John Jo, I can confirm, through an impeccable source, that this is indeed the new Leeds United shirt.
Looks pretty good but hate the sponsor!
Serious question- would anyone here buy and wear one with that on the front?
The cockney term shirt-front has never been so apt!
I really cannot stand having sponsor logos on shirts. I won't buy one with any sponsor on it, let alone gfh.
Stel, thought exactly the same at weekend.
Heard today that the GFH logo is not yet a cert.
won't buy it. like kappa shirts but not with that on it.
I totally agree that GFH on it will not work.
I'll pass it on. It's not a done deal so maybe some bad reaction might get it changed before production.
I hear MC has fallen out with them again anyway 😉
Sponsor would leave a bad taste in my mouth, but if it's being used to write off debt owed to GFH then that would be a slight positive in my mind
Davidoff - assume that GFH don't sponsor and say we get £2 million for the sponsorship. That's £2 million that comes into the club and can be used to pay the tea-lady, buy some goldfish or pay the wages of that loanee winger that we all know we could do with.
On the other hand it means that Cellino needs to find £2 million of his open money to pay GFH. But what's wrong with that? He's paying for what he's bought.
If GFH sponsor and - as has been suggested - it has been done to reduce the payments Cellino makes to GFH then the £2 million never hits our books, it can't be spent on anything. Or at least nothing for LUFC. Cellino on the other hand has just got the same deal, but had £2 million knocked off the price.
Who's benefitted? Is it Leeds United? Or is Massimo Cellino's purse?
Stoopo, my information is that tens of thousands of shirts have already been shipped to stores.
Johnny,
Are you aware of any plans to sell outside of the club shop and online?
I think that costs the club sales and support too. If kids turn to something readily available in their local sports shop.
Sorry JLA my autocorrect misspelled your name above. It wanted to correct JLA to MAL too.
No worries.
The quantity and the communication I got leads me to believe they will be widely available in stores.
Well I only spoke to someone yesterday who told
me MC has fallen out with GFH and it might not happen.
Not arguing or trying to score points but I hope you're wrong. It will cost if you are correct. 😊
One question JLA - do we have enough stores to ship tens if thousands to?
Hi Stoopo, I don't own any stores and I am not clear if those are UK stores only or if they have gone to stores throughout Europe also, but the numbers were large.
