Why are you kicking me?

At the end of the day Suarez, willingly or not, used a racist term. Of course Evra isn't going to like it because the fact of the matter is it's derogatory over here. Whether or not he knew that changes nothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It changes nothing in a legal sense but from a bigger picture point of view, racist remarks stemming from ignorance, in my opinion, are more forgiveable than deliberate hate-filled racism, although that's not really saying much

Suarez lies again in his book. When he was before the panel, he said when he called Evra negro he was being conciliatory, now he says he was not.
Is there an end to this man's lies?

I was just about to post exactly the same thing
The 'conciliatory' nonsense his defenders used can now be put to bed. It was always complete nonsense anyway. Concilatory in a Manc Scouse game

Pretty much nail on the head.
Nobody can blame Man Utd, Evra or anybody else for the situation because Liverpool either failed to educate their staff or Suarez took the will to win to a new, despicable level.

The only way Nibbles can come out of this with any integrity would be to bite a black player.

neither made any reasonable attempt at a handshake
I got the impression they didn't like each other much. that's just a hunch though.

I'm clever like that
................
You hide it well.
I like suarez as a football and will like to believe he is not racists, in fact I believe he isn't. He said a term deemed racist from a non spanish perspective. Is arguement is that from spanish perspective it is not racist could be true and unless we knew is primal intentions it is difficult to argue against. What alarms me is why he never express this at the time as many would have understood. It felt like there was something more sinister as a result.
Instead he hid behind his lawyers, and his club who embarked on a war of attrition against evra and utd.
As someone who lived in latin countires for well over a decade, what he did and said just isn't racist. Case closed.
You can argue that he should respect the English language enough to know better, i'm sure he does now... But in Spanish, it really just doesn't mean much at all.
If after the FA got involved, he came out and apologised and said something along the lines of, wires had been crossed or tried to reach out to Evra and Utd this would not have happened.
Instead they wore t shirts, were leaking stories to the press and were not able to get their stories straight.
I like suarez as a football
-------------------------------------
Yes I'm sure lots on here would agree, they would also like to kick him.

He didn't come out straight away and say it because he hadn't had time to make the story up until after he spoke to his lawyers, etc.
I blame Chelsea over the whole incident and its fallout
Evra and Chelsea's groundsmen had a bust up didn't they?
Bloody Evra, always the trouble maker, never the victim.
But in Spanish, it really just doesn't mean much at all.
..................
That is clearly an issue then isn't it, when playing in a country where it is racist.
Thus his well deserved fines and bans.

I'm not sure Suarez ever actually claimed it was conciliatory. Many Liverpool fans suggested it though
The guy is not a racist. But he did use a racial slur in calling him black in a non-conciliatory way, whether he meant to or not
Could and should have been nipped in the bud at the time with a simple explanation of it wasnt meant in the way it came out but he accepts it was a mistake and apologised to Paddy
It would have blown over far quicker but instead, Liverpool acted like utter idiots and that is the reason Suarez now has a tag that is almost certainly unwarranted
I see he now admits he's a diver too. Moyes and Fergie were right seemingly
