Him and Ishmael miller are probably the best value bosmans about at the moment. We also have ngog, zigic, ameobi, and our friend lita still available for free. Maybe df had all his eggs in one basket and did not have a plan b once juke signed for burnley.
If its not to be Leroy we had better go with what we have.
All this talk of strikers you would think we should be setting out to score one or more goals in every game of the season.
As a side to this article. I really hate the article in the Bolton news about youth. This we will give youth a chance is a nonsense. They will all be farmed out on loan. I know the article mentions loans but none of them will get serious game time barring a disaster and it's really frustrating.

That youth fantasy tale was just after Jay Spearing telling us we go with what we have up front they (Beckford and Davies) will score all the goals required. So he claims or was it said while a gun was pressed firmly in the back of his head.
All followed up by the signing of a lad for the development squad who had been released from Palace. DF did not raid his old club for him they deemed him not good at 21 considering what they spent on him so didn't offer a new deal when his old ran out.
I am not fussed about who the kids are or where they are from. Most good players can tell the story of a team that rejected them then regretted it. It's about icing them a chance. Great performances for the development squad doesn't translate to chances for the first team.
Well I think this off season period has been quite positive.
I think we've signed some decent players, we've got rid of some deadwood and we're building a squad whilst also putting some effort into or youth development.
I don't really recall something like this happening within the last decade for BWFC and it really feels like we've turned a corner. The fact that we have made some drastic changes to our playing squad, or youth development focus and our general running of the club (not overspending) is actually quite positive for me.
I'm excited about the new season.
I'm going to Spotland tonight, if anyone else is going?
I'll get excited if the club could show it had a future and a realistic chance of doing something on the pitch over the course of a season.
.
I'll get excited if we sign 2 out and out Young strikers
I don't think what we have up front will be nearly enough.
Benny - Blackpool offer contract to Ishmael Miller so it looks like we have missed out on that one.
Come on Dougie not much time left. The clock is ticking we don't want a start like last season !!!!!!!!!!!.
We are one striker away from a decent squad. It's not a squad that may take the league by storm. However it is a steady squad built on a very low budget.
sky sports report Keith Andrews could be joining Watford.
