How we playing? Typically I am unable to watch today and it sounds a decent performance!
Not complaining though.

Blind passe's forwards amd that's what makes him a more positive influence on the team than Carrick.
Blind > Carrick
both completely different but I prefer blind for his mobility
although I don't think either will be enough on their own against the heavyweights
Carrick passed the ball forwards more than any player in Europe last season.
It's a myth that he's a crab. This always happens. Once one player starts to play well instantly bunches of people come on and start slating the other player.
They're both good, all depends on the game.
Carrick and Blind with Herrera in front is what I'd like to go with for games against City and Chelsea etc.

Carrick does shield the defence slightly better, but the contribution Blind makes to the whole of our play more than makes up for it. Also, can you remember the last time Carrick made any contribution to our attack?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he's not an attacking midfielder so you can't really beat him with that stick
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Neither is Blind, he's playing where Carrick would be so that's a fair point I thought.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
fair enough
blind is far more attacking than carrick though. more versatile and can play left back or the wing
carrick is really a sitting midfielder that starts attacks rather than play box to box. far better defender too
id have carrick any day over blind, most underrated midfielder of his generation. blind could be carricks replacement though due to his age and mobility
Could we solve the problem by playing Carrick as a CB? Rojo is pretty mobile so could do the running, and with Blind in front to add to the energy in the midfield it might work?
Carrick hasn't started a attack in yonks.

no one thinks carrick is a crab apart from that idiot French. you only need to see his comments about fletcher to see what a tool he is
Teams attack us so rarely at OT that Carrick as a CB/Sweeper would work.

me too
with ronney as cf
people say it will be too defensive but I believe the opposite. It will allow the attackin players more freedom to do what they do best imo

That I would be more in favour of.
I dont think Carrick is a major force in midfield anymore and that crab status he had a few years back is actaully coming to fruition more and more nowadays,in my opinion.
Leicester and Burnley at home were always gonna be massacres. The real test will be at West Ham next week. Think we might get diccked.
What decent stream are you all watching this on then ? VIpleague freezes too much

We managed to beat them with 10 men for most of 2nd half.

Funny Leicester and Burnley we dropped 5 points to yet beat West Ham with 10 men. Think Burnley will be as tough a test.

He's a DM who had 5 attacking players ahead of him for most of the season. Considering our pretty good defensive record it's not really Carrick who isn't doing his job.
You might point to Blind's pass today which was good but remember, it is Leicester at home. Not Chelsea away.
