UFC games are easy i you just take time to learn how to play them

posted on 21/7/14

Not into those type of games tbh so wouldn't play it enough to really learn how to. Played it for half an hour but really didn't enjoy it. Was thinking of getting dead rising 3 but the other 2 were so fecking repetitive.

Tried it but way to much to learn. Found myself button bashing.

So you are complaining that a game that had a lot to learn made you button mash but games which are generally easy to learn require button mashing and that would be OK?

As in hitting random buttons not knowing what I'm doing smartarse

I could never get into the UFC ground game. They all feel so robotic and unnatural. I just call "only striking" when I play with my brothers.

Want a good fighting game just download the latest virtua fighter.

UFC is a decent game, just learn how to do it

COD Ghosts is dogshíte as it is on the 360.

not played Ryse
Forza 5 is ok and so is fifa 14.

virtual fighter feels more natural?

Used love crazy fighting games like Tekken etc just not that UFC game. Probably is good if you put the effort in but I couldn't be bothered. Going to get forza and dead rising 3 (I almost liked the other two but got bored quickly) later.

Didn't bother with a kinect am I losing out?

posted on 21/7/14

i thought you needed the kinnect??

posted on 21/7/14

No they sell without it now. Had one for the 360 and it was crap

posted on 21/7/14

you need it for the voice activation though, depends how lazy you are.

the touch on Fifa is really good where during the game you call out who you want to bring on and take off and it does it for you.

It's not that Virtua Fighter feels more natural but that it has probably the greatest/tightest/easiest/most complex fighting system ever made.

Yeah. Any suggestions/recommendations?

Yeah liking the xb1. The menus are a but confusing at first but it's a whole media centre. I have a skybox plugged into it and being able to flick between gaming and tv is pretty good. To be honest when I got a 360 when they first came out I wasn't overly impressed. Took them a few years to get the most out if it but the sheer amount of detail in the xb1 games I've played is brilliant. Visibly much improved on the last gen. Only killer is the length of time it takes to download a game before you can play. After an hour last night(55%) I went offline, deleted the game and redownloaded it offline(from disc) and was playing in 20 mins. It still needed updates to work online but I did that when I was sleeping.

I am tempted. I just don't see a lot out at the moment that I want to play. Problem is if I wait too long I'll get itchy trigger finger and just go buy a laptop or a pc. Then I'd have to wait a bit longer before I could realistically afford an xbox one. Decisions decisions!

Your gamertag kept popping up recently, usually when me n the Mrs were watching Netflix. So much so that she bet me that she'd see your name before that episode of Breaking Bad finished....You cost me a quid mate

Basically my friend this is MY current opinion on games.

The main factor when buying something to play games is what games they have available. So see which exclusives do you prefer. This initially will tell you if Xbone, PS4 or PC is your cup of tea.

As for the next gen - i am coming into mid 30s and have been a gamer for life, i have limited time for games at the moment so with the lack of titles now and for the foreseeable i am not bothering with next gen until maybe xmas, maybe summer 2015. However, there are an odd couple that could change my mind - Destiny for instance.

As for other things regarding playing games and which platform, depending on the amount of money you can put into it this is my preference for gaming:

Desktop PC
.
.
Xbone=PS4
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Laptop

Unless you are travelling more than 6 months a year constantly there is no real good reason to buy a gaming laptop. For instance a gaming laptop will cost 3-5 times more than an xbone and be good for gaming half the time so imo doesnt really make any sense. This is my opinion. If you wish to go gaming laptops let me know and i can start another thread with current decent systems available

Yeah champers playing a lot lately haha. Thought about getting an Alienware laptop (just because it looks cool haha) instead but like Simon said it is a waste really. Mate of mine has an unbelievable self built gaming rig he put together for about 700(can run anything in highest settings) but I'm more of a console gamer.

I was a console gamer mainly until about 2 years ago. Now I cannot find a reason to go back to consoles. PC makes the games I love and also has console games ported over (sometimes horribly) but thats fine as I dont care much for console games now. Strategy and RPG games thrive on PC and thats what I like.
