Jorvik most fans who go to watch The Rams, will tell you we need a big target man up front, especially for when we get Tyson and hopefully Ward back. In saying that I'd still bring Fletcher in cause he could be the answer to the experienced striker that we need, then at least we will have brought someone in and then Glick can come out of hiding!!
I'd love the guy to be in the squad
Wassa,
I don't agree that Derby need a big target man, someone who can hold the ball up yes & a little more craft in midfield.
He's looked good the few times I've seen him on TV Eddie
Just foe those who can't see the link:-
Skysports.com understands Gary Taylor-Fletcher has rejected the offer of a new contract at Blackpool.
The experienced forward has entered the final year of his current deal and is set to become a free agent next summer.
The Seasiders had hoped to avoid such a situation by agreeing fresh terms with the 30-year-old.
An extension has been put to Taylor-Fletcher, but he has no plans to put pen to paper at present.
With his future at Bloomfield Road cast into doubt, interest is mounting in the former Huddersfield and Lincoln man.
Birmingham, Derby and Millwall are all believed to be keen on a player who held his own in the Premier League last season.
.
Too old to pay for if on a free next summer maybe!?
But only if is wages are comparable to the rest of the squad.
It would be a brilliant signing offering us some creativity and against Blackpool he ran the show for them. Would like another creative player so we don't have to rely on Ward or Tyson.
We won't be signing anybody until we have Bywater and Leacock off our books. Blackpool can offer similar wages to ourselves having the benefit of parachute payments so why would he turn down Blackpool for us. This is a non starter.
I didnt go to the Blackpool game but I heard he was the only threat for them and was by far theyre best player
Would be a great signing for me
Would be very impressed if we could manage to get him on our books - only problem is he's just come down from the Prem, one would assume he hasn't signed a new contract because he wants to be playing there, not at another Championship club.
