Actually he can speak English, he's done multiple interviews in English.

I just think has has no leadership qualities or a commanding presence whatsoever, he's a good shot stopper but rarely even bothers to come for crosses and his anticipation is poor also

Our problem is that di Maria is unlikely to finish the game through lack of games while Mata hasn't got into the game because his space is being compromised so if we want to replace them we don't really have any CM options on the bench.

I know people have criticized Kagawa and at times correctly so due to his lack of impact on games but Mata doesn't do much different to him, both struggle.

Mata is struggling because he isn't getting enough players around him supporting him. The only one trying hard enough is Di Maria. But you can't expect Di Maria to excel in first game. They need to build a better link up play understanding.
