any one on ones. On occasion go long for Llorente.
Lovren/Ogbonna - Ogbonna to mark their striker, force him high up the pitch thus limiting his impact close to goal, and Lovren to be the spare man, be first to the second ball and their second striker/AM making runs from midfield. When in possession bring the ball out of defence and use the midfielders ahead of you to help us play out from the back. Both of you go forward for setpieces.
Manquillo/Criscito - Both of you to force whoever plays on the wings for Leicester out wide, do not allow them to come inside as this will cause more problems for our midfield. They will want to cut inside so force them outside and block their crosses at source. They will try to create problems infield so its vital you only show them down the wing. If they play a diamond with no wingers you will need to form a narrow back four with the CB's and leave no spaces in behind. When we have possession, push forward and support Hulk/Bernard as they will try to run inside the fullback and you will provide the overlap to either create space or supply crosses into the area for Llorente and link with Firmino. You will need to track back very quickly to ensure we don't get caught on the break.
Carvalho/Inler - Carvalho the enforcer in midfield, assist the CB's in dealing with the Leicester attack, if they play an AM stay on him, but don't follow if he drifts wide. If they have a second striker who drops off ensure you're on top of him too. Be first to any loose balls and in possession look for the attackers and pass rather than bring the ball out. Inler is the passer, also able to assist at DM but with more creativity, link the play between defence and attack, and be prepared to help out the fullbacks in dealing with the Leicester wingers/midfielders, if they are able to cut inside we may be outnumbered. Remain composed throughout.
Firmino - Playing the AM role, with the ball I want you to drift left and right, drag Barry/whoever their DM is out of position as they will be assigned to track your runs, swap with Hulk and Bernard on occasion to create confusion and leave space for your teammates to run into. Link with Hulk, Bernard, Llorente and Inler, look for Llorente on the last defender for a through ball and also shoot if you get the opportunity. Get yourself between their DM and the ball, make them go through you and foul you to stop you, thus creating setpiece chances for us.
Hulk/Bernard - Both playing out wide and both have the pace and trickery to beat the Leicester fullbacks and get crosses in, but both of you will also have our fullback overlapping giving you the chance to cut inside and get shots in. Hulk specifically playing as Baines is a quality LB, Hulk will constantly target Baines' weaker right side by cutting infield. Look to supply Llorente with chances and also provide yourselves with chances. Link up with Firmino, and capitalise on the space Llorente's presence will create for you. Without the ball I expect you two to track back and assist your fullback.
Llorente - you will be expected to occupy the Leicester centrebacks, hold up possession and look to turn the defender and shoot. If they double mark you, drop wide and swap with Hulk to leave him unmarked and near the goal. Be strong in the air and look for your teammates trying to pick you out from deep. Shoot on sight. Stay on the last defender's shoulder for any passes in behind.
Subs 70 mins:
If winning: Firmino, Hulk and Llorente off, Song, Lennon and Doumbia on. Song partners Carvalho and Inler in midfield, more defensively minded and switch to 4-5-1 with Lennon RM and Bernard LM. Doumbia and Lennon with the pace to hang on the last defender/halfway line to punish them on the break.
If drawing: Hulk and Llorente off, Lennon and Doumbia on. Same system, big injection of pace against the tiring Leicester fullbacks. Look to get the winner as a draw would be points dropped.
If losing: Hulk and Carvalho off, Lennon and Doumbia on. Switch from 4-2-3-1 to 4-1-3-2 with attacking fullbacks, Inler the sole DM spraying passes, Lennon to RW, Doumbia with Llorente upfront. Manquillo and Criscito will be overlapping so utilise them and their runs. Bombard Leicester's defence and get crosses into the area. Push for goals.

General: Midfield harassment. We are up against a formiddable opponent in City and we are not coming here to let them play or get a foothold. We are here to challenge them and play at a very high tempo. I feel the more we slow the game, the more City will influence so we press them high and we press them hard and double up on on our full-backs as we can get the ball back and have quick inter-changes to be direct and feed Torres and co. We cant have a high line or play deep as we don't want to invite pressure.
We have 3 CM that are there to outmuscle and start attacks. We have to be focused and energised to get the ball quickly and use it as quick to start our attacks.
Alves
Good shot stopper and great 1v1 keeper. He will be very aggressive on set-pieces even if it means someone gets a black-eye on the way. Make sure he has the full-backs on the line so he can concentrate in the middle of the goal on corners. He has to be vocal and make sure everyone is organised from his view
Cacares and Maxwell
Both will be strong and aggressive but not dive in and commit. They will be well supported by the midfield or by Lallana and Salah. They have to be disciplined and not charge forward as we want to press but not go overboard and leave gaps for the likes of Ribery and Hazard. They both have to distribute the bal
Rami and Albiol
These two will be covering each other and know that we have plenty of cover to help us. They will be dominant in the air and will be intercepting rather than full flying tackles. They will be important on both set-pieces and have to attack that ball.
Fellaini, Illaramendi and Motta
We dont want to be attracting pressure and let them come onto us so we take the game to them by pressing them and making them pass back and away from our goal. We intend to chase them and receive the ball so we can attack high and they will be vulnerable and can feed the wingers and Torres. They should press the midfield and also help out defensively on full-backs and doubling up. We need to harass them and get the ball back. Motta and Illa will more disciplined whilst Fellaini has the freedom to chase them down to the keeper and also help support Torres with flick ons so he can latch onto.
Lallana and Salah
Their pace will be a threat and they will use it often as we expect to win the ball back as quick as possible and use their pace to direct attack the respective full-backs and take them on for pace and feed in Torres. Defensive duties they should help their full-backs and stay wide so we can attack their width.
Torres
The lone striker he may be but he will be working hard to run down defences and stay on the last man for when we attack and find gaps to run onto as he should expect our wingers and Fellaini to feed him and he should score.
It's a simple formation but our main goal is to keep a high tempo and press their midfield and defence at ALL times.

Godin will compete with the striker for the aerial balls played up to him, with Subotic looking to win the 2nd ball. When the ball is on the floor, Godin will be the defender who looks to meet the striker looking to stifle his space and rush his decisions, with Subotic making the covering run.
Set Pieces
Corners - Mata takes the corners, the 2 CB's go into the box, the FB's stay back to prevent counters, the CB's, Suarez and Callejon work in a group to make little blocks and cross-runs to lose a marker so one can attack the ball, Nasri looks to annoy the opposition keeper looking to limit his ability to move around the 6 yard box.

Tactics
A Defensively minded 4-2-3-1, ooking to frustrate the opposition and break quickly on the counter using the pace from out wide and taking advantage of any set pieces we get in attacking areas.
When on the ball, look to make a sensible pass to one of the wingers.
Centre Backs
Juan will compete for any aerial balls, with Mustafi looking to collect the 2nd ball, when the ball is being played on the floor, the onus is on keeping their shape with the full backs watching out for the quick one touch football and blocking the ball with every legal part of their body. When on the ball, if the opposition are giving you space to come out with the ball, go and take that chance, if not, just look to play it simple to a man in space and keep possesion.
Central Midfielders
When on the ball, they should be looking to get the ball out wide to launch the quick counters, or play it into the feet of Valencia. When defending, they will stay in the centre of the pitch, sitting in front of the centre backs, not allowing themselves to get dragged out of that area, looking to cut the space in the final third and really frustrate the opposition.
Attacking Midfielder
Payet should be looking to make himself available for a pass as much as possible, looking to get on the ball and run at the oppositions defence. He should also look to be making late runs into the box as an attacking option. When defending, he should be looking to occupy their DM, stop him being an out ball for them.
Wingers
From an attacking standpoint their job is to simply get up and down the pitch working with Payet and Valencia to launch the counter attacks, this means using their pace to either run infield and create chances for themselves, or sticking out wide and getting a cross in for the others. When defending, they will play just infront and wider of the full backs, essentially playing a back 6 with the aim of keeping their full backs playing infront of them and not giving them many chances to get crosses in.
Striker
Stay upfront all game, there will be periods of time when he will be isolated but should always be on his toes always around the last defender or the halfway line, preparing for a counter attack, if he gets the ball, his job will be to take on defenders and make a bit of space for himself or keep 2 defenders occupied to allow the attacking 3 to get up with him.
Set Pieces
Corners - Gaitan takes the corners, the 2 CB's go into the box, the full backs stay back to prevent counters, the CB's and Valencia work in a group to make little blacks and cross-runs to lose a marker so one can attack the ball, Medel looks to block the keepers movement around the 6 yard box, Herrera and Salvio take positions just outside the box to pick up any weak defensive headers or knockdowns.
Free Kicks - For direct FK's Gaitan will shoot. For Indirect FKs, follow the same directives for Corners
Penalties - Payet is the designated taker.
Subs
If Winning
70 mins - Garcia for Payet - slots in between the 2 CMs
80 mins - Naismith and Dyer for Salvio and Valencia - Fresh legs and renewed pace for counter attacks against tired defenders aswell as the element of time wasting.
If Losing
75 mins - Naismith for Payet - A narrow 4-2-2-2 with balls being launched up to the 2 upfront.
82 mins - Sahin for Medel - Extra attacking impetus

Everton away a tough tie but we approach it in the same aggresive manner as we did Birmingham that worked to a certain extent, quick free flowing football, keep on the deck as we dont have much height going forward, look to get round there defenders and get in on goal.
Vlaar and De Vrij a solid Dutch pairing at CB, on this occassion De Vrij will man mark the CF, quick and skillfull for a CB, with great marking abilities, will keep the CF away from goal and be on to him quickly as he comes forward so he can intercept any though he has of going for goal. When in possession he will carry the ball out and start attacks from the back. Vlaar alongside will mark any big men that come up for corners etc and make sure he is strong enough to get the ball away from danger, will help out De Vrij if needed.
Richards and Baines at fullback, when we attack one at a time they attack leaving the other to sit in creating 3 at the back. When Richards/Baines attacks I want them bombing down the wing over lapping the wingers to allow them to cut inside and support Di Natale, quick passing between the two to get them passed the opposition fullback, which will see Richards/Baines drive towards the bye line to get a quick cross in. If its not a cross then look for the wingers inside to play a quick pass back to them so they can drive into the box.
Sneijder and Barry can both control the game, Sneijder from a slightly more advance position. look to pick up the ball and spray it about looking to thread the ball into gaps fro the front 4 and Richards/Baines to chase onto, always makes himself available for a quick one two with the wingers to get them into the box or beyond the fullback. Sit in a 3 when defending
Bahebecjk and Meljarejo are both quick and powerful players, I want them to take on the defence today, wether they knock it passed them (fullbacks) and drive on or simple a quick turn, and there away driving into the box. Will have fullbacks supporting them so this allows them to pass and cut inside where he is very useful. Meljarejo in particular will look to help out the more attacking Baines and makes sure he gets back in case Baines is stuck up field.

Varane and Bonucci are a solid pairing at CB, on this occassion Varane will man mark the CF (unless it is Costa then Bonucci will mark him and change duties with Varane), quick and skillfull for a CB, with great marking abilities, will keep the CF away from goal and be on to him quickly as he comes forward so he can intercept any though he has of going for goal. When in possession he will carry the ball out and start attacks from the back. Bonucci alongside will mark any big men that come up for corners etc and make sure he is strong enough to get the ball away from danger, will help out Varane if needed.
Ricardo and Debuchy at fullback, when we attack one goes at a time the other sits back. When we attack I want them bombing down the wing over lapping the winger to allow them to cut inside, quick passing between the two to get them passed the opposition fullback, which will see the fullback drive towards the bye line to get a quick cross in. If its not a cross then look for the winger inside to play a quick pass back to them so they can drive into the box. Iturraspe sits just in front of the two cbs, he stops there flow between midfield and attack, always watchful for the AM and when they come forward he will look to intercept any through balls or look to stop his runs forward. Even when we attack he is always mindful of the players movement and ready to act quickly if they break forward. Once the ball is won simple balls to those around him. He will be aided when we defend by Pogba and Vidal either side of him Both extremely hard working lads who will get up and down the pitch helping both defence and attack. They sit as a threewith Vidal taking care of Schweinsteiger when he comes forward. They will break up play and get it moving forward, most likely Vidal to burst forward to assist Sanchez. His goal record for a CM is fantastic and can score from varous angles/ranges, he is a very dynamic player with great stamina, one who never gives up. He thrives with Pogba in the midfield and they will be no pushovers. Pogba is sort of mix of the two, can pass the ball about, defend the lines and also break forward. A very cool head for such a young lad. Look to pick up from Iturraspe and drive forward looking for more advanced passing to those in front of him or push forward with the ball with Vidal sitting jsut a bit behind.
Mirallas and Neymar are class. Both lightning quick with nimble feet which more often than not takes them passed the fullback, wether they knock it passed them and drive on or simple a quick turn, and there away. Will have fullbacks supporting them so this allows them to pass and cut inside where both are very useful. Give and go, wait for the return and go for goal, or look to drive into the box in support of Sanchez. Neymar focusses more on the ttricks and twists to see him passed, whereas Mirallas likes to make the pass that gives him time to look for space for him to drive into and wait for the return. Both very dangerous and with support from there respective fullbacks we will be a danger out wide. When defending look to get back and stop there defenders becoming a threat. With Sanchez as the middle man all three will drive at the Brum defence who without Chiellini will lack leadership and the movement our three this will hopefully be enough to break them apart
Sanchez goes up top, two good feet, will look to get into positions that he will become dangerous, in fact my front three are a danger and there movement will be a serious concern for the other team. Pace and movement from them, can all play CF or drift wide so when the winger comes in Sanchez will be looking to drag the CB away freeing up room for the other two to drive into. With Vidal/fullback also supporting we are a huge goal threat to anyone. I want quick football as they arent the biggest of lads, ball to feet and always looking up for a pass..

Losing/drawing
60 Mins - Kiessling for Mirallas, Sanchez move to RW, Kiessling up top, gives us extra power and height to use long/high ball if needed, he can hold up for ohers f needed

GEGENPRESSING is a highly-organised approach and will be our approach to regaining possession and minimising space for the opposition. My opponents are rapidly closed down by well-rehearsed, co-ordinated pressing movements, often by two or more players, allied with intelligent positioning to restrict space for opposition to pass and move into. The best moment to win the ball is immediately after after my team just lost it. Once we have regained possession, the transition from defence to attack will be explosive. We will be an attacking team. Aim is to move the ball around efficiently and with purpose, with many forward passes and none of Spain’s useless sideway passes. Play on the counter if dominated, but move the ball around when they sit back. Passing will be quick and intelligent, players moving into space and plenty of interchange between the three attacking midfielders. Team will look at the striker as the focal point with attacking midfielders running off and beyond him, linking up efficiently. When defending Kroos and Koke will drop back to help, Son stays up as the out ball and Sturridge prepared for anything lumped up to him. Team must attempt to block shots at all times. Deep defensive line. * When defending we will play two banks of four and be compact leaving little space in between the lines. So when defending we will go into this mode:
Koke - Gustavo - Gerrard - Kroos
Sturridge - Son
And when we get the ball we will look to set loose the speedsters up front with the whole team pushing up a bit to at least outside our 18 yard box and switch back to our normal formation.
Navas:
Claim crosses if possible. Always clear lines and play safe, take no risks. Looks to set off counters with his distribution.
Mertesacker and Koscielny:
Deals with opposition attackers. Koscielny keeps an eye on their attacking midfielder when he gets close to the 18 yard line. Koscielny will also mark their striker closely not allowing him space to turn. Koscielny or Fernandinho will deal with knock-downs to their supporting player depending on who is closer. Mertesacker will try and win headers when long balls are played towards the back line. Mertesacker will also clean up any balls / players who manage to get past Koscielny. Koscielny will be the centre half who steps up and clears up balls before it reaches their attackers, but must only go if he’s 100% sure he’ll get it. Go up for corners. If in the event that an attacking midfielder / second striker is not played then Koscielny will just have to deal with the midfield runner but not get dragged too far out of his defensive line.
Zabaleta and Shaw:
Zabaleta will be disciplined for this match, but when we get the ball and whoever the opposition manager plays goes on one of his inside runs Zabaleta will look to overlap Koke and run into the box. Zabaleta and Shaw both will show the opposition wide players to their weak foot, threat weakens when they are shown away from goal. Both will sit back when without the ball, but Shaw will bomb forward when the opportunity arises. Main aim is to provide width and provide extra bodies in midfield to link up play. Stays back for corners. Must not commit to tackles otherwise wingers will skip past them, just stay close, limit their space and show them onto their weaker foot.
Fernandinho and Verratti:
Sits deep, breaks up play and snap at their heels. Fernandinho is an engine that can cover a lot of ground when defending. Fernandinho will hardly ever go past the half-way line. Verratti will buzz around and dictate play, bursting forwards at times to provide an extra body in attack. Verratti will be a bit ahead of Fernandinho to be more involved in exchanging passes with full backs / Kroos, even going level with Kroos at times to use his incredible vision to find teammates. Verratti will need to make himself a goal threat with his late runs into the box in this match. Fernandinho stays close to the centre halves. Both sprays balls wide to fullbacks when they get forward. Stays back for corners. Will not allow the opposition any time on the ball in front of centre halves. Fernandinho sticks to position when fullbacks fly forwards, providing cover if needed. Verratti drops deeper when this happens.
Koke, Kroos and Son:
Will constantly swap positions with each other. Will look to thread through balls to Sturridge and exchange passes with each other. Constantly drifting in and out of position, into space to make it difficult to mark. Can cross when out wide. Koke should always track back to help the fullbacks and midfield when defending. Kroos can burst past Sturridge and shoot if needed. Constantly runs at their defence. All will press the opposition when without the ball. Koke will be drifting inside a lot and because he has stamina of six men he will therefore chase down the ball a lot and aim to create when he gets the ball. In this match when we don’t have the ball I will need Son to sit on their deep lying midfielder and disrupt him. When Zabaleta gets forward during his rare forward runs Son will attempt to find him at the far post for Zabaleta to knock the ball across goal for Sturridge Kroos Verratti to knock in, with Koke arriving late to gobble up possible rebounds. They will also try and double up on a full back if required (like Robben and Ribery both attacking the same fullback).
Sturridge:
Holds up the ball, brings the three attacking midfielders into play. Play on the shoulder of the last man, always sets himself at the far post for crosses. Will keep the centre halves occupied. Will chase down opposition centre halves when they have the ball.
SUBS:
Winning/Drawing:
75 mins: Verratti OFF Gustavo ON
Gustavo replaces Verratti and we go 4-3-3 with Kroos dropping back. We will then aim to keep the ball for as long as possible even if we have to do pointless sideway passing but if space opens up, work the ball forwards to try and create a chance.
Losing:
75 mins: Fernandinho OFF Benteke ON
Go 4-2-4 with Benteke Sturridge centre Koke right Son left. Kroos supports, Verratti holds and sprays passes from deep. All out attack, have to go level at least if not win it. When we lose the ball Koke goes central to provide support in centre mid and Sturridge goes to the right to provide that outlet. Switch back when we have the ball. Both full backs go forwards in turns and we will squeeze them back into their 18 yard box. Our CBs will not stick too close to the striker in case they get turned, Koscielny will be ready to chase back towards goal while Mertesacker will position himself to nick the ball off the attacker as soon as he gets it. Whatever second attacker from the opposition will be watched by the full back staying back depending on which side.
Scored the goal(s) to get all three points / to win the tie ONLY AFTER the Benteke change:
Whatever minute: Sturridge OFF Toprak ON
Whatever minute: Son OFF El Shaarawy ON
They’re gonna pen us back whether we like it or not, so we will go 5-4-1 with Toprak slotting into a back 5. Kroos will come into the centre along with Verratti with Koke right and El Shaarawy left, Benteke up front. El Shaarawy will provide the counter attacking threat when we win the ball back and him and Benteke will break at their (supposedly) abandoned defence. This is not me playing defensive football voluntarily, this is the opposition forcing us into our box like we would’ve forced them into theirs and me providing a counter measure to this situation.

------------ G.Buffon
Rafael – Pepe – Vertonghen – Filipe
------------- S.Khedira
--------- Rakitic - C.Fabregas
Robben ---------------------- X.Shaqiri
------------- M.Balotelli
Subs. Zieler, Smalling, Schneiderlin, Barkley, Cazorla, Oscar, Dzeko
Subs.
If winning after 66 mins bring on Barkley for Cesc.
If winning after 70 mins bring on Oscar for Shaqiri.
If winning after 80 mins bring on Dzeko for Balotelli.
If drawing after 65 mins bring on Dzeko for Shaqiri. Balotelli to a wide forward.
If drawing after 70 mins bring on Cazorla for Rakitic.
If drawing after 80 mins bring on Navas for Rafael.
If losing after 60 mins bring on Dzeko for Rakitic. 4-4-2
If losing after 70 mins bring on Cazorla for Shaqiri.
If losing after 70 mins bring on Navas for Rafael.

If Drawing
70 Mins - Henderson for Strootman
76 Mins - Vrsaljko for Uchida

Red card, change from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-1
Schmeichel - Stockdale for Thauvin
Manquillo - Walker for Thauvin
Ogbonna - Astori for Thauvin
Skrtel/Criscito - Umtiti for Thauvin
Carvalho/Clasie - Song for Thauvin
Thauvin - no change

Subs : Caballero, Luiz, Nagatomo, Fletcher, Wilshere, Pastore, Kane

Godin will compete with the striker for the aerial balls played up to him, with Subotic looking to win the 2nd ball. When the ball is on the floor, Godin will be the defender who looks to meet the striker looking to stifle his space and rush his decisions, with Subotic making the covering run.
85 + 87 Mins - Muniain for Nasri and De Jong for Mata - Fresh legs with the added element of running down the clock.
If Losing
71 Mins - Sakho + Higuain for Uchida + Siquera - switch to a 3-5-2 with emphasis on the wings backs acting as wingers and we go all out attacking for a way to get back into the game.
83 Mins - Muniain for Nasri - a more direct option.
If Drawing
70 Mins - Henderson for Strootman
76 Mins - Rojo for Siquera
80 Mins - De Jong for Mata
all subs seen as fresh legs with us keeping the same tactical style.
Red Card Directives
1st Half - go to a 4-2-2-1 formation, with Mata going off if needed to replace the position which was sent off.
2nd Half
If Losing - Same as 1st half
If Winning - switch to a 5-3-1 - with Mata and Nasri going off, to replace the position for the player which the red was given to, and to bring Sakho on as the 3rd CB.

Tactics
A Defensively minded 4-2-3-1, ooking to frustrate the opposition and break quickly on the counter using the pace from out wide and taking advantage of any set pieces we get in attacking areas.

Sneijder and Barry can both control the game, Sneijder from a slightly more advance position. look to pick up the ball and spray it about looking to thread the ball into gaps fro the front 4 and Richards/Baines to chase onto, always makes himself available for a quick one two with the wingers to get them into the box or beyond the fullback.
Meljarejo in particular will look to help out the more attacking Baines and makes sure he gets back in case Baines is stuck up field.

Losing/drawing
70 Mins - D.Villa on for Maljerejo straight swap more attck minded and good for a goal
80 Mins - 4-2-1-3 Bahebeck off for E.Torres 3 up top
Torres-Di Natale-D.Villa with Kagaw supporting
Winning:-
70 Mins - Delph for Bahebeck, swith with Ramires who goes to RM 4411 real tough midfield to break down, with Kagawa just in front
80 Mins - D.Villa for Di Natale

In goal Neuer, for me the best Goalkeeper there is, a fantastic shot stopper and a keeper that instills confidence in the back four, leads by example from the back, shouting instructions to hos defenders. Out quickly to shut down strikers and close there shooting angles down. Punches clear what he cant catch from high balls and likes to release early to set up quick counters.

70 Mins - Memphis for Iturraspe, Memphis to LW and neymar into suport Kiessling in a more attacki minded 4231 with Pogba picking up the AM
80 Mins - Morata for Debuchy 3 at the back in a 3412 Morata up top with Kiessling, Neymar supporting (losing)
80 Mins - Rabiot for Neymar - Rabiot sit in beside Pogba with Vidal just ahead, strong in defence but Vidal still push up if need be, last few mins sit in as a 3 and hold it out (drawing)
Winning:-
70 Mins - Kiessling for Mirallas, switch with Sanchez, good for a goal but also look to hold it up etc
80 Mins - Pirlo for Pogba, sits in with Iturraspe looking to hold on and play clever passes to hold onto it
85 Mins - Sciglio for Neymar play LM and help out Ricardo
