We're above you because we have more points than you. Considering how poor you've been I wouldn't go talking about your game as a forgone conclusion if I were you.
---------------------------
You've also played an extra game than us, it'd be foolish not to mention that.
I honestly think there's something wrong in your head though, because based on your responses to my previous comments you just seem like you've got an agenda. Half the time you don't even post anything worth reading, just childish little digs or insults.
Ask any neutral and they'll tell you we're the team looking most likely to grab a top 4 spot. We're the only ones showing any sort of improvements so far
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What in the world was all the about?
Simply both teams haven't been great and both have to improve. I just don't understand why people think you can improve but we can't. I've asked why several times and the only answer I've had is because of referees which is quite frankly ridiculous as we've had just as many poor decisions as you have and two of the last three seasons been top of the table in the debatable decisions table.
The fact of the matter is that it's nonsense to say you can improve but we can't when we both have the same issues, poor defending, injuries and new players that need to gel.
At worst Liverpool will be 1 point behing Manu after tomorrows game.
Considering the easier fixtures than Manu have had, that should be a slight worry for them.

--------------------------
Please show me where I blamed the referees, because that was all in your head. The answers are all in the paragraphs I've typed above.
We already have improved though. We were woeful at the start of the season and are looking much better in certain areas of the pitch. We've got better players than you guys do as well, so our problem is just getting everybody used to their roles. Which, if you watched our performances, is getting better almost every week.
Nobody is saying you can't improve, we're just saying there's been no signs of it so far. There's literally no confidence in your side, even Brendan looked nervous and was sweating like crazy in his post match interview.
You guys have showed nothing encouraging in my view, and have been at the same average level for weeks now. Lackluster performances with no positives to take from them

That's debatable whether you have better players. Strikers yes but one is new and scored once, one is playing poorly. I wouldn't say you have better defenders or a better central midfield.
Besides as we have shown and others before us it's how the team performs not individual players.
Again I don't see why you can improve and we can't, that's the only issue I had. And yes I know it wasn't you who said it but you're the one who took issue with my comment and went on an instant period over it.

At worst Liverpool will be 1 point behing Manu after tomorrows game.
Considering the easier fixtures than Manu have had, that should be a slight worry for them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Keep hearing this crap being spouted.
The only fixture Liverpool have had which they shouldn't be confident of winning is the City game. All other games -you could argue Spurs, but they are no great shakes - Liverpool should be winning.
Indeed both United and Liverpool have played WHU, Everton and QPR. United have won all 3 games. Liverpool have won only 1 (rather fortuitously), with a draw and a defeat. If these are easy fixtures, why haven't Liverpool managed to win them all?
Yes, United should have more points on the board than what there is currently. We've underperformed. But by the same token Liverpool should have had 18 points minimum themselves now, going off this 'easy fixtures' theory.
Barf Vader, everyone always ignores that.
Apparently Everton was a tough fixture for us while Burnley and Sunderland were easy ones. Nothing goes like it looks on paper. Arsenal's fixture yesterday was a nailed on 3 points at the start of the season, look what happened.
Yet at worst we will be 1 point behind.
you can cheery pick any 3 games you like the fact is utd have had an easier fixture list so far and no European football to contend with. I would have expected Utd to have a lot more points on the board than they do currently.

----
You beat QPR well there's no doubt about that.
You were incredibly lucky against West Ham, West Ham wrongly had a late equaliser ruled out for offside, and were good value for a point in that match. Likewise with Everton, who missed a penalty and it was only some incredible goalkeeping which saved it for United.
That's debatable whether you have better players. Strikers yes but one is new and scored once, one is playing poorly. I wouldn't say you have better defenders or a better central midfield.

--------------------------
Again, I never said you can't improve, just that there's been no signs of improvement so far. Literally nothing. You guys were pretty woeful today and were extremely fortunate to get the three points. Also in one of the "easy fixtures" you mentioned.
It's not really debatable that we have better players, we just do. Fullbacks is about the same, we have better attacking mids and forwards as well as a better keeper. CMs are about even with Herrera, Blind, Carrick, and Di Maria playing there for us.
The only place you guys are better than us on paper is CBs, but to be honest I wouldn't even swap our for yours as both sets are pretty horrendous. Ours have been injured more so far and are younger, so there's plenty room for improvement.
You were incredibly lucky against West Ham, West Ham wrongly had a late equaliser ruled out for offside, and were good value for a point in that match. Likewise with Everton, who missed a penalty and it was only some incredible goalkeeping which saved it for United
---------------
We rode our luck against West Ham, but that goal was offside. I suggest you take a look again.
We were comfortably on top until Rooney's moment of madness though, and against Everton, they really didn't even look like scoring until the last 5 minutes. MOTD highlights make it look like a different game.
But like I mentioned before, at the moment we've been playing brilliantly in the first half of our games. We've scored 8 goals in our last 4 games in the first 45 mins. But for some reason as soon as the clock strikes 60mins, it's like our players switch off and go into cruise control, with no way to get out of it. LVG has noted it in post match interviews and said that's what we need to work on. We still haven't even scored a goal past the 65th minute this season for whatever reason that is

Not lucky in the easy fixture against WHU. It should have been over in the 1st half. Poor finishing. Nolan was offside at the end. DDG made 1 save in the second half when we had 10 men. We beat them. You didn't.
In the easy fixture v Everton they could have had a point against us. We were poor late on. We beat them. You didn't.
you got a points improvement but not a performance one (something that could be said about us today as well)
Everton treated you like old testament slaves and you would have been lucky to get 1 point let alone all 3. A bit like us today really. West Ham feel they deserved a point as well (although he was offside).

----------------
You only saw MOTD if you thought that about the Everton game. 1st half they didn't even have a sniff until the penalty in the first half. All those chances came from the 85th minute onwards. If you think we were lucky to get a point then I know you didn't watch it. Here's some quotes from the live text page:
11mins: "Manchester United have started well, which will please Louis van Gaal..."
13mins: "Manchester United continue to pour forward and a deep cross from the left..."
16min: "Everton finally get a chance to control possession from the centre of the park, but there's a sea of red in front of them and they eventually run the ball out of play."
19min: "Radamel Falcao continues to look lively in the penalty box for Manchester United, but he snatches at his latest effort and drags it well wide after a superb flick from Angel Di Maria. The hosts are firmly on top, though."
27mins: "A sublime finish, and it's the very least Manchester United deserve"
31mins: "Everton keeper Tim Howard is busier than the village vicar this Sunday lunch-time as he makes a wonderful save from Angel Di Maria's sweetly-struck and deflected free-kick from 35 yards out."
41mins: "Another scare for Everton when the hosts win a corner which subsequently picks out Radamel Falcao unmarked on the penalty spot, but the on-loan striker shins his effort well over the bar"
55mins: "From nowhere, Everton are level"
It's hardly a game we were being dominated, although like all our recent games, we came apart in the 60th and looked a shadow of ourselves in the first half. Nothing like today's game as you compared. If you saw our first 4 performances, we've been a different team since then, which is probably a large part due to Di Maria
I'm not sure we'll concede 5 at Leicester
Either way, not worried by United. Unless Rooney gets injured then he'll stop getting in the way of the decent players and they'll be able to use that pace & guile properly. As long as he plays we're fine...
We're above you because we have more points than you.
