Seems unlikely that Jacobs will get the job, but he may make an impact from the bench given a chance.

Would expect rvlp to be played there for now, and then who knows what happens during the window.

Would be great to pick up knockaert and wouldn't mind seeing eusebio on the bench maybe.

Personally, would expect to see VLP on the left and Henry on the right, assuming that we don't buy someone before the end of the transfer window.

Get a move on, Kenny, January will be over before you get your arris in gear and we'll have 3 or 4 fewer games for anyone to make an impact!

We have signed Jordan graham permanently now.

Beat me to it, Cinci. Just seen the same on the BBC Sport website.
Can't see him stepping-up over the next month, tho'.

Can't say I know anything about him to be honest.

Would assume he is competing with eusebio as next in line to the bench if we offload Jacobs, which has been rumoured.

Eusebio did not make a great impression on loan at Cheltenham so cant imagine he is close to Wolves first team at the moment

posted on 5/1/15

If I remember, the Cheltenham boss was impressed with him from training and the fans liked what they saw in his brief appearances, sadly he had a knock and didn't get enough time.

Still rough around the edges I guess and I think the boss said he was great with the ball but needed work without it or something.

Moxey has said Jordan Graham feels like a new signing and no more business expected this January.

The Cheltenham boss was so impressed with him he only selected him to start twice. As I said he didn't make a great impression

So as i said, did impress to a point, just raw, and did have a knock apparently.

Its OK to be wrong DJ, but not sure why the arrogant response

posted on 5/1/15

It is ok to be wrong. Just pointing out that it's you that's wrong not me. Cheltenham had 5 games while he was there and he started the first 2 and was then relegated to the bench for the other three. There was no fitness problem, just another example of one random fan on an Internet forum saying something and you taking it as gospel

posted on 5/1/15

No, there are other comments about a slight knock as it goes, I just didn't want to copy and paste a million articles.

You are forgiven though

So Cinci admits his opinions are all formed from reading other people's assessments.

There was no injury, he was available for every game and not selected. And he returned to Wolves fit.

It's my opinion that someone who cant hold a place in Cheltenham's team is unlikely to be ready for Wolves first team yet. I suspect he will go on loan again soon.

Thank you for forgiving me though. I do get embarrassed at times pointing out all the rubbish you write on here

So just to clarify.

The Cheltenham MANAGER says he is amazed by what eusebio can do and you draw the conclusion that he didn't impress??

He did pick up a knock, so not really bothered what you say about that to be honest.

By the way, guess who got man of the match apparently in one of those appearances

posted on 5/1/15

To sum up, he was available for selection every game but no matter how amazing he was in training and how sensational he was when he played, he was dropped after two games, so is unlikely to be ready to play for Wolves yet.

“Eusebio has been bright in training. He’s amazed us with one or two of the things he can do,” Yates said.

“He’s a good footballer and has great technical ability. Looking back on the Shrewsbury game, he was outstanding on the ball.

“It’s just about managing that transition between Under-21 football and senior football where every minute of every game means something.

“I will be speaking with Wolves properly about him after the weekend to see where we want to go with him.

“I have no problem with him at all, but we just need to work on one or two things in his game to help him really flourish.”

And form another interview

Robins boss Mark Yates said after that game that he was planning to hold talks with Wolves boss Kenny Jackett about whether to extend his loan deal.

“Eusebio is a good player I have been after him for ages but it was a question of where he was going to best fit in to our system,” Yates said.

“He’s a precocious talent and he has undoubted ability.

“Luxury player is probably the wrong word, but he’s brilliant with ball and the other side of his game off the ball is not always the best.”

So yeah, no hint of being impressed at all.

But yes, i do agree about him being ready, hence the rough around the edges bit, but that was why i said i assumed he was competing with Jordan Graham as next in line to the bench behind Jacobs, or indeed if Jacobs leaves as rumoured.

Don't want to get into this, (yes I do)

Quote from Yates on his debut:-

"Every time Eusebio got the ball he was threat for us, and we created some really great chances in the first half."

posted on 6/1/15

We do seem to be lop-sided with more right sided midfield players.

Didn't he go on an emergency 28 day loan anyway? Maybe the guy he went to cover for came back from injury. He was replaced along with 2 other players after their win at home against Northampton and Yates does play some weird systems.

As for me, I'd love to see another youngster given a chance. The more the merrier and it'll save us a whole bunch of money.

Drew 2-2 with arsenal in the u21s, weekes and torras with the goals.

Eusebio ironically serving a three game suspension for a red card.

dont get carried away, bolton beat them 3-1

posted on 6/1/15

no question mark with eusabios talent,, the question mark is over temperament and application, particularly with foreigners (racist remark ?)

posted on 6/1/15

i expect Eusebio will get another loan sometime soon and hopefully make more of an impresssion next time. But clearly by not being able to hold down a place in the Cheltenham team he is probably not ready for Wolves yet. It's a difficult step from u21s to the first team and going on loan to a lower division team and being able to hold a place in the first team with that club is a good way of bridging the gap.

A few media sources saying a number of Championship teams are tracking young West Ham striker Sean Maguire. Doesn't seem like a great idea to me, he recently went on loan to Sligo Rovers and got 1 goal in 18 games.

Hope that's not an indication on how much we are going to invest in 'strengthening' our squad.
