I thought Sterling and Sturridge were not happy with each other last night. Both were greedy with the ball and when they didn't pass the other looked not happy. Sturridge is isolated on his own up front and needs someone alongside him -

I wouldprobably go with the same team that played against City. Sterling up front, with Sturridge on the bench. Markovic playing at RWB.

Studge has been a little off the pace, which is perfectly normal for a player who has missed do much of the season due to injury.

I agree with Paisley, we play with a higher intensity when Sterling is up front and we press a lot better. I think Sterling is better at stretching a defence than Sturridge because of better work rate and is more of a threat in behind because he's lighting quick whereas Studge is just 'quick'

Markovic is a good wing back and pushing sterling up as the tip of the diamond gets him involved.

Personally i stick with the same team vs swansea. I think Studge will be on his game against them.

Utds weakness is their mf . Carrick..mata..herrera are slow and so is blind. I feel we can control the mf and release the likes of sterling..coutinho and sturridge.

Hendo and the rest can close down utd and cause problems. We crrated so many opportunites vs utd last time we can do better this time esp with studge back.

Looks good to me too.

In the above team, the question for me is whether Coutinho and Sterling are playing on the correct sides.

Personally I would rather keep Coutinho on the left, where he has been effective, especially when coming inside and shooting.

I agree with GB. Watched a lot of Utd this season and they are really slow at moving the ball in midfield and for this reason I would not start Gerrard as he can't press and whenever he plays we sit back as he has not got the legs to go pressing high up the field.

For this reason I would probably play Gerrard as his lack of pace wouldn't be that compromised. 50/50 with Allen but remember SG has scored a couple v utd a few times recently. Its a massive game and we need a reresult so id rather he was playing than not. if he tires or we get overrun then thats what subs are for. He can just as easily be an impact sub
