On the other I want him not to succeed.

Stop it!
First team is our priority now.
If the kids are good enough then it shouldn't matter who takes charge of them.
Give him 100% as first team coach and see what happens.
First team is our priority now
--------------
Should have been the case after his previous spell.
One the one hand I want Neil Redfearn to have as big an impact on the team as he did in his previous stint as caretaker of course I do, a few points and moving in the right direction. On the other I want him not to succeed.
----
He didn't make that big of an impact. He was very fortunate with results.
Never ever in two minds!!!
Always want everyone to succeed!
And he has already been given the job permanently anyway!!!
Luvr,
You didn't watch the games then obviously!
3 wins & a draw from 4 games, 10 points from 12?
After the performances Vs Brighton, Watford & Bradford...if you saw the game against Hudds & 2nd half vs Bournmouth then you would have seen the improvement.
The players had more belief, only conceded 2 goals whilst scoring 8.
I agree the performances weren't incredible but they were the best of the season so far
He's our new coach simple as.
Cellino is our owner simple as.
Support them and support the club. It would be nice to see and read people bigging up the club and not continually undermining it and its ownership.
Good luck to NR..!
Have faith, I did mate
After I saw us against Brighton where we were played off the park, then Bradford after watching the players holes fall out, the scrappy battling performance Vs Bolton was certainly an improvement.
I remember Silvestri was probably MOTM but we defended well, and looked more of a team than in the previous 6 games.
Birmingham away I missed, but a good away point after 3 awful away performances Vs Bradford, Watford & Milwall. Watford being a funny 1 really, I thought we were the better side for 50mins until all our players went cuckoo.
Bournmouth first half we were shocking, 2nd half was the best we've played all season without doubt....
Huddersfield we were more clinical, again not the greatest performance but we defended well, and finished our chances.
Massive improvement on what I'd seen previous.
No one is undermining the ownership Eric!!!
Some people just want whats best for the club. Instead of pretending that everything is rosy all the time. And constantly being proved wrong.
If we don't progress at all other the next few years and stay in the bottom half of the championship will anyone that is not satisfied with that become a dreary?
I do support the club! I get behind very player and coach whether I think they will do well or not. But having a knowledge, expectations and opinions does not mean I do not want whats best. If anything the total opposite. Maybe I just have some pride in my club and care what's going on. Rather than just convince myself everything is always good and carry on blissfully unaware.
Good luck to NR
JUD,
I agree. There were improvements.
But we were fortunate. Luvr think that's completely wrong.
We were fortunate. You know from watching the games, we could easily have lost to Bolton and Bournemouth. Had the luck being the other way. I am not saying we played badly. We played quite well. But both sides dominated us for significant periods of the game.
Redfearn did a good job don't get me wrong. But we didn't become promotion contenders over night as 10 points from 12 would suggest.
I also believe that some credit has to go to Hockaday. Redfearn improved on what he was doing. But he did achieve some good things with the players.
I think Redfearn will do a good job. But mid table is still where we will finish. I hope that is good enough for Cellino and Redfearn gets to build on that for next season. Because that's by far and away our best chance of success
I am not saying we should have lost those 2 games to clarify.
But we could easily have. And draws were probably a fair result.
Yeah I agree mate, we certainly weren't the finished article...a long way from that.
We did improve each game though....would have been very very interesting to see what NR would have done over the past 6 very winnable games...I believe we would have kept on improving and won at least 2 of the 6 at the very least...with a couple of draws thrown in.
What Cellino did in this instance was listen to the fans.
Fans were worried that NR leaving the academy wouldn't be best for the club, at the time I kind of agreed.
But if the kids are good enough, then it shouldn't matter too much whos in charge....Richard Naylor?
NR - First Team
RN - Youth
And yeah on a different day (under Hock or Darko) we wouldn't have got a thing from those games imo.
He (NR) had a massive effect on the players, and fans inside ER.
No Jud, Cellino sacked Naylor.
Do we actually have any coaches at the club other than Redfearn and Neil Sullivan at the moment?
Faith, Darko is still on the books apparently:

Yeah I saw that Jonty,
You are likely to know for sure, are there actually just those two left as coaches?
Obviously we are paying Darko still but he isn't working for us. What about his assistant? Is he on gardening leave?
Jason Blunt coaches the u 18s
So to summarise. We ony have 3 coaches. One is first team coach. One is a goal keeping coach. And another is under 18s?
We have no manager. No assistant. No academy coach. No fitness coach. Or any supporting coaches?
Oh no Cellino is manager sorry. So we har a manager.
