Wassa, are you on holiday?

Right, finally got to the airport and conducted my straw poll. Like the Scottish referendum I have kept it simple just so anyone who supports Forest would understand.

Q. Have you heard of Nottingham Forest Football Club.

A. You'll never guess?

posted on 8/10/14

Well my guess is...

Yes aren't they the team that beat Hamburg in the European Cup.

Really of all places Germany is not the place to go asking that question.

Still I am sure you'll tell us that they said "who" or "yes aren't then near to Derby" or something like that

That is not improving things......

Forest are more famous than Derby. Deal with it.

You have got it bad FoFF. You think any Hanover fan will recall that after 40 years. They are not all still pi55ing themselves.

Unlike us and Yoevil of course.

WAGBO, other than your fellow fans who ignore how you are; you'll find that most people will be looking down on you and don't have to be up their backside to do so. I'm really not generally but if it makes you feel better then fairy nuff

Sorry Wassa. How are you mate?

A bit of topic but you seen the Keane quote about one of Derby's biggest legends?

"Sparky gave me permission to give him a call. So I got Robbie’s mobile number and rang him. It went to his voicemail: 'Hi, it’s Robbie – whazzup!' like the Budweiser ad. I never called him back. I thought: 'I can’t be f'ing signing that.'"

I'm fairly surprised he even considered signing him before the call tbf

iwas I have nothing bad I'm just stating the obvious. Football fans of any country tend to look at the past as well as the future.

I find it strange that you feel most football fans are so poorly educated and limited in their knowledge of the game, the teams that contributed to it, and the teams from outside their home country. It is after all global sport (as I love telling my US colleagues).

If I "had it bad" I'd be talking about 150 years of history, being the first team to use Whistles, nets etc and all that we have contributed to the development of the game etc....

Exactly FoF, it's about past, present and future when it comes down to it. Those that usually go on about rivals living in the past are saying so because theirs isn't as illustrious.

It's only recently a global sport at club level. Back in your day it wasn't. I've sat with Chinese people talking footy and they have heard of us and not you. That is due to our Prem season which is more recent history.

Same with India by the way so that's 2.5billion.

I also struggle with the idea that we should not celebrate our past. Is it not not major part of life itself to think about where you came from and how you learn from this for the future.

Should all the other teams never look at their past achievements. Should no one be allowed to ware stars on their shirts. Were Real foolish to focus on the "la Decima".

I for one am proud to be a red and am proud our and past achievements in the same way I will be proud of our future ones.

Rant over. I'm off to cook dinner.

It's 34 years since we last one the European Cup Iwas. You're mixing up the fact that Derby haven't won anything for nearly 40 years. Absolutely zip, nadda, flip all

iwas - everyone has heard of your prem season but honestly that is nothing to boast about.

You mean that they have seen one of those shows with the countdowns? You're on a lot of those for breaking all sorts of records.

Iwas, stop making crap up anyway
