If United play like they did last week could be a great game. Love games like that where there's a wee bit of aggro going on.

Best of luck tomorrow, AK, hope you enjoy the day.

I'm sure you'll be wishing us Celts good luck on the day as well

I'd suggest Valentines day 3 years ago.

Good luck ya sand dancing phannie. I think Utd will give as good as they get.

AK Saw a similar post from Ivan on Friday and you are both good guys who just support a different team. Whoever loses tomorrow will at least have 2 opportunities for revenge in 6 days. May the best team win

I don't think that is totally fair Duke. Stretch and GMS can't play tomorrow and we coped very well without them last week. Of course they are a loss, but it's a one off game. We are underdoga, but believe we can make a real game of it.

Ath, Steve an Mordor. There are great posters on here and I will be on Monday regardless of result. The time of that depends on how bad my hangover is though

All the best

For what its worth I agree with that, its a one off game and in recent years we've been beaten at Hampden by the footballing genius of the likes of St Mirren, Kilmarnock and even (shudders) Ross County.

Just to confirm AK, I believe it was you that said that the Ronny Roar was a "minter", that does mean an embarassment in the East of Scotland?

I did say that, yeah. I do not think that would be the case tomorrow, but think it is when you have scraped a 1-0 win against Ross County. Just m opinion bud, everyone has one in football

Thats not a criticism, its just because a month or so back I made an attempt at humour with the term minter and the fact that Celtic had released a short with the Ronny Roar ie they would be cashing in on it so it would be a minter in all senses of the word.

No-one believed me about the East Coast definition of the word and the article fell flat.

You are sot on with the meaning UTC, Minter means embarrassment over here

I'm originally from the Eastern side of Scotland as well, so to speak so from one Eastender to another

AK - if I was an opposition fan, I would feel the same way as you do about the "Ronny Roar".

However to me, it's not about over celebrating or triumphalism, It's about Ronny & the players thanking the fans for their support and spending their hard earned cash

Let's be honest, the vast majority of football fans are just overgrown children (even if they're normally sensible, once they pass through the turnstile they change). The "Ronnie Roar" is obviously just to appeal to the manchild element of the support

Most things inside of a football stadium are cringey as hell if you were to do them in normal life; singing naff songs with large groups of men, screaming abuse at people who earn more than you, jumping about like a lunatic when a ball hits a net, eating a Lindlay's pie, all utterly unacceptable in normal company, but not when football's involved.

Back to the game, and due to financial restrictions & a general lack of enthusiasm for cup finals I'm not attending tomorrow. I'll be watching on TV, with the benefit of an off button if it all goes wrong. I'm fully confident of a United victory of course...

Stuff your good will and honesty

Only kidding AK, here's hoping its a good showpiece for Scottish football (Collum isn't the ref is he?), and may the best team win.

Which is us.

Your words, not mine

AK, problem for me is that we're perennial losers. Get to cup finals and inevitably lose them.
I see teams like Hearts and Aberdeen who get to Hampden and win.
No confidence at all today.
