Sheringham & Cole wouldn't even speak to each other. They won the champions league together.
I've just bought some razor blades.
If a few on here want to borrow some, I'll duly post them.
The bigger picture is quite simple. If we don't go up this season then, we, like every other club left in the lower divisions will be fooked. Simply because FFP won't allow us to compete with the relegated clubs who will be parachuting in with £100 million a year.
End of. Fat lady has sung. Even a sugar daddy won't help, as Forest have found out, the rules won't allow it.
Prem'll be effectively a closed shop from next year. FFP is a godsend to relegated prem clubs they'd have to be a total bunch of muppets not to bounce straight back with that kind of an advantage.
Fulham & Cardiff aren't fairing too well Rameses.
Fulham and Cardiff had already spent their budgets up the year 3000 Milf. QPR will still be in debt when the sun becomes a red giant and enevelopes the earth.
This is what I mean Rameses. Burnley went up with no money to spend, haven't disgraced themselves and if they go down will have the parachute payments to try and get back.
If we went up I wouldn't expect the club to buy superstars like Savage, Miller and Carroll etc! Just be sensible like Stoke, Southampton and Swansea have been.
We have missed the boat big time, we have never had a better chance. Send the razor blades cos we will be playing the Blades next season!!! Boom boom.
I wonder whether the club will be sold at the end of the season. It wouldn't surprise me if our backers are fed up of pouring money down the drain and getting nothing back in return.
Richmond they Won't be worried we've got this
Why would they sell us, we make a small loss at the minute, are a smidgins away from the PL have am extremely loyal fan base, and if we sort the defence out should have no real issues for next season (Even in the PL we wouldn't embarass ourselves)
Manc every man and his dog new this defence was not good enough for this season from last season apart from Steve Mac
Think it could be ignored a little last season as we were scoring from all over the pitch whereas we've hit a barren patch at the moment.
It's pants to see and really frustrating but I don't think we should be at the wrist slashing stage just yet. Have said it elsewhere but not sure that i'd like to see us go up if we can't get a decent back 4 (Christie and Forsyth seem to have proper dipped lately.)
I want to know why we have brought in Albentosa and Warnock when we don't even play them
I've told you all before. It'll work out fine. We will scape into the play offs, then spawn our way to Wembley before annihilating whoever is unfortunate enough to play us 1-0. Then our manager will resign on the pitch in the post match interview.
I've seen it in the stars.
As if our owners will sell, and even if they did there will be lots of buyers
WE ARE the best ran club outside the premiership
Peeder I got told yesterday that Michael laudrup's spoken to Sam rush I don't know if any truth in that or not. Anyone else hear anything?
Parachute payments are due to double with the new sky deal. This is why it's now or forget getting promoted again ever.
Please explain to me how we are to compete against 3 clubs with that kind of power. FFP allows the parachute payment as part of income. How does anyone else generate that kind of income. We are the best supported club in the championship and still operate at a £7m loss. Our highest ever spend on a player is £3.3m and that is unlikely to increase. We have no big name players that are ours. We can't afford Ince or Bent who are mediocre prem players at best. Fulham and Cardiff would have been fine with £100m a piece. Just not with £40m.
The increase in parachute payments is a blatant ploy to close the PL to the same 25 teams. They'll go on raising it til it really is a forgone conclusion and then they say there is no competion from the championship it's time to sever the link. Prem chairmen hate relegation they think it's a totally ridiculous way to run a business.
The game is dead.
So you just ignore the FFP rules and go on and spend like a Labour Government in its last throws of power,if you end up with a transfer embargo then so be it,when you are rich beyond all expectation why would it matter ...a la QPR and maybe the dogs next year...spend spend spend is what i say and to hell with the consequences when you have £100,000,000 in the Fish Tank.:D
You really shouldn't believe what the papers say Ricky. Labour in 1997 inheried a deficit of 3.9% of GDP. By 2008 despite a massive necessary investment in replacing worn out schools and hosptal infrastructure they had reduced this to 2.8%. They then had to bail out the banks who had been profligate with money that wasn't theirs. Gideon has pushed the deficit up to nearly 6% of GDP despite not investing in anything.
We aren't out of comtention for promotion yet by the way. We can win the 6 remaining games and see where it takes us.

For foooks sake!!
We have gone from mid-table mediocrity to play-off final last season and play-off position again this. I share everyone's disappointment that we've wasted numerous chances in the last two months to get a stranglehold on this division. It hurts when we could, should, be so close to securing promotion. I get it. But think of where we've come from.
Derby is a club heading in the right direction. Strong management. Well financed. A proper conveyor belt of talent from the academy and development squad. Good players on long term contracts. Challenging for promotion these last two seasons.
The sky in not about to fall in because we've gone on a bad run late in the season.
Spart, you've just reminded me: Steve is like Gordon, you think everything is fine and then it goes t*ts up.
