I take it you were booing and chastising Henry during his seconds spell for the club, and refused to celebrate his goals?

Flamini = hate figure.
Henry = Legend.
Both left the club (when could have stayed) to further their careers elsewhere.

I've heard it all now. Henry was here double Flamini's time firstly. I'll let you wake up a bit more so you realise how silly that comparison was
Inventor
As I mentioned earlier, Flamini is not the best player to play for AFC however AW brought him back and he has been part of the first team squad ever since.
I assume from your comments you are observing Flamini’s ability from a more informed position that AW and his coaching staff?
Why does length of time at the club make any difference? Both left – both returned. One is a hero, the other a traitor. A slightly cynical and biased way of thinking.
I take it you were booing and chastising Henry during his seconds spell for the club, and refused to celebrate his goals?
------------------
Never boo players, I back the majority because most that are here actually love the club. Flamini's the only person I hate
And yeah okay I booed my favourite player of all time, the king
Seriously are you well or just incredibly simple?
Who the hell compares Henry and Flamini?
Henry left with all my grace, he gave everything to this club.
Flamini stabbed Wenger in the back when we were on to something good (nearly won the title) then we had to reset and were set back for ages till Song came good
Wenger sold Alex Song and bought Flamini...
wwspd
Oh my goodness this guy is actually being genuine in comparing Henry and Flamini's actions.
I'm done with you I can't get the message into your thick skull.
If you think Henry and Flamini have contributed the same amount to this club, that's on you
Anyone would struggle in Flamini's position. Both Ramsey and Wilshere do not have the positional discipline for our new formation. Both think that they are attacking midfielders, leaving Flamini to chase down triangles for 90 minutes. The flat nature of 4-1-4-1 means that one pass could take out the entire midfield.
Wenger sold Alex Song and bought Flamini...
----------------------------
Ridiculous, should've brought Song back instead of let him go to you guys tbf better player and didn't initially want to leave, and even if so it was Barca calling nothing done out of spite.
Song was a good guy and good player. Mathieu 'I'm Arsenal's tough man' Flamini's personality is disgusting, and he has no loyalty, last year was enough shouldn't still be here
Flamini is poor but he doesn't deserve this hate. He left us. So what? Get over it. Nobody was like this to Sol or Henry when we brought them back. In fact the way Sol left was worse than what Flamini did.
Flamini's whole game is awful Gillespe
He gives the ball away a lot, he can't run, he can't tackle (just fouls), his decision making is awful (see saturday), people also overlook that Everton game on Naismith's goal where he should've challenged Lukaku but the hardman bottled it and just watched, he's so fake it's a joke
I liked Song when we had him but he would struggle in this team, he is too slow to play for us, even slower than Arteta, and his passing just isn't good enough.
Nobody was like this to Sol or Henry when we brought them back.
-----------------------
Oh ffs not you as well Bats
Were you guys supporters when the Invincibles existed? Do you know what they actually achieved here?
Apart from Cole every Invincible deserves a hero's welcome if they ever came/come back Flamini's contributed nowhere near the amount.
How was Sol Campbell's move to the mighty Portsmouth worse? We were ready to let him go
Inventor
Ironic that you have called my intellect into question when you fail to grasp the very reason why both players left AFC.
However if you feel personal insults lend themselves to a more productive discussion that is obviously a matter for you.
Irrespective of the merits on having Flamini in the squad, you have based your opinion in view of him leaving the club to play for Milan.
TH14 left the club to play for Barca to further his career. He could have stayed, and AW fought tooth and nail to retain him but the player was steadfast in leaving. Putting ability to one side, how is that any different to Flamini's situation?
Your viewpoint is entirely preconceived and juvenile, however you do not have the aptitude to recognise this.
And I suspect you are so entrenched you never will regardless of the facts.
Song is not slower than Arteta.... NO WAY!
Song would be an improvement on both our DM's tbf.
Arteta's another that's not good enough but I have no problem with him I respect his personality and professionalism

You forgot to include Debuchy's red against Besiktas, which he got by helping out in midfield.
You simply cannot have one player manning midfield while the other four attack. Either Ramsey OR Wilshere attacks, not both.
Just because the Invincibles won lots of trophies doesn't mean they get a clean slate for unceremonious departures. Sol lied to Arsene when we let him go saying he would go abroad only go to to Portsmouth.

--------------------------------------
Really?
Okay firstly Henry left at 30, so he gave his best years to the club and achieved almost everything.
He was 1 of the last Invincibles standing and was always a big ask to get him to stay after his pals PV, Pires, Bergy etc... all left.
He gave us absolutely everything which includes his best years.
Flamini became a vital part of our team after we nurtured him well, formed a great partnership with Cesc in the middle and helped a very young team in a title push, we promised a lot and were sure to bounce back and improve
But because of a petty grudge he held from 2 years prior he left didn't even negotiate a contract, he had planned his departure for 2 years and did something he knew wouldn't further his career (we were better than AC) he just wanted revenge
Fair enough if being dropped in 06 hurt him that much but don't come back to my club if that's the type of guy you are, why didn't he refuse to come back through principle?
Cos we gave him a free handout, as I say lucky to be here and the least he can do is perform but he's been shocking this season played a massive part in our dropped points already
Just because the Invincibles won lots of trophies doesn't mean they get a clean slate for unceremonious departures.
--------------------
The majority of them gave us their best years and left gracefully though seriously I don't know why your comparing this average clown to our greats
So what Sol only went to Portsmouth how does that effect us when he was done anyway?
Flamini ran down his contract and left Arsenal for free..on other hand, Arsenal made profit on Henry, when he was 30.
Inventor
Flamini was offered a number of contract extensions but turned them down. Just like TH14 did. He was offered a far more lucrative contract by Milan and left. Had the club been more proactive they would not have let Flamini’s contract run down (as they have with countless others who left) in the first instance.
Age, time served, have nothing to do with your dislike of Flamini however. You are essentially maintaining that Flamini could have been the best player ever to play for Arsenal but you despise him because he left the club (six years ago) to further his career, and had the audacity to accept AW’s offer to re-sign for the club.
In regard to Sol, AW only sanctioned Campbell’s departure from AFC as he was assured by the player was going to play abroad. Nevertheless he ends up playing for Pompey (mainly due to his excessive wage demands).
It’s unfortunate that you fail to see the absurdity of your view when compared to other players who have left the club, and furthermore that you hold so much hate towards a player who has made well in excess of 100 appearances for the club.
Suggest you move on from this, like 99.9% of the rest of our fan base did a long long time ago.
Arsenal has always had a generous company policy. We have been known to offer training facilities to unattached former players and even to players without any previous links to the club. Having such experience on the training ground, no doubt rubs off on the rest of the squad. Such players may also be drafted into the senior or reserve teams, during squad shortages. From those who manage to tie down contracts elsewhere, a good deal of goodwill is cultivated.
Who knows, we may even see RvP, Nasri or Ade coming back for a Greatest Hits reunion.
Flamini didn't run down his contract, we didn't even offer him one until the final year of his contract. If memory serves me correct, the summer prior to 07/08 we were trying to get rid of him and he was on the verge of joining Birmingham at one stage. Only when he pushed Gilberto out of the team did we show any interest in keeping him. When you think of it really, out of all the people to ever leave Arsenal, he probably had the best reason of the lot.
