And the team are only human, young ones at that.
The home support should do what the away support did at Derby and praise and encourage.

If by “we’re doomed, we’re doomed....no we’re not” you mean we’re not going to repeat the embarrassment of two seasons ago then you are absolutely right.

If by “we’re doomed, we’re doomed....no we’re not” you mean we’re going to be playing in the Prem next season you’re absolutely wrong.

No doom. No gloom. No happy clapping. Just the stark realisation that this is it for a while.

I like your plan Wolfgang the issue is that Kenny won't follow it. We'll continue playing the same formation with largely the same players (largely).

We might get a striker in Jan. But we might not, I'd be very surprised if we do anything before then.

Even at half time at 3-0 down we didn't change the formation just a cb for another cb. I hope I'm wrong hut I don't think Kenny has any intention of changing anything

tatter, i over reacted to yours and others over negativity as i see it so i've dropped the "guaranteed" promotion.
there's a lot of good in our team and it won't take much to put right its shortcomings, the problem is, as Mike says, Kennys over caution.

Leave the match threads alone, and we'll be just fine

Who's doing the Forest one?

Before saturday halfie, now probably me.

Like mike, my biggest worry is that Kenny doesn't try and change anything, just making like for like changes each time, where is a plan B.

Other than that, we still have a good shot at promotion.

Yep. Other than the stubborn manager, lack of firepower, inability to defend and misfiring midfield I’d say we are ideally placed for a promotion push.

Oh and did i mention the pointless tinkering, trying to shoe horn Rowe into the side when all was well, starting Sagbo when he first arrived, Saville getting a game when he arrived, never mind bedding them in to the squad first!!!

I think you're right wolgang, the over reaction to saturdays result has been a bit over the top, but understandable, all of a sudden were going to be lucky to escape relegation. Lets not forget that this team was virtually thrown together last year and is mainly composed of kids, so lets not go over the top just yet.

We were beaten by the best team in this league and up to then had we seen another team that was going to worry us? NO.

I guess its going to be how we react to this defeat that will see how good these players are as a group.

Ha, yeah, just a little more depth, and lets be honest, most of it is an easy fix.

Put the defence back to how it was, NEVER play Rowe at LB again, don't play two inexperienced youngsters at CB, don't play Clarke up front alone.

Flippin' eck, I thought us Forest fans have been panicking...

When you sacking Pearce?

Tbh in a way we needed a kick up the back side for everyone at the club. We had it easy in the first section of games. No had closed down us as much as derby did and thats what happened. We can definitely could acheive a play off place and thrs 30 odd games to go.
Wolves know just to see how derby played and copy them . Certianly closing quicker and giving them less time on the ball.
there are the best team in the league imo so shoulsbt be ashamed of losing to them. But a loss is a loss 0pts no difference from losing 1-0 to 5-0as its still the same outcome.

just need to kick and end this month unbeaten which I tjink will be a good way to kick that game out of our heads .

I do agree on kenny though from a previous post. He has lacked tactical strength imo and make strange decision . Just remember bk to dec last year when he played cassidy . What was he playing at lol.

Anyway thats my thought onit

PANIC !! WHAT D'YA MEAN, PANIC !!

posted on 10/11/14

I've not seen any panic, just the realism of Wolves letting us down again.
Most have seen it many times before. The promise, followed by the crashing down to earth with a bump.
What is it that banner says? "This is our team and it knows but one division"!

Feckin sh@t weekend sports-wise.

Wolves, England Rugby U & L, Hamilton. At least Newcastle didn't let me down.

Pearce is currently plotting your downfall at Molineux on Saturday week. No danger of him going anyway.

Agree with some of your points Wolfgang. I wouldn't play Leon in any position. We have seen him as a lone striker, part of a pair and behind the main striker, and he has been useless in all those positions. Not signing a striker in the summer is our biggest issue.

Golbourne was unlucky to be left out but playing Rowe in his place was not a big problem. We conceded 4 in 4 games and if the defence looked better without him on Saturday it was not something I noticed.

I don't think Price is a defensive minded midfield player any more than Evans is. But they are both best played deep in my opinion. Playing those two in front of the defence and McDonald in the Edwards role is an interesting option. That's where he used to play for Sheff Utd and had more assists than anyone in the division.

I think that could be a good option too. I don't think Jackett will drop McDonald, despite his recent poor performances however, it is plain to see that he has been found out and is being closed down early, forcing him to give up possession in dangerous areas.

Maybe playing him higher up the field with Price and Evans will be beneficial and still allow him to have a big impact on the game. The only trouble is, doing this would involve Jackett recalling Price, a player he has ostracised without any explanation. One thing we have learnt over Jacketts tenure is that, if he decides he doesn't want to pick someone, then he can be quite stubborn. I fear that will be the case for Jacobs as well.

What’s teh story with Golbourne? First KJ states that it was a tactical change to drop him & Stears – too many goals from that side blah, blah getting out muscled blah, blah – now it seems he’s been injured since we signed and has a mutant foot.

You heard the same whispers as me? Played his last game for us?
