Like the look of that Kwame Thomas mi sen.
I reckon it's agent talk trying to get more money out of Borough can't see Bamford (21 years a Red) wanting to join us on a permanent.
On the short time I sawThomas on Saturday, he didn't look like he is up to stepping into the breach if Martin is out.
Thought he was still a Chelsea player Wellies.
On the basis of Saturday, Thomas is certainly not ready to step up. Don't want Bamford back. He's a dog. 100%
Eight goals in fourteen matches, some of which were sub appearances.
We could do with a regular goal scorer. But Bamford never looked that interested.
But then........8 in 14??????????
Thomas looked OK for his age, but OK isn't what we need, we need someone who will perform right away rather than a prospect. Send the lad out somewhere to learn and get a proper stand-in or alternative to Martin in January.
In other news Derby County sell-out in one day 2900 gone..........http://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/article/birmingham-city-tickets-sold-out-2117312.aspx glad I got mine
Birmingham is shaping up to be a tough game under the new regime of Gary Rowett.
I'm glad to see thomas break thro into the 1st team....just wish lowe could do the same soon. I've seen both play a fair few games and they will be the next stars to come out of the youth team....Give Thomas a few games ahead of best and he'll make the step up in no time at all. Hoping Jamie Hanson and Luke hendrie both promising defenders can start pushing for places.....Hendrie can push Forsyth for a place.
I think Bamford as a permanent career player with Derby would be a totally different prospect than as a loanee. As I've said before, Bamford was not specially interested when he was on loan, except in finding the limelight for to impress his Chelsea manager. Now, if reality is making itself felt he could be a great asset. As I've also said before Bamford certainly knows where the goalposts are.
