Is Walter Mitty still babbling on? I can see Graham Norton in that Father Ted caravan episode.

Well your wage bill is the second lowest in the PL and that's also a FACT so how can you dispute that?

It doesn't actually say how much your players are on because that information wasn't provided for your club so how do you you know? Have you got proof?

Most of the PL clubs disclosed their player salaries but WBA didn't. It does show your wage bill is £45m so not that high and works out to be just under £30k a week on average!!

Which of your players warrant £40-£50k a week?

Leicester being a step down? Well that would depend on how you look at it I guess.

We have a very young, very talented team who play very attractive football and with a lot of pace.

Each player is fully aware of what is expected of them because they all know what style we play, have all played together and improved dramatically over two seasons and have been signed specifically to fit into our style of play.

We also have huge ambition and the Chairman is aiming for a European place in five seasons and to increase the capacity to 45,000 after two seasons.

We have an excellent academy and invest heavily in our youth development. We have first class training facilities, a new stadium that is set to increase, a brilliant owners who are extremely successful in their own business and have brought that model to our club.

WBA are an established PL club (at the moment) but you were poor last season and have a new manager who is unproven in the PL and you're going to be playing what style of football and formation? Nobody knows!

You're not going to achieve anything other than survival as your board doesn't have the money or ambition to achieve European football whereas this is a pre-requisite for NP, as was promotion within three years which he achieved.

So would it be a step down to join a club with talent and ambition as opposed to a team that is aiming for mediocrity? Survival is good enough for your board but won't be for ours!!

I wouldn't expect 8-10, I think between 11th and 15th but top ten next season. We're better than a lot of clubs already, I have no doubt about that!

What you have to remember is I've been around football and going to games since 1980 and I've seen a lot of footballers in that time and I had never sad this about our players or club before so for me to be saying it for the wry first time now, I'd say I'm probably on to something and you know I obviously know a lot more about our team and their ability than you do!

You really have to get out of the idea that just because we're recently promoted that we'll automatically struggle because it's not always the card and especially not for a team as talented as ours. These players aren't just good, they have genuine quality and are improving every season. We're not Norwich, Hull, Palace, Cardiff etc we're very much like Swansea and Southampton and they didn't struggle so why should we?

Ladbrokes don't think we'll be relegated and the headline from their site is "We can't wait to see Leicester to exceed expectations". It is also states they believe we are well equipped to stay up. Make of that what you will.

Fortunately we don't care about what you think about us but probably time now to heed what you said earlier, go away and come back in May when it will all be a lot clearer. Ok?

Or in November when you come to Leicester 👍

So on a serious note, I am interested to know who your best players are and what there attributes are?

I'm all for being proven wrong about your squad too and although I do think you're one of the favourites to go down and irrespective of all this banter, I'd like you to stay up because it's good for Midlands football.

I don't have a problem with WBA but I've found some of your fans to be a bit deluded and much like the Forest fans living on past glories that very few of you were around to witness. Comes across as extremely arrogant! All this big club talk is quite frankly nonsense!

Deluded?

Nigel Pearson. Untested in the Prem.

Is 'arro' short for 'arrogant'?

You are, by far, the most uninformed poster we have seen on here for years. Your fall will be spectactular when the reality of playing in the Prem sinks in with a few 6-0 smackings.
The Blue-tinted specs you are wearing will not be working come Xmas.

Believe me.

...and quite frankly, Baggies don't give a schit about being 'favorites for relegation' or 'manager 1st or 2nd favorite for the sack by Xmas'...we get it every year and are used to it.

The media have a major problem with us, mainly because we constantly keep proving them wrong.
This year will be no different.

Or you could actually find that you are completely wrong and that I am in fact one of the most informed posters on this board.

This team is by far the best I've ever seen at Leicester in 34 years so they must be half decent given that I've been to over 900 games and we've won two major trophies in that time!

They're technically a lot better, naturally more gifted and a lot quicker than MON's team, which consistently finished in the top ten and won I'll say again, won two major trophies in three years.

I think you'll find it will be you looking silly at the end of the season when I come on here and laugh at you all and say "I told you so" but feel free to come and take the mick if I'm wrong!

Of course I know I won't be wrong because contrary to what you so might believe, I actually know what I'm talking about and this group of players are as good as I'm suggesting!

I stand to look a complete idiot if I'm wrong so ask yourselves why I'd put my neck on the line? Any ideas??

I know NP has never managed in the PL but unlike Irvine he has built HIS team to play HIS football and he's not toying with ideas of who fits best where!!

Also given the fact that he's been at the club for two seasons now and comfortably won us the league, i'd say he's ready to step up now too!

Did Irvine win a youth trophy or something to get his job at massive WBA? So answer this, if you're such a big club why have you got such an unproven manager?

Makes no sense unless you spend all your money on high wages for average players and then hope you can get a manager in cheap and fingers crossed he can make it work? Only logical explanation I can find for promoting a youth team manager to the PL

Arro - he is not our manager. We don't have a manger. We have a head coach. Alan Irvine is widely respected as one of the top coaches in the country - A major reason why Lescott joined us (a player that would walk into the Leicester side).

His preparation and knowledge are second to none according to those who are ITK. Of course we don't know how it is going to work out for us this season, but I would take Alan Irvine and our squad over our ex coach and Drinky et al. any day of the week

Yep, we suffered with that every season in the Prem when MON was in charge. The papers hated the fact that we would stay up every season, despite them constantly predicting us to go down, and they would regularly print things along the lines of 'Little Leicester managed to beat Chelsea/Arsenal/Man Utd/Liverpool, despite having a team full of players that would not get into any other Premier League side....'

It soon got fooking annoying!!

What are you smoking, your giving genuine leicester fans a bad name. Your players have NEVER played in the Premier league. So it's anyone's guess if they'll step up

No doubt if we were from London, we wouldn't be predicted to drop

How many of your current crop are PROVEN at premier league level. And how many do you just assume will step up?

Only 1 Albion
Actually most of the Leicester fans seem pretty reasonable and realistic - except the Aussie idiot.

posted on 30/7/14

I predicted we would win the league after we beat Millwall and I was right! Leicester fans like to be negative because we're used to disappontment.

Even last season most of us didn't believe we could do it until we'd won it mathematically but I knew after losing to Watford that we would win the league last season.

I actually predicted it on here before the start of the season when people were moaning (including Trish) because we'd not signed any players. I said these players will improve and of course I was right.

I believe most of our team are ready to step up but players like Schmeichel, Moore, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Knocky, Albrighton and Vardy in particular. I also think Nuge and Ulloa are more than good enough.

I probably just know a lot more about football than you 👍

posted on 30/7/14

Why are you so adamant that I'm wrong? Bearing in mind I've most likely seen a lot more football teams and players over the last three decades so have a pretty good idea of what's good, average and poor!

Think about how stupid you're all you going to look when we finish mid-table but at least you'll all look stupid together!

posted on 30/7/14

You may be right. But many look world beaters in the championship then are simply not up to the prem. as I say I think most baggies would want leicester to do well in comparison to a QPR. But know one knows until it happens

We all expected Dorrans to step up comfortably, and we rejected an £8m bid from west ham when we went up but for multiple reasons he struggled! whereas McCauley (to everyone's shock) has become a quality premiership centre back to our surprise.

I wouldn't be shocked if a few of your 'better' players are just not good enough, whereas some of your lesser names take to premiership football like a duck to water

As I say it's all about opinions, and looking forward to an interesting season to see who (for all teams) performs and doesn't

posted on 30/7/14

I just hope you (unlike some of our dinglehampton friends) whether are right or wrong are willing to accept being wrong if that is the case

Good luck, already looking forward to leicester away this year

Leicester City > LOL

I know I got through a fair but of liquor on holiday but surely we can't be being wummed by the blandest club in England.

Being wummed by the Emmerdale of football. The ready salted of football. The Ed Miliband of football. The Tim Henman of football.

Even their stadium sends me to sleep.

And whilst we are on the subject of The Walkers stadium. We've never lost there. Ever.

What a team
