I've never understood this either. It's like religious people refuse to believe that the whole universe can just appear via the big bang, but they're perfectly fine with the notion that there has always been a God and that he/she/it just came out of nowhere

The big bang is not the sole explanation for the existence of the universe as there are galaxies that exist that are older than the big bang.
The rate of expansion is also not consistent with the big bang when you model it. Now I am not saying there was no big bang, just that the big bang is not the be all and end all of everything

I would like to know what religious people actually think of other religions and their followers. I mean a Muslim following Islam, what do they think Christians beliefs ? Why are they so sure their God is the one....
Fact is people want to believe in something and need structure in their life. They want to believe there is life after death and that it's not just game over.

Muslims believe that there is only one God.
The God of the Bible and Torah and the Quran is the same one, it's just that Muslims believe that those holy books were corrupted.
The Quran hasn't changed one iota since the very first.

The problem a lot of people have is that they use ramblings captured in scripture as the basis for them dismissing a creator.
The odds for the earth being created via a series of random events are steeper than the odds for winning the lottery
