I know for a fact he is dishonest ginger

I was in sports soccer once, and he came up to me and said "Lonsdale is the new Nike, you should buy those trainers"

and I did

and they weren't

and that's what happened.

solid proof, man cant be trusted.

"no honest businessmen these days it seems."

Dont really see what Mike Ashley does that isnt honest personally.

He bought Newcastle in order to get sponsorship for Sports Direct in the Premier League and to make money for Sports Direct from Newcastle. In the process, he has turned Newcastle into one of the most profitable clubs in Europe, the more money Newcastle, make, the more he can take for Sports Direct.

Ashley spends no more money than he needs to at Newcastle, in order to keep them in the Premier League as its the TV money they gain from that which makes the significant difference. This is why Newcastle fans are unhappy with him, they feel with the money Newcastle makes, and could further make without giving millions of pounds worth of sponsorship to Sports Direct for free, they could push on to bigger and better things, and to be honest, they are right, but then Ashley would need to reinvest almost all profits back into the club to try and break into the top four and not take a cut for himself/Sports Direct, he'd probably need to put more money into the club on top of that...that aint happening.

With Rangers, the level he would need to get us operating at to get a significant return would be top of the SPL and competing in Europe, he would spend as little as he could to maintain that, anything less than that would not be profitable for him or the club.

Tell me which part of that doesnt sound exactly like what is going on at Celtic right now, spend as little as they can to stay top of the SPL and have a crack at Europe???

I'd go as far as saying Ashley would spend more than Lawwell to try and somewhat guarantee Champions League football in order to get the return for himself and Sports Direct, thats what he is after and why he's interested in taking control of Rangers

did u just miss my story stevie?

"I'd go as far as saying Ashley would spend more than Lawwell to try and somewhat guarantee Champions League football in order to get the return for himself and Sports Direct, thats what he is after and why he's interested in taking control of Rangers "

is that prudent?

One thing to be said about Ashley is he won't have his arm twisted by the fat right ulster nutters in the Rangers support. Maybe a chance of a fresh start for the hordes who attend the sports direct arena.

When did Celtic sign Scepovic, Wakaso etc...

If you had signed them in July and not end of August, could ti have made a diffrence??

Thats what I am talking about when I say Ashley could be inclined to spend the money to try and somewhat guarantee it, not saying he will go out and blow millions

"I don't know about that Stevie, speak to Newcastle fans about their transfer dealings last year, no happy"

Difference there though is that Newcastle finished 10 th in the table last season, 16 points above the relegation zone....miles safe.

If Newcastle had flirted with relegation last season, I believe they would have spent more in the summer.

I also believe they will spend some money in January if the current situation doesnt improve, target for Ashley is mid table, nothing more, at present they are only 4 points off 10th
