Rumours, rumours, nothing more

Always rumours at ER and it's not that long ago that Byram was nailed on to exit Leeds United. These will continue to circulate until he actually goes as was the case with the Scottish striker.

If he goes, and I'm not convinced he will anytime soon, no doubt it will be used as a stick with which to beat the current regime.

The last player to have his head turned in similar circumstances was Becchio. Let's hope we get a better deal this time around eh?

Byram has to stay at all costs.

He is the only thing standing between that god awful shower of hopelessness that is beradi and a regular first team place

Mattp

Some reckon beradi is better than Byram on here

Where is this rumour ????

Because I know people who have coached him and know him, and he's not the sort of kid to be like this.

In other words I don't believe it

Stevie, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it "Super Warnock" the manager for all that pushed Norwich into taking Becchio, I might be mistaken, but he did go on record as saying he thought he'd got one over on Norwich with him getting whatever + Morison!..

I think Warnock wanted shut of Becchio, which did us no favores at all!..

Some players u can tell are nobeds behind the scenes. Sam doesn't seem like that sort of lad. Not doubting he may have his head turned, just cannot see this trouble part being true.

Mike

Completely agree

£3m and we should get rid

posted on 17/11/14

Tbh, this has happened before

Howson>Johnson>Snodgrass in quick succession

Then Becchio went.

Byram for 3 mil would be a fair deal, Berardi ain't that bad, nothing special but no way in all that's holy is he a god awful shower of hopelessness.

Berardi or Richardson, Peltier, Bessone, McCartney........yh exactly.

Every tranfer talk since Byram hit the first team seem's to have his name on it!..

Maybe the temptation is there for the more money than sense league, but if he's got his head screwed on the right way around he'll know on the long run he's better where he is!..

"transfer"!.....ooopppppsss'S!.

Load of tosh about Byram

Strong rumour I heard is that he recently signed a 3 year deal and never wants to leave

posted on 17/11/14

On the incoming front, Slovenian centre back (26) has been linked today, Balasic. Don't think we need another one, unless he comes and Wootton goes.

posted on 17/11/14

If he wants out then let him go......he's not irreplaceable you know....if he's had his head turned then he's no good to us...is he ?

posted on 17/11/14

Shaun out of those three I think you could say only Johnson had his head turned anything like is being suggested here.

And hardly any Leeds fans rated him while he was here.

Howson and Snodgrass certainly weren't forcing a move away.

And I don't think Byram is either.

Just because someone leaves the club for a better team doesn't mean they forced their way out because their heads were turned.

We just have to accept that we are not great at football. And clubs can come in and offer a player better opportunities and more money and Leeds United accept the transfer fee too because those controlling the club believe it's in our best interests.

If the rumours aren't true,

it could be his agent, maybe a family member or a crafty scout in his ear'ole.

However, I don't believe Byram is a trouble maker, or the sort to try and turn other players heads; if he was, dressing room and Redders would pick up on it very quickly.

If they're not true, then welcome to the normal Leeds United....

Cellino not having two pennies to rub together, I believe that rumour, they're out of circulation now...

should read....if they are true, then welcome to Leeds UInited.........oops, silly me.

Its an age old trick by owners who want to cash in and save face to claim that a player has "had his head turned" or is "causing trouble". Don't believe it now any more than I believed it with Becchio. For me Cellino's ability to keep hold of Byram, Cook and Mowatt is a bigger test than his ability to buy Elland Road back by November.

I'll say it again

Where are these rumours ????

Never heard or seen them

posted on 18/11/14

I'm not surprised if the rumours are true, people may think it's a small thing but I think he might be getting to big for his boots, he is driving a matt black Range Rover with a personalised number plate, this is a been nowt done nowt player we are talking about not an established premier league star, plus if there is interest in him there's no way his agent will want him stopping at Leeds, hope he does stay as he's looking back to his best and young players can get lost in the PL.

posted on 18/11/14

^^ that clinches it then, matt black and a private plate. . Get rid

posted on 18/11/14

Wouldn't surprise me if it was true, gone are the days of total loyalty to a club, Paul Madeley started it but Gary Kelly was the last remnant of that particular club...!

Don't you just love it when folk say things like "where are these rumours I've not heard them...!!!" as though they are the only authority on rumours at Leeds United...?

It has been commented before on here that he may be believing in his own publicity a bit too much.

If his agent is waffling about him I reckon he needs to start waffling directly at him about getting on with putting his efforts into playing for the team.

When's it been commented on here before ????

It was a simple question, I haven't heard any of these rumours, there's nothing on the Internet or twitter

posted on 18/11/14

I've not seen, heard or watched anything that hints at his unrest - apart from on here.

It's an international break, not much actual news about the club - other than the news of ex-players with illnesses. Seems like some news is being generated to fill in some column inches on here.

Personally I hope the lad stays - the team has potential and hopefully he'll be part of that. From what I've witnessed he's not a bad player. Not sure he'll oust many 1st team regular right backs in the prem though. If he does move on, then I hope he likes reserve team footie, or going out on loan.

History is littered with young promising Leeds players who jumped ship for more corn, only to find themselves in the reserves or farmed out to obscurity ............. the grass isn't always greener

Im not sure that's how it was meant!

The detail in which the OP goes in to in this article, suggests that this is common knowledge, as in its been spoken about recently in interviews by players or former players or coaches etc.

But it hasn't.

There was a rumour last transfer window, but he stayed...and it hasn't been reported since, in YEP, online, social media or anywhere where the usual Leeds United articles are written.

And there haven't been any links to these rumours anywhere.

"Its also strongly rumoured that Leeds are in talks with German Centre Half Mat Hummels & Brazilian midfielder Hulk"

Now, 99.9% of people reading that will call <bullshit>, and rightly so. If I posted a link to back up my rumour then I can say, "this is where I got the info from"

Everything on these boards turns in to a mydick is bigger than yourdick competition. Its like listening to a load of birds crowing on at each other all day its pathetic sometimes.
