Breath of Fresh Air

Certainly there's a drive and a tempo to the team. They seem to actually want to win ! I'm more confident of promotion as I think we,ll beat Hibs now ..then we will probably get Motherwell ! Difficult for McCall but it'll be nice to see McDonald again!

Coop it could be ross county, only 3 points between them and well.
When is the split?

McCall has certainly been a breath of fresh air and has woken up the dressing room. Pretty much a different team, with players coming in from the cold like Shiels and they actually look interested!

Has been good to see some organisation and work ethic from the team. As well as playing footballers instead of runners.

Still a lot of work to do though. And certainly a rebuilding job is required come the summer, whether it be McCall or someone else in charge.

Rats, Shields still doesn't do enough for me. McCulloch can GTF after yesterday, but as far as I am concerned the rest can stay, even Black if he is interested in just coming off the bench for a bit of energy at the end of matches.

McCulloch's appearance on BT Sport was cringeworthy, no intent my bawsack!!

The squad are good enough to challenge for top spot in the SPL especially now they are getting coached rather than being allowed to sit at home and play playstation and eat pies.

We need a good influx of new players, players that mccall wants and perhaps knows, Id love him to sign vuckic and maybe streete when fit, I think if he gets us promoted he will be given the job

McCall's work with zero budget obviously bodes well for him, but there certainly seems to be no promise of him getting the job permanently even if we get promotion.

I do think he'll get the gig though. He's already shown a big difference compared to the previous management which looked jaded, bereft and had pretty much given up.

Conspiracy

McCulloch can def GTF, as can many others like Mohsni, and especially Boyd. I'll find it hard to let Black off the hook after so many unprofessional exploits. Miller's just getting too old, otherwise I'd still ike his type around.

Really? Do all the Bears believe that? I don't think McCall does

Steve it was one bear that made that statement, why on earth would you think all the Bears think that, I said above we need a big influx of players

There has to be players in that squad he doesn't see as good enough for the premiersh and the way he wants to play the game, at the same time there will be guys he would want to keep, if he gets the job and I think he will if he gets us promoted he will play younger players too. I was speaking to Tom walsh's dad on Saturday and he says young Tom thinks the world of mccall and says he is making a huge difference

Lau - I clearly don't believe all the Bears think that, otherwise I would not have asked the question

Excellent

Steve, I don't know if everyone believes it but I certainly do. Celtic are no great shakes but they have built up a belief that defies their technical ability.

On the Mohsni front I think a lot of his problems have been caused by McCulloch's complete lack of positional sense and pace when it comes to being a CB. McCulloch is a beacon of what has been wrong with Rangers in the past few seasons. Law looks a different player, Boyd is out of contract anyway and looks like he is going to a player/coach roll at Killie. Shiels and McCulloch are the only 2 I would let go.

I'd let Foster, Smith, Black, Hutton, Mohsni, Simonsen, McCulloch, Daly, Boyd and Miller all go out of those out of contract at the end of the season.

I'd keep Robinson as a back up/3rd choice keeper providing we bring in someone of sufficient quality for the number 1 position.

Other than that getting rid of the above allows us to have a little extra wages that we might have otherwise not had.

Bluenose, would you replace any of those players? Who would you replace them with? All of those players have premier league experience. What exactly has Jon Daly done wrong except being bereft of service? Hutton and Black are both decent squad players, Foster and Smith good backup for left and right back respectively. I think Miller can still play a part. Just my opinion of course but sometimes just getting more out of the players you have can be better than wholesale changes...

i would like to see how moshni does with an actual defender as a partner.

i like the guy and he turns up at every charity event and does a lot of work for the club

SPR, my thoughts exactly.

Mohsni's only ever one pass away from total disaster.

" I'd let Foster, Smith, Black, Hutton, Mohsni, Simonsen, McCulloch, Daly, Boyd and Miller all go out of those out of contract at the end of the season."

I'd agree with all of that, plus throw in Shiels. Boyd needs his fkin baws rattled!

posted on 6/4/15

Rats, any defender is only 1 pass away from total disaster if the players they are playing beside are not up to the job of covering a mistake. Mistakes happen.

Daly's knees are done. I don't think he is a viable option in the top tier because of that. Its best to let him go for that reason.

Smith and Foster are <gash> They have no reason being at the club, and the full back areas are the two I'd look to improve in the summer. Mohsni is too much of a bombscare, can look great one minute then awful the next.

As for Black, he hates us, we hate him, would be better for both parties if we get rid of him. Hutton's 24 now, and hasn't really shown anything, we could replace him easily and cheaply.

Admittedly he actually looked a lot better yesterday but I'm far from convinced. In fact I'm not remotely convinced. I think yesterday's performance was a fluke!

Even if you were to put a solid actual central defender and not clogger McCulloch next to him he'll still be a liability IMO, especially if his partner in defence goes out injured. I just don't think he can be relied upon. He may be a really good guy but that can't make up for where he has been consistently found lacking.
