First two lines are my new name for you. Don't you like it?
Bouncing wings are just that. But a wing which gently and smoothly moves down by a couple of inches as the car accelerates and back up again as it decelerates does not constitute bouncing. Not sure what the downforce is when the car starts to get up to speed but I'm sure it far exceeds 100kg . And as the wing drops it must increase the angle of attack which in turn increases downforce.
go cell
call me susan if it makes you happy go cell
however ----------- personally i never saw the red bull wings doing anything suspect and i suspect neither did anybody else from the images on the televisions -
i suspect if you were to compare all the various cars going over a kerb or whatever the respective wings would all be doing something relatively similar , i just dont think any of us are expert enough to fully understand what we are looking at even if the images were crystal clear --
The flexible front wings was widely discussed on BBC in 2010 and there were protests, hence the tests were re-iterated or maybe enhanced.
Maybe you were watching different pictures from the rest of the world, or maybe you just don't remember.
And the flexing had nothing to do with 'going over kerbs or whatever'. They flexed / moved when the car accelerated or decelerated in a straight line..... sorry forgot to make that absolutely clear.
go cell
yeh i remember what was said on the bbc about red bull ,
lets have it correct the fact that red bull were doing all the winning got right up the anatomy of mclaren and mclaren were doing alot of the protesting about the red bull suspension , front wing, rear wing and lord knows else but at the end of the day nothing suspect was found so in effect alot of the protesting was just one team being jealous of the red bull upstarts doing all the winning -
and yeh i saw some of the so called images in slow motion that proved nothing except a front wing will move about somewhat when it bounces over a kerb or whatever as i suspect any of the front wings would do on the other cars if put under the same slow motion microscope --
If you did not see the wing flexing then you must have been watching a different sport.
Vettel mastered the pirelli tyres? Is that why Horner and Redbull kept crying until they were changed last year?
Turn MADD, was beginning to think I must have imagined seeing it. I'm also pretty certain that Mclaren were not the only ones protesting about it. I'm sure Ferrari also questioned it, and kind if emulated it the next year.
But then again, Martial ' I have never pretended to be anything I am not on here, least of all an expert on anything relating to F1' Artist knows best. Who are we to question the oracle..... bad people.
Turn? Ty even. Auto correcting..... grrrr
The wing flexed, there are so many videos showing it flex.
The reason martial will not. Admit this is because. In his mind Vettel won 4 titles in a redbull car that was not the best on the grid. Since he likes polls, every motorsport poll, expert has said so. Last year, Sebs point total alone would have won the constructors championship.
Now the most intelligent master of f1 who is a second faster per lap than the whole field and the master of the pirelli tyres is being consistently beaten by a rookie who is allowed to compete against him.
If Ricciardo keeps this up it will be up there with Hamilton beating Alonso in his first season.
The amazing thing is that Seb had more testing time and would have had far more input to the car. Alonso said it, if he continues to get beat and has mediocre results, his 4 titles will not mean much
That would be good to see, though at least Vettel is currently seeming OK with it unlike Alonso was with Hamilton.
MA take a look at this for starters.

good evening manx
no one can see what anybody"s front wings are doing from the images on there little lcd tele and even if we could see the images of the front wing which we cant none of us are knowledgeable to know what we are actually looking at -
---------- the FIA gave red bull a clean bill of health , nothing else means diddly squat -
looked to me as if vettel mastered the pirelli tyres or did we all imagine that he has just won 4 WDC on the spin , you dont win 4 WDC on the spin if you dont know what your rubber is doing underneath the car --

what are we looking at -- so the red bull on a different piece a track , not even the same piece of track looks like its front wing is lower than a mclaren front wing in the image --
--- what is that supposed to prove when we dont see the all the other teams at exactly the same circuit at exactly the same piece of track performing exactly the same function -
looks like a bit of selective photography to me that does not actually prove diddley squat -
Nope, same track in same place at same time by respected people
http://sportingblogs.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/a-comparison-of-red-bull-and-mclarens-2011-front-wings-with-red-bulls-front-wing-clearly-flexing-more-than-their-rivals.jpg?w=774
Please please please give me some approval Martail, I don't know how else to get it from you
n six
so again what are we looking at - the bottom section of the red bull wing is a completely different shape than the mclaren wing -
--- so how are we supposed to glean from that whether it is flexing when the front wing shapes are different -
how do we know if the red bull was doing anything different than what is was supposed to be doing untill we see all the teams in the same piece of track to compare all the cars --
Are you suggesting that the red bull wing appears to be a n shaped where as the McLarens is straight?
n six
not quite sure what the specific name is for any of the front wing shapes but it is clear that red bull and mclaren have a different front wing shape and probably by definition every front wing of every team all have a different front wing shape to every other team so it is impossible to tell exactly what wing is doing what and whether or not it should be doing it -
Quite Martial, quite!
Maybe if we could see the wing when the car was stationary we could perhaps begin to understand what is happening. Maybe use some sort of recoding device to make the result visual!
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hYwqixNL1C0/TZ5GLBeAu3I/AAAAAAAACGM/QZOosV_EoR8/s320/flexible.jpg
In my mind theres ample evidence to show how much the Red Bull wing flexed. Each to their own though so if you choose to think of something bent not being bent then so be it
