Why would you want Drogba to play?

I think that maybe Costa should not be risked,I also think that DD would relish the chance to show off on the European stage again ,plus, Maribor would not fancy him ,just on reputation alone .

I want to see Drogba score at least once this season and this is a game when I think he could bag 2 or 3.

play Remy, i'd rather he picked up some form than Drogba who im sure is doing a good job as a locker room leader but really isnt the guy to call when Costa is unavailable in the PL

If Drogba is fit i would start with him also. He has so much experience of playing CL and (no disrespect to Maribor) but they could provide him the opportunity to score some goals and get his confidence up............A confident and in form Drogba will be a very useful asset this season, in fact at some stage we will need a confident and in form Drogba if we are to win the title this season.

Whenever Costa isn't fit for PL/CL matches, Remy should always start for me.

Remy did ok yesterday.

For me I would like to see Drogba get some more game time, but I don't see the Remy/Drogba thing as major to be honest, just want Costa back, fit and ready.

Remy did better than ok yesterday, was pretty much isolated for most part but kept hold of the ball when he received(which we didn't see from him previously).


I'm the opposite I would like to see Remy gain more minutes, in better shape to fill in as backup.
Living in hope with Drogba, not going to miraculously return to any sort of 1st stint form or viable form for that matter.

Often forgotten how poor he was in his last season in the PL.
Not going to get any better at 36 in the top level.

remys movement and one touch passes were very good. He got hardly any passes too(think cesc nearly found him with a worldy floor cross) but other than that nothing. very impressed.

Even at Galatasaray, nothing there to prove to me that he can still perform at top level.

Jose did say he'll only make one or two changes from Palace match.

I hope Drogba starts. If anyone can get the best out of him then that's Jose.

Remy is a striker, he did not test the keeper once yesterday, i don't see that as more than ok.

I agree he did some good stuff and like Drogba he also needs game time, but let's not exaggerate his performance yesterday, not one shot on target.
