If I were a tennis player I'd prefer the Wimbledon title, it's the big one and what you dream of most as an aspiring youngster.

Just wondered what everyone else's opinion was. On the actual subject, it's between snooker, baseball and softball - the latter two are more popular in Japan, snooker is more China-based interest.

We definitely will. Can't see it getting the nod though. That's fine we'll have to stick with the UK, Masters and Worlds!

In my opinion these "sports" aren't what the olympics is about.

I love snooker but in the olympicsI want to see an individual performing at the top of their physical ability.

Sports such as snooker, bmxing, dressage and even football just don't belong there for me.

I want to see who can run, jump, throw, lift the most.

I also appreciate the need for other sports like table tennis and squash but again they're not like snooker in where it's more of a game than an actual sport for me.

Yeah I can understand where you're coming from. There are some sports that are just associated with the Olympics and snooker definitely isn't one of them.

I think it would be great if it was an Olympics event. It would attract more viewers like me for example as in general I'm not really a fan of the Olympics.
I#d have to disagree with Judd though saying winning Gold in the Olympics would be bigger then winning the World Title.

Mark Selby won the German Masters he beat Shaun Murphy 9-7 in the final yesterday. Shaun was 5-2 up and had a chance to go 6-2 up. Selby won the frame to get it back to 5-3 then in evening session he won the first 4 frames to lead 7-5 Shaun could have won those first 2 frames as well. It was then 7-7 and Selby won the last 2 frames.
Trump made a maximum in the quarter finals against Selby too but lost 5-4.

Been announced today that snooker will not be at the Olympics in Tokyo 2020. Can't say I'm too disappointed at that decision - not sure many of the players will be too fussed either.

But it's just been announced snooker will try again, this time biddi for the 2024 Games.
