Great ODI bowler but not so great in tests.
He should not have given up on test cricket. Took the easy option but is still a great limited overs bowlers and 3 international hatricks must be a record?
His problem is he can't bowl more than 10 overs without taking 3 days off to recover. He simply cannot cope with 5 days of test cricket.
Malinga averages 25 and has a s/rate of 30 in ODI's.
I would think that record is as good as most bowlers who have played 50 games or more.
I agree on that ginger, he is one of the most effective ODI bowlers.
Actually Murdoch, I have just been on cricinfo and there are a quite a few with better averages and a few with better s/rates.
Still mighty effective though
I would ask how many of those with great averages have regularly bowled at the death, which is his great strength. I'd love to have him in the England side.

Garner was awesome as well. Both had a great yorker which must be the best ball to bowl when batsmen are trying to score big.
