Huzzah! Beat the first boss (by the skin of my teeth)

SOG, is it right that there are no checkpoints before the first boss, so each time you die (which I hear is aplenty) you technically start from the beginning?

Thats correct rap
Although to be fair you can open a shortcut which makes going back to the boss a piece of cake

The distance between bloodbourne a equivalent of bonfires is ridiculous! One wrong move and an hour or so of gameplay down the toilet

Graphics good?
Does it feel like a next gen game?

Haven't really noticed to be fair Greg. Atmosphere is excellent but it doesn't really stand out too much graphically. Not saying it's bad but no wow moments so far

Incredible game!

Genuinely the first game in years (probably since Dark Souls 1/Uncharted 2) that's had me turning on my PS4 at all opportunities.

With regard to difficulty; it is, as stated, an extremely fair game, so you will progress as and when you're ready. If adds such tangible emotion - palpable tension - when progressing, facing bosses & exploring new areas.

There's a good chance rap especially if you lob your controller at her in a fit of rage

There's also a boss called father Gascoigne. I can confirm his special move doesn't involve bringing cans of lager and home made sandwiches to a crime scene

once you die, you should be able to run past the enemies and get back to where you were before

its a skill to run past them but you get better at it, they stop giving chase after a while

speed runs are going to be fun in this game

Apparantly someone went through the game in just 44 minutes think he used a glitch though

Just bought Bloodborne a few days ago, haven't played it yet but just wondering what starting class and weapon should I use?

I've heard that Ludwig's Holy Blade is the best weapon in the game and I'm thinking of focusing my build around getting the best out of the weapon. Apparently, putting your points on Arcane makes the weapon so much better than just Strength/Skill.

Any suggestions?
