Think you're being a wee bit unfair to Izzy, he ploughed forward most of the night and was our only threat I would say.

He pinged a lovely cross to Griffith who got stopped by a great save, and did he not set up Johansen for the goal?

he did set up the goal, but too many crosses went high and wide as they do on a regular basis.

mulgrew, stokes, Griffiths.

3 players which imo aren't cut out for that level.

I also think you are being harsh on Izaguirre mate. He puts in some shift getting up and down the park and is in most cases out main threat going forward. His crossing does let him down sometimes but he also creates plenty of chances

I don't think he does enough rnr.

I will never question that he gets up the line, I think he is too slow in getting back down the line and is woeful when it comes to tracking runs.

his crosses rarely find a man.

Kenys just taken a dislike to our 3rd best player for no reason.

Agree op, well put say!

Izaguirre and Johansen were the only 2 pass marks in the first half. Bursting a gut for team

id say brown and johansen

I think izzy gets forward a fair bit rnr, I never dispute that, I don't think he gets back quick enough and I don't think his distribution is good enough either tbh mate.

As much as I like Izzy I have said for 3 seasons we need back up/competition for him

Honestly wont meet many teams who get up in your grill better than them last night, 20mins aside we matched them and had them scrambling at times3-4 players, with pace and ball control and then we will see

Will we get 3-4 players of that calibre? no fcking chance

Izaguirre is tireless mate

hes one of 3/4 players who actually try and create things

im not denying he tries mate, but too many crosses go up and out, and too many runners get by him.

all comes down to concentration tbh

take Johansen and Izaguirre right

both got into the exact same position in the space of 1 minute last night right in front of me

Johansen drilled the ball without looking up straight into the defender

Izaguirre looked up and Griffiths was inches away from getting his head on it, if it was Scep or Guidetti they wouldve.

youre being harsh on the guy

I was going mental at Johansen at that point everyone around me was furiously clapping coz we had won a throw in

i'm not being harsh ghod, its not like this is a one off game where his crossing was poor.

u know how many assists izzy has in the league this season?

Have to agree regarding Izzy ( sorry Keny)

Hes actually making Stokes look o.k in that left wing role ...all he has to do it take it in , shield it and roll into Izzys path ...the guy is a workhorse and a great player to have in our team

Yes his crossing could be more accurate , hes not a winger though and defensively hes as solid as any left back i can recall in my time at celtic

totally agree with thi"Salzburg are the level we want to be at, shut down teams quick, have fast attacking players, we have too many slow and workmanlike players in our team just now, need more runners and more creative players.
"

was so impressed by the way they zipped the ball about at times

Izzy doesn't have 0 assists this season.

I thought Izzy was excellent last night.

Set up 1, should have had two assits and even 3 if McGregor doesn't go down like a sack of tatties.

He puts balls into a decent area, yes 2 or 3 always go wayward but from your left back to have 2 or 3 decent crosses into the box each game, that's good going.

Especially considering Stokes does fluck all!

in the league?

how many then?

I don't doubt izzys work rate going forward, my gripes are that for the amount of the ball he has (and that's a testament to his forward play) there isn't enough of an end product

that and he is slow at getting back and 1-2s are a mystery to him

Izzy has consistently done more than lustig as an attacking force yet nobody has a dig at lustig. Maybe cause izzy doesn't have a cool accent or a modern haircut....
