Probably wants to put him on a two week rolling contract.

Maybe Cellino is expecting Redfearn to work for free if he really loves Leeds.....

“The more I think about it, the more angry I get. Too many when I arrived said they love Leeds but I think they loved more what being at Leeds was like for them.

“They would say they are passionate for Leeds, but they are not willing to sacrifice. They don’t give up holidays, they don’t give up their lunch, they don’t give up their free Wednesday, they don’t give up their Bank Holidays. They don’t give up anything."

Cellino and Redfearn have met again today but they're still not in agreement about the details of Redfearn's financial package. #lufc
---------
Cellino wants paying, Cellino wants him to work for free!

Financial terms still to be agreed between Cellino and Redfearn. Unlikely to receive as much as Milanic, who was on £400k a year. #lufc

So Cellino wants him to do better than Milanic, but won't pay him as much as Milanic.

Oh, and after 32 days we now have to pay out 800k comp to Milanic + whatever comp his assistant will get, on top of the 260k for Hock + whatever Lewis got.

Cellino just blown over 1 mill with 2 stupid choices.

Can they negotiate compensation packages in the contracts?

Darko said he was on gardening leave, so im guessing MC wont have to pay compo till he's actually left?

Jud, yes, you can negotiate and reach a compromise agreement, but if you;re sacked person, especially if you really did pay 300k to buy out your contract at Sturm Graz, you'd want full amount

posted on 30/10/14

Oh yeah for sure you'd want it

What DM wants and what MC gives are most likely very differing figures.

Is it a fact that DM bought his contract out at Graz? Very good gesture if true, showed his commitment to the cause.

If MC had wanted him that bad, surely he would have paid the contract up?

Jud, that's what was said at tim, that Milanic bought out his contract.

I thought that was a ridiculous thing to do to come and work for someone with reputation for sacking coaches.

Apparently though, results weren't going his way at Sturm and there was talk he would lose his job potentially.

It wasn't really a sign of commitment to the cause.

yeah suppose mate, wasn't sure of the ins and outs

I would have thought he'd sooner lose his job and get a payoff, rather than pay himself out of a job....especially to come in to this job.

Jud, that's what doesn't make sense, why pay 300k to buy yourself out of contract to work for Cellino.

I just did some quick maths, comp for BM, Gibbs, Hock, Lewis, Milanic and Volcanovic must be over a mill, that's like writing off 3 thousand STs of revenue and there will probably be more to come this season.

Cause if what you are saying is true he just made 500k out of it due to his Leeds compensation.

500k for 32 days worth of work.

Not bad if you think about it.

its a cracking return

£300k on a 2/1 shot almost?

Matty, that is one very logical way of looking at it actually

It doesn't look like we are paying insurance out for Milanic. But we are paying up the rest of his 2 year contract just month by month as though he was still working here. That means it has still cost us that amount

Being told that Redfearn and Cellino have reached agreement over his salary. Still work to be done but a big obstacle cleared. #lufc

Lets hope it's sorted today so he can get on with preparing the team for Cardiff.

Be interesting to see who he brings in as his assistant was told that NR was behind the sacking of Carbone, Naylor, Bromby etc doesnt want any ex players involved in the academy wants a clear run fo himself, can see why he wouldnt sit on the bench now was waiting for Milanic to fail.

Like I said yesterday Don, don't think NR is whiter than white.

He's after a full 6 games contract like the others had instead of the month offered

Don,

if that's true then its quite disappointing to read
