Would be nice to win it. However we are going against Manchester and even though I know that the football clubs should not be taken into account, but with how it has been going recently and everybody being obsessed by the two Manchester clubs, I think they will win it.
Hope I am wrong though as that should have nothing to do with who wins
Otherwise we should definitely win
Interested to note that The Guardian published a list showing intended Russian nuclear targets. Most major cities are there including Nottingham, Leicester and Coventry. Even places like Swansea, York and Kidderminster were targets.
Oddly enough the Ruskies didn't give a stuff about D***y
Maybe they thought it was not worth it to nuke a city which looks like it has just been nuked already.
The Mancs have already got the National Football Museum that they nicked from Preston so it would be a bit greedy to get this too. Portsmouth is too far so Nottingham is the logical choice.

Living in Manchester, I have to say the grassroots stuff here is feckin superb. They are pumping a lot into it. Man City have invested heavily in youth development and non league football, largely for the benefit of the community and not the club. Would be very surprised if Manc didn't win this. Great to see Nottingham up there, though. Portsmouth can suck a scrote.

Have to agree with SHH, would be nice if we won it, but I just cannot see past Manchester winning it, as everything in England with Football from the clubs to the media seem to be focussed on Manchester.
Congrats to Nottingham, Portsmouth and my own fair city. While grass roots football in manchester is pretty well catered for I hope someone else gets it as City allegedly gutted the girls teams where I live as they hoovered up all the talented girls when it started to look like the womens game would take up big time.
Would be nice to see something awarded to a different area of the country for a change. It's not all about Manc/Brum and particularly, London. In general terms, it would be far more interesting for tourists in particular to have attractions spread across what is a small country rather than crammed into certain areas, Wembley being the obvious example.
