Obviously he wouldn't go to Chelsea if he didn't want to.

i dont tend to particularly 'want' my last resort though. Its more a grudging acceptance
The way I see it is he wanted Arsenal but Wenger didn't want him. So he looks at the rest of his options and picks the best.
Not a big deal really.
Mourinho for all his intelligence not doing himself any favours with these type of daft comments.
These daft comments only seem to be winding up certain people

this article is about arsene's comment though....
I don't think they have wound anyone up to be honest.
Just think Mourinho should have been a bit more careful with his words as his version of events differs considerably to Cesc's which hasn't made him look terribly clever.
While i believe Jose is capable of making a calculated lie here and there it does seem like he mostly just says what he thinks. More honest than most managers who are more concerned with presenting a good image. (not aimed at Wenger btw who has always seemed like perfectly decent man)

what did Cesc say? havent seen much in the way of official quotes from him
Blarmy (CheG) I just want to watch great players play
Irrespective of what AW said, Cesc's comments on his move are available on You Tube and social media and were fairly specific.
Might of helped if Mourinho had seen them before making his erroneous comments.

Cesc's comments were during an Spain interview during thd WC. Stated that AW told him he wasn't in his plans and wouldn't be resigning him.
Also his Facebook page has a statement about his move.
Both of which are completely contradictory to Mourinho's version of events.
Not that it matters that much. Just makes Mourinho look a bit daft.
Cesc's letter to Barca:
http://www.fcbarcelona.com/football/first-team/detail/article/season/2013-2014/cesc-fabregas-i-have-enjoyed-three-wonderful-years
Wenger clearly doesn't want to be drawn into an ugly, unnecessary argument with Mourinho, hence his comment. But anybody who believes Mourinho's comments needs brain surgery.
He says Arsenal had the first option to sign him, they didn't. So how do you know he would have accepted going back to Arsenal? The next paragraph clearly shows his hunger to go for a team that's challenging on all fronts. Something which Arsenal fail to do.
Kevin
Cesc's letter is as clear as daylight:
"Yes, everyone knows that Arsenal had the first option to sign me. They decided not to take this option and therefore it wasn't meant to be. I wish them well in the future. I considered all the other offers very carefully"
Kevin
Maybe Cesc wasn't aware of the clause in his own contract?
Sounds plausible.

What a desperate load of ballacks. Keep deluding yourself. At least, I hope that's the main problem and not the fact you have serious comprehension problems.
Isn't a first refusal? So they had the option to exercise that right, and he had the option to refuse that offer? I don't know who to believe here, Fabregas once claimed he wouldn't play for us or Mourinho... Seems like he is weasel-ing his way out of something.
